Is everyone in YJ in the TV? Also Can I use invisibility to have M'gann just jump in? Maybe try and take the guy's remote?

Well TL was outside while the others went inside to confront him. I'm sure that you can go that route or we can easily somehow let him escape if we need to and have a semi fresh start. Bringing M'gann in as back-up as some of the characters are either sent off for further training or something of the sort.

Damian isn't in the tv yet. It's been a while since we played.

Anyone else see the new episode? And it seemed more like a season premiere then a part two towards a season

Sorry been having a bit of an inspiration block here. I will try to get M'gann up soon.

Is TL flying or walking and is Damian in the same place?
PostPosted: Sun Sep 30, 2012 3:19 pm

I should probably go chek the thread.
Damian is currently in the house, just watched cas get zapped into the tv and still trying to maintain stealth while wanting toe beat Red X into the floor. But hasn't yet moved.

Is young justice still going or was too much momentum lost?
PostPosted: Fri Oct 05, 2012 4:16 pm

Nooo!

Well, it has happened before...

...hmmm, can I make a suggestion?
A mini-reboot. Make our own team; paying homage to YJ and all the previous adventures we had, but enough to clean out the cobwebs and generate some momentum out there.

Kind of like DCnU...only, working better for the characters.

((Wait, wasn't this like, planned before?))

Zane Strife
Hey there Zane, I was wondering where you were... Last week, I think xd

Anyway, how do you mean? Like start up our Phoenix Project characters now? eek

It's definitely an interesting idea, and we all know I'm a supporter of YJ operating in it's own time line, but I'm not sure about starting it up now. See, since the reboot is going to pull us to year one the side-kicks will be just starting out, they wont really have the experience to feel unappreciated yet. whee

Having their own "secret club" in the bottom of the Watchtower would be really cool, after all we have a sidekick for every JL core member, ((except for Hawkman (would it be weird if we had Hawlgirl as a teen sidekick (Sorry, I think I had a deadpool moment there. What was I saying?)))) so why not have the kids just get together and hang out like they did at the start of the YJ comic series, ok Robin and Superboy fought Metallo but the basic idea was hang out, I think. xp

Or, did you mean like kinda start over with these characters from their start of the year inauguration, Tim fresh faced (sort of) with no Damian to trip over. Cause, that would be cool too mrgreen

Im down for any idea. I miss the YJ adventures. I say, if anything, if we wanted to add an element of action, then it could take place a year or two after the events of PP begin.

Yoshimitsu Kujo

Hey, Yoshi! Good to see you too!

Well, how long have they been in the making...a few months, I should think.

In my opinion, if we have our own timeline it has to be at least one year for established canons, and first few months for new OCs. I kind of like the integration idea, but perhaps something more...independent. Like, the YJ was made to show the Justice League that they were ready...but still end up under the JL supervision. If we went something along the lines of the DCnU Teen Titans comic, where the team forms over an incident instead of being asembled, it would create a more 'independent' organisation comprised of teenagers willing to do what is right (or perhaps necessary) to keep the innocent safe.

I liked the old idea of the clocktower being the base, but I think in the reboot we should aim for something more...personal. Like a rented area (similar to the one shown in the previews for the new Arrow series), or perhaps a private space (like Nolan's reserve Batman room, outside of Wayne Manor).

I just think if the kids want to make a statement on how they can fight crime too, they have to make it on their own...at least in the beginning. Later on, we could have canon guest appearances and such...sort of like the Superman cameo in the 'Red Hood and the Outlaws' book.

Anyway, this is just my idea and thoughts...
...btw, I am writing this whilst at university! I can't believe I managed to survive school...

Zane Strife
*Eyes closed, arms folded in thought*

Well, starting a year or two ahead is one option, it would even give us the opportunity for time traveling crossovers if we want to go that way... Like, there's a catastrophe that virtually destroys the world, and the team go (to Earth 73 thread) back in time to try and prevent it, not incidentally changing their own history to match up with that thread, cause I imagine we're probably going to need it at least once xd
It even leaves us with the option of using stories like Titan's Tomorrow xp

The only problem I have with this option is age, Young Justice and Teen Titans were just that, a teen superhero team, but at the youngest these guys are starting out at sixteen, by the time we get this thing going the "kids" are going to be nearly eighteen anyway and heck, Nightwing was legitimately his own hero at eighteen, kinda defeats the point, doesn't it? neutral

As for their base, there's so many options, like Bruce's emergency Batcave behind Arkham ((imagine him walking in during the Arkham Asylum story to find half a dozen kids using his command center as a club house xd )) Realistically speaking it would depend on what kind of story we use, to kick things off, I think a rescue would be traditional is we're sticking to the Young Justice image, in the Comics they rescued Secret, in the TV show it was SB. Maybe we could play Superman: Apocalypse and substitute the leagues involvement for their minis? Dunno, I do think Tim would probably have or know how to get their phone numbers xp

I think make a statement would be preferable, we didn't do so well at the covert ops thing, it was mostly charge off and get that guy. rolleyes

As to your having managed to survive school, congrats, but it has to be said twisted

Yoshimitsu Kujo

Time travel may be something...like coming from a world ruined, and where the Teens have stepped up to the plate when the Justice League has fallen. It would put their experience in their younger bodies.

It would put them in an interesting position; technically, they believe they have earned their right to make their mark amongst the heroes. However, who would take a teenage hero seriously? Plus, the gift of youth may...affect some people in different ways. *Looking at Kid Flash here in particular* Some of their...maturity may be exchanged with a kind of need to express the joy of being a kid again.

Just putting this out there, but club house' is probably not the right word. Not being picky, but I would kind of want this RP to stand out from the Teen Titans ones floating around. A vast majority of them revolve around hanging out, yada-yada...well, we could explore a different method. Think of it as a different conclusion to the YJ episode where the League is gone, and the world looks as if it will end despite their best efforts. Instead of it being a simulation, the 'more-mature' heroes somehow leap back to a point where something initiates the invasion or destruction. Perhaps there was even a malfunction, and they arrived earlier than intended...

I would probably use the Steins;Gate logic here of the memories being recorded and 'transported' back to a point in the past, providing their younger years with the knowledge and experience. Obviously, we don't want them to look perfect, so there will be some...flaws in the system. I mean, in DCnU the Legion are unable to time-travel, and so our own tech would be far from perfect. Plus, there would be the problem of adapting these memories to the physiology of a teenager...
...for example, whilst the adult version of *generic hero name here* could lift a car, the teen version can only just about lift it off the ground. However, his memories confuse him into over-estimating his current strength. It would get him into trouble...so that might be something to work on.

Also, certain secrets which were uncovered in the futre might have been lost in translation...such as Miss Martian's White Martian origin.

Also, phone numbers! In the past, they might not yet have those numbers!

If we do do a escue arc, it would be right off the bat as they would know who to rescue, and where they would be. Would be a good opportunity for the team to first meet up.

I would say we would need to recruit a few people t lay the villains though. One of the problems I think we had was because we had too few villains. We need to establish the villains, and make them 'attractive' enough for people to want to play them. I mean, generic villains aside, we would need to decide upon the primary antagonists...the ones to bring about the end of the world which forced the YJ team to 'bamf' their memories back to their younger selves...one plot twist we could have is that some villains also transported their memories back, so it puts them on an even playing field. But perhaps not all of them...

...seen it all before, I WAN'T MY MONEY BACK! xd
