Selina yawned as she walked down the hall in her oversized pj top. She looked at Kai, sighed, then said, "I'm making pancakes. Want any?" She walked into the kitchen.

Kai huffed. "Damn it." He put down the canvas and picked up another and started sketching on it with a pencil.

Selina prepared the pancake as instructed, then made her own, pouring grape syrup all across the pancakes surface. "Don't make a mess." She told Kai, setting a plate in front of him.

Kai looked up at the pancakes and smiled. "You're the best." Over the next minute, the pancakes were gone and Kai was sketching again.
