What I like is the " hidden " jokes.
Such as, in Duke Nukem: Zero Hour, the pigs are in every era, named differently in each. In the Victorian era, there's one type that's well-to-do and high-class dressed with a top hat and everything, and that one is called " Capitalist Pig. "

It took a while for me to get the pig/cop joke. If nothing else the Duke games have a pretty good sense of humor.

You know ... I've come to the conclusion that, given the really weird a** comics I used to do many years ago, and the equally weird crap Gaia come up with for plots, that maybe I should work in their writer department! xd

Relevant excerpt from blog:
Second item of heavy, trippy s**t: my mind has been harkening backwards to somewhere in the early 90s. More so in reference to some really weird ******** up comics I used to do way back when. Namely involving UFOs, cornfields, and snowmen. And bears driving ice cream trucks. I s**t you not. Akin to a B-movie from the 50's, but with a heavy metal soundtrack. XD Of course, I also watched arseloads of MST3K back then, and even those really bad movies gave me some inspiration.

I used to have an idea for a comic about a band of desert pirates that went around in a school bus with tank treads,the pirates include, to the best of my memory, a kid with a mythical wooden sword, a sharp shooter scholar, a guy with a really really big sword, a bouty hunter samuri girl, a ninja girl who could change the color of her clothes, and a catgirl alchemist. As you could probably tell I watched alot of anime back in the day.

Sounds like it. I had a comic idea involving the Pope getting powers from a pair of sneakers handed down to him by God. No one could recognize him with the sneakers on however,
Sample conversation: *The Pope just saved some people8 Person 1: Isn't that the Pope? Person 2: No, the Pope doesn't wear sneakers. When was the last time you saw a Pope wear sneakers? Person 1: I suppose your right.

Johnny Malone Bears driving ice cream trucks? Sounds like my kind of comic! Care to expand? Sure! ^__^ You see ... I have a very, very odd imagination. And, during that long lost era which is now in the mists of nostalgia, I sometimes hung around some rather eccentric folk. With that said, there used to be a cornfield near my house, and I'd sometimes cut through it to go to a friend's house. So, I'd imagine some really off the wall things. Like aliens. And the aforementioned bears driving ice cream trucks. And, during the winter, snowmen would be added to the equation. And then, we had Sam, a character whom was more or less based on me. And, her adventures tended to take place within dreamscapes. Thus, why I think that I could get away with having some truly surreal happenings afoot.

Sounds cool, by having bears in there you upped the coolness factor by at least 20 points. And a little eccentricity is good every now and then.

Missing: Sounds about right.
Angel: A commendable guess, but not quite. ^^;;

Sandstorm was what my comic idea was called, basically a boy wants to become a pirate so he cuts down the runt of a tree infront of his house and makes a sword out of it and sets out on his adventure, not too long into his quest he stumbles onto his "ship" a schoolbus with tank treads and snowmobile skis. He then recruts his crew of pirates and sets out to get loot and fame.
