Arus entered the academy with a bored expression on his face. He felt he should already be a ninja, learning the shinobi code and going on missions. But it was required that he get some training from here. He grabbed a scroll that would tell him the basics for the Henge no Jutsu, the transformation technique. He remembered how his father told him to take it when he should train. He should learn the basics, work on molding his chakra, and then trying to use the jutsu. Arus sat in a meditative position and concentrated on his chakra flow. He was letting it flow all over his body, knowing that it would be helpful when he would transform.

After some time meditating, Arus rose up to practice the transformation. There was a mirror in a corner of a room. He stood in front of it to judge his look. He concentrated on how his father looked, every detail about him. Once he got the mental image down, Arus performed the necessary hand signs and was he was surround by smoke. He looked like a shorter version of his father with a few abnormalities in his features. Arus dispelled the jutsu and tried again. After two more tries, Arus resorted to molding his chakra while picturing his father. The small details that didn't come out right the first few times were his main focus. Arus then performed the hand signs again and the smoke surrounded him again. Arus looked like an exact copy of the man who raised him. He checked each detail to make sure he was fully transformed. He performed the technique a few more times until he was able to do it without much concentration.

Arus canceled the jutsu and rolled up the scroll.
'This jutsu would be effective for a little while during stealth missions. I guess it was worth spending time learning.' Arus turned in the scroll and performed the jutsu once more for good measure. He was satisfied.

User ImageShin yawned as he awoke to the sun bright in his face through his window. The young swordsman was not one to take long doing anything so he quickly rose to his feet and briefly stretched himself out. Once he began to fully wake up and his senses came to him Shin threw off his pajamas and put on his regular clothes. Nothing fancy, just clothes. After a quick breakfast of cereal and milk Shin grabbed all of his gear as he was walking out the door. He always spent a brief moment loathing his katana as he strapped it onto his back. There was nothing wrong with the sword, for it was a very high quality weapon with several tricks up its sleeve. But Shin knew as well as anyone that a sword from the Hidden Katana village should have an emitter to give it special powers. Shin briefly cursed his recently deceased parents for leaving him with an incomplete weapon.

When his moment of unhappiness had passed, Shin was already out of the dormitory and well on his way to the training ground. The academy campus was still incredibly quiet since classes did not start for another hour or so. The young swordsman preferred to do his own training before classes started though. He wanted to be the best and that simply would not happen if he subjected himself to the same mediocre standard as the rest of his peers. Once he arrived at the smallest training yard with only three wooden dummies, the shinobi student dropped his backpack near the edge of the space before approaching the center of the small clearing. Shin decided to start the morning by reviewing jutsus he had learned in the last couple of weeks at the academy.

There was one technique in particular that Shin favored, but he did not quite have it mastered yet. Although not a vain person for the most part, the young swordsman could only imagine how the other students would gawk at him if he showed up to class with mastery of the tree climbing technique. A wide grin spread across Shin’s pale face as the finished the thought. With that idea in mind he approached the nearest tree and began to focus. After calming his mind Shin formed the ram hand sign to help him focus his chakra. The shinobi student willed his chakra to focus on the souls of his feet as he remembered what he had read about the technique. He knew he had to be very delicate with the chakra usage of this technique. There had to be enough chakra present to stick him to a surface, but not so much that he simply repelled away from it.

Shin played around with the amount of chakra he was feeding into his feet for a few minutes before he found an amount he was comfortable with and could maintain. Once he was settled in that Shin began a light jog towards the nearest tree that evolved into a dash once he reached the base. His confidence began to soar as he had made three steps up the trunk of the tree. But Shin’s high was immediately shot down as his feet detached from the surface and he found himself about to make a ten foot fall onto the flat of his back. Most ninja his age would panic, but someone as obsessed with becoming stronger as Shin. The young swordsman refocused himself and found his center as he reformed the chakra on the souls of his feet which quickly reattached the surface of the tree.

Micha walks up to the doors of the Shinobi Academy. With a deep breath she opens the doors, and enters. This is where it all begins, her journey of becoming a great ninja starts now. She has taken small steps in the past towards her ultimate goal, but here, in this building, is where she starts. Soon after she exits this building, all will learn of her name. At least, that is what she desires. She walks through the halls both of her hands in her jacket pockets. A click sounding off with every stride as her foot connects with the ground.

As she approached the end of the hall, she reached an exit, and proceeded to head outside. It was time to train, wasting time, though she had plenty of it, wasn't on the to do list for today. She already knew how she would start. Techniques are necessary for strength, but in reality you can know the best technique in the world, but without fundamental strength and chakra control, they are useless. So that's where she would begin Chakra control. With great Chakra control she would be able to handle abilities better, plus not to mention prevention of any unnecessary chakra loss do to poor chakra control.

She takes her pack off of her back and places it on the ground beside her. She stood motionless, trying to think of how to begin. All she had to do was focus a mixture of internal energy and spirit together. How hard can that be? About as hard as it sounds.... She inhales and closes her eyes. Without exhaling she begins to focus on her body. In her mind a mirror image of herself appeared. The image was doing nothing but standing like her. That is until a tiny flash appeared from the left side of her chest. That flash turned into a steady, but tiny light, Chakra. She continued to concentrate, the light slowly growing eventually enveloping her entire torso. It was becoming more difficult to make the light grow to her extremities. Whenever she tried to make the chakra flow evenly through her body, towards her arms and legs, the center of her body would become dimmer. While all of this was going on she was able to feel this happening to her body, her mind just making it in visible form for her using her imagination. She opened her eyes and exhaled, to take a quick break from the training. For a first try it wasn't too bad.

She bent over and began shuffling through her pack, until she felt a cold bottle on the tips of her fingers. She grabbed the bottle of water and opened it taking a few small sips from it. She wanted to finish what she had just started. Mastering Chakra would help her in learning new jutsus like being able to walk up walls, or stand on water. Getting this down was a must. She began the training again. Doing all of the same, except this time she would do it with her eyes opened. Being able to control the chakra with her eyes closed was great, but in battle or in a sticky situation she would probably be better off being able to see her surroundings. She focused, feeling the same warm feeling she did before envelop her body, this time in a much faster manner. Though she still struggled to have it reach her extremities. She focused, and stood motionless for about twenty minutes until finally a smile grew on her face, as she finally was able to have her chakra evenly distributed throughout her body. Obviously being a low leveled shinobi meant her chakra control wasn't as adept as say a Chunin or Jounin. But it was a job well done. With more practice in the future she would have a more advance and rapid control of the chakra in her body.

Now that she has improved her chakra control, it was time to train her overall stamina, and speed. This could be done by the application of weights to her body. She wasn't going to enjoy this part, even though she ran every morning to stay in shape, this was a different type of training. She bent over, unbuckling the straps of her shoes and slid each foot out of them. The grass flattening under her bare feet. She wiggled her toes, letting the grass brush up against them as she searched her bag for the weights. After a few moments she pulled out the weights she would need for the training session. She had weights that were placed around her ankles, wrists, and a vest for her torso. The weights on her ankles weighed 10lbs each, 5lbs for each wrist, and the vest weighs 20lbs. All in all she was about to add 50lbs to her slender frame.

She removed her jacket, and over shirt throwing both of them down on her shoes. The vest would not be comfy over the jacket, plus the running with all that clothing on would be rather hot. She stood there in her black tank top, which in length was just past her belly button. Bending over once more she took a quick swig from her water bottle and grabbed the weights strapping them on the designated spots. She could already feel the weights pulling her body down. It was going to be hard to run, but she would have to push it as hard as she could. She looked around studying her surroundings, creating a path. As she did she began to stretch, folding her right leg up, and pulling her foot up until her heel was touching her butt. She held this position for a few seconds and repeated it on her left leg, still scanning the area, finishing up the route she would take. She bent down touching each of her toes to finish her stretches, then stood up and took a deep breath before propelling herself forward.

She literally jumped from the spot she was standing in, which was kind of a mistake do to the extra weight, causing her to almost stumble a bit. She regained her stability and sprinted as fast as she could along the path that she created. The path went as followed; it started off at her pack, which was about 20ft from the entrance to the training grounds. The run began with a simple 50 yard sprint that leads towards two tables. The tables would be used as hurdles which with the added weight wouldn't exactly be easy to clear, not to mention the second hurdle would be increasingly difficult since her momentum would be slowed down from the distance of the jump on the first hurdle. Then after the table hurdles she would run 70 more yards until she reached a series of five training dummies which she would use as a slaloms. Being sure to weave in and out of each one, trying to keep her speed as high as she could. After the dummy slalom was an incline. Which lasted 30 yards then she would be at the top. At the top were a few targets that were used for throwing weapons. She would run up to them and touch it, then stop and push off of it, turning at a 90 degree angle to the left, to run down the 30 yard decline. Once at the bottom it was a sprint to the finish which was 120 yards in itself. Totaling 180 yards, which all in all isn't far. But with the added weight, and obstacles it would be challenging. Plus she planned on running it as many times as she could.

She reached the first hurdle and jumped over it, clearing it pretty easily. She landed and had enough time to take three more steps and had to jump over the next. It was difficult, and her foot was close to clipping the end of the table, but luckily she cleared it, though it wasn't the most gracefull of moments. She ran at a slower pace towards the dummy slalom. Once she reached them she began to dart left and right in between the each of them, hoping to the side and pushing off of the foot that landed first to make the next move. This was much more graceful then the hurdle, but very taxing on her quads. After completing that section she sprinted up the incline until she reached the top, not slowing down as she reached the target. She pushed off of the target using all of her strength to head in the desired direction. Maintaining her balance she ran down the hill and sprinted out the last section of her path.

She repeated the process a second time. The sound of her feet hitting the ground which would be clearly audible for anyone who was outside. Along with her heavy, tired breathing. After completing the route a second time, she attempted a third. She cleared the hurdles, the obstacles, and the pivot point at the top of the hill, but as she ran down the hill that's where her legs gave out. The tip of her foot caught the ground, forcing her body to fall uncontrollably forward making her face plant into the ground. She rolled a few times down the hill until she was at the bottom where she laid motionless. She made no movements, almost to the point where it was worrisome. That is until the sound of soft laughter came from her direction. How embarrassing of a moment that was. But it was probably a funny moment for someone to watch. She rolled onto her back and continued laughing at herself.

She was completely exhausted. She wanted to get up but it wasn't going to happen. Her right arm moved unlatching the weight she had on her left wrist, and then unbuckled the weight on her right wrist. She let the weights fall to the ground next to her. She tried to sit up but at the moment, she didn't have the energy too. She slipped off the weighted vest and pushed it away from her the best she could, which was only being able to move it about 5 inches away from her. The breeze felt nice as it passed over her. Laying in that spot was what she would be doing for a while. The only thing that would be better is if someone could walk her water over to her. Because she wasn't going to be moving for quite some time.

User ImageOnce Shin had walked himself to the top of the tree and enjoyed the bleak view for a few moments, he walked himself back down the tree trunk to ground level. The young swordsman allowed himself a short break of a few minutes to stretch out and catch his breath. He was incredibly proud of his achievement, but as was normal for the teenager he wanted more, so much more. The only way to outdo himself from that last achievement would be to master the even more advanced water walking technique. The idea carried a spark to Shin’s eyes as he considered the prospect. Without very much consideration at all, the young swordsman decided upon mastering that jutsu before class started as well. He began to run as he picked up his bag from the side of the training yard and made his way to a nearby stream.

It took a minute or so to dash across the academy campus, but Shin soon found himself standing on the bank of a small stream that would be sufficient for learning to walk on water. He put his bag down next to a large rock as he collected his thoughts. The young swordsman thought back to when he read ahead in his academy texts to the water walking technique. It was not that much different from the tree climbing jutsu he had just learned, but was none the less far more difficult. On top of conjuring and focusing enough chakra to keep his feet afloat, Shin knew he needed to keep the energy flowing at a constant rate or he would lose his balance or simply sink. The young swordsman almost got dizzy thinking about all of the factors he needed to consider simultaneously in order to master this technique.

Shin took a deep breath and cleared his mind. He stripped down to his boxers so as not to get his clothes wet should he fail for a few tries. The young swordsman was determined to show his potential and would not let himself leave this stream bank without having this technique mastered. Shin stepped up to the very edge of the water and let out a deep breath to relax himself. He formed a ram hand sign to help him focus and control his chakra. The swordsman let his mind clear and began to implement the needed steps for the task at hand. His chakra began to flow freely and focus around the soles of his feet. Shin took several minutes to adjust the flow of chakra into his feet, hoping to have it perfectly attuned when he took his first step. It seemed like forever before he finally felt he was ready, but when the time came he knew it.

Shin tried desperately to remember all the factors of his chakra he was focusing on at once. When he was fairly confident he had done so correctly, the young swordsman took a step towards the surface of the water. He cringed slightly as he felt the cool stream touch the bottom of his foot and was fully expecting to fall in. But to his surprise Shin felt a resistance against the bottom of his foot and looked down to see it floating solidly on top of the running water. He followed up by placing his other foot on the liquid surface as well. The young Daimyo could only smile and let out a small chuckle at how excited he was to have mastered the water walking technique. Anything more and he would have lost his concentration and fallen into the stream.

Arus picked up another scroll and sat down to read it. It was the Bushin no Jutsu, or clone technique. Making a simple clone of himself would be nice and it would help in situations. Again he started in a meditative stance to help control his chakra flow. He concentrated on his own features this time, since the clone would be an exact copy of himself. The peace around him helped his concentration greatly.

After meditating he preceded to practice his hand signs. Being able to do them flawlessly would help if he was in a tight situation. Once he was able to do them quickly, Arus began performing the jutsu. He first clone was a flop. It looked like a ragged dummy that was flopped on the ground. Ater a couple more dummies, Arus began producing what were more like translucent copies of himself.

He thought that was how the jutsu was supposed to go until he read a little further down the scroll. The clones were to be pretty much real. Arus concentrated more on his chakra output, thinking he might not be using enough.
'I think I got the hang of this now.'

As Arus continued using this jutsu, he improved. Eventually the clone was exactly how it should be made. After he was comfortable with his clones, Arus decided to test them in battle. They should be able to rival his skills even though they vanish after being assaulted. They raced across the room throwing shuriken at each other, dodging to not be hit. He tried light hand-to-hand combat with the clone. To his surprise, Arus had created a clone that could fight back a little. Arus made a few more clones and tried his chakra control on them. He surmised that it would be easier to make a small amount and control them now for different types of combinations.

Class was over, everyone was going home, Luna also decided to do the same. ~ The lesson today was about meditation. Not something I'm really good at. I get distracted by every little thing there is. I should try though... ~ On the way to her dorm she passes by a loud, rowdy group of kids. ~ Instead of hanging around being up to no good those kids should really be training. Oh well I guess that's what seperates the top shinobis from the lower ones. I don't believe in staying around to hangout. It's not really me. ~ She without stopping continues her way to her room. People are around hanging out all over. Showing off what they have instead of training or studying. That annoyed her...she finally got to her room, opens the door, and starts to settle.

~ Let me begin meditating. It shouldn't be that hard even with the kids next door making so much noise. ~ Luna crosses her legs and sits down on the floor and begins to meditate but that doesn't last long. Getting aggravated she makes a face and tries to ignore all the noise going on. ~ I can't do this...these guys won't quit. Let me try again. Just picture yourself in alone. No one in site - no one within a 50 yard radios. ~ The noise just keep getting louder and louder. "Ok WELL these kids don't want to stop, they just keep on getting louder. I think I'm a have to find another spot to meditate...ugh this is a bit annoying."

She goes back to the class, finding it empty, she finds a seat in a corner and sits down. A teacher walks by sees her but does nothing about it, he continues in his way. ~ I guess sensei doesn't mind. Finally peace and quite. Now let me begin again. Focus on just yourself...no one else around. ~ Luna closes her eyes and begins to meditate...

At the age of 18 Luna's life as a shinobi now begins at the academy. As she enters parts of her past still tends to haunt her, the fact that her parents had not wanted this life for her, and the letter they had written for her in the case something happened to them she was to read it. Within that letter it had said it all - everything she needed to know; it was because of that letter she had decided to be a shinobi - not trully knowing the dangers that comes within that life.

As Luna sits in class she does her best to listen intensively to the teacher's instructions on controlling your chakra; also known as chakra molding, and how important it is. As the lesson continued, she begins to ponder ~ I should start taking notes so I can look back at them for when I begin my training - chakra molding is a very good key element to a shinobi. I mean really what's a shinobi who can't control there own chakra levels. It teaches us self control when we perform certain techniques like tree climbing and water walking. ~ As class finishes and everyone starts to head back to there dorms, Luna stays behind and goes outside to begin practicing what she has learned so far. She finds the perfect spot - an open field to begin her training. "Let me start with meditation first and than I should try to mold my chakra." As she is saying that she crosses her legs and sits down. After about an hour or two of clearing her mind of all distractions and remembering everything her sensei said on chakra molding, she begins with making the proper hand symbols.

~ Clearing my mind of everything and just picturing my body. I did it...now that I got that let me picture the chakra flow through my body. First attempt...failed. This is a lot harder than sensei explained it. I need to concentrate harder. Let me try again. Focus Luna picture my body, ok got that now picture the chakra flow through the body evenly. Ok now I got it I can see the chakra flowing through the center part of my body now let's get it evenly through the rest. From my torso to my upper body and now lower body....I can do this. I can see the chakra flow but it's not flowing evenly. Failed...let me take a break. ~

She stops for the moment and walks to her bag to grab a snack while she continues to ponder some more. ~ What could I have been doing wrong...So far two times I tried and I failed. How hard could this really be. I need to keep on practicing. ~ Continuing her practicing she started getting weary so she decided to end the training for the day. On her way to the dorm she noticed there were a few other students training she avoided them and continued to her dorm. When she got there she showered and got ready for bed. A few hours passed by but she couldn't sleep. There was to much on her mind. She went back outside to the opened field she was in earlier that day. It had to of been past one in the morning but she couldn't get over it she needed to keep busy. She started exercising - getting stronger. ~ It seems no matter how many times I try, it seems I'm just wasting my time...I just keep getting weaker. No let me not think like that. The night air feels so good. The sky at night looks so beautiful. Let me get back to work. ~ Now at 3 in the morning she try's it again.

~ Focus. I can do it. Just picture my body first, got it. Now picture my chakra flowing in my body. My torso first...did it. Now just picture the chakra flowing from my torso to the rest of my body. No rush Luna. Take it nice and slowly. So far so good, just a little bit more. Finally I see it - I got it. It's finally flowing evenly through my whole body. ~

After a very well needed and long rest, Micha rose from the ground standing in her running attire. She wouldn't be taking anymore breaks until her training has been completed. She was getting quite antsy and wanted to begin learning jutsus. She would start with Henge no jutsu. To be able to transform into other forms would be a great ability for a ninja regardless of rank.

Here was the easy part of this jutsu, figuring out what to transform into. As she drifted off into thought, her pointer finger tapped gently against her lips. She did this a few times trying her best to think of a form to change into. Then it popped in her head, it was perfect. "Ah, that'd be perfect!" She spoke, a loud to herself. Alright she had the image in her head. Now it was time for the hard part. Luckily for her she trained in focusing her chakra. So that would help while trying to transform her body into something else.

She took a deep breath and put her hands together. With a deep breathe she conducts the necessary hand signs. "Henge No Jutsu!" With a poof of smoke, where Micha once stood was a dog, her old pet Shadow. It was a perfect transformation. She took on her old companions form perfectly, tail length, the jet black fur which covered the entire body, and the long droopy ears that she used to always play with. Her tail wagged back and forth excitedly, which was quite amusing to her, acting like a true canine. She sat down and nodded her head, after a few seconds a poof of smoke appeared around the dog, and she turned back into her former self. She smiled and folded her arms across her chest. That was easier then she thought it would be.

It's time for more training. She took a deep breath and smiled, next up is Bunshin No Jutsu. It would be like the previous jutsu she performed, but the difference is creating a copy of herself instead of trying to copy another object. But her confidence and determination is high, and she feels she should have no problem with her next task.

She focused her chakra throughout her body, spreading it evenly to every point. She would have to force the chakra out of her body to take form. She wouldn’t accept anything but perfection from this next attempt. She recalls everything she has trained through thus far. The chakra molding, and Henge No Jutsu would be key to creating a perfect clone of herself. This clone is quite usefull for a ninja, being able to trick, or deceive someone into thinking you are one place, when in reality you are in another is very important. She performs the necessary hand signs, and a mirror image of her appears standing next to her. It was amazing.

She reached out and touched the clones face gently pulling on its cheek. It was so cool, she would definitely be using this in the future. If only she had this jutsu when she had to do chores around the house back in her village. She commanded her clone to run to her bag where her pack was to go bring her the water bottle that Micha was too lazy to go get after her run. After a few moments the clone returned with the water. Micha cupped both of her hands letting her clone pour some of the liquid into her hands, she used this to wash her face. After she flicked her hands forcing the water droplets off of her fingertips. She looked at her clone and clapped her hands. The clone disappeared, the bottle falling to the ground all of the remaining water escaping through the opening. One more jutsu under her belt, she would be a genin in no time.

There were only a few more jutsus she had on her list that she needed to complete. Next up was another basic jutsu of academy students. Almost every genin had to learn this jutsu before they could graduate the substitution jutsu. Words weren’t even necessary to explain how important this jutsu was. As much as she enjoyed knowing how to make a clone of herself, this jutsu would undoubtedly save her life one day. And she already had a great idea on how to train for it. The best way to train this would actually put her health in danger. Now obviously she would want to do anything that could kill herself. But say, throwing a kunai straight up in the air and adjusting herself so it would land on her foot if the jutsu failed was incentive enough to concentrate and get the jutsu correct.

She reached into her kunai pouch and drew the all black throwing knife. She prepared herself, centering her thoughts and her chakra. She couldn’t afford to fail, she didn’t want to feel the pain of a knife penetrating her foot. It would not be a pleasant feeling. She looked down at the kunai and then down at her foot. She wriggled her foot, the grass tickling the bottom of her bare feet and shivered at the thought of the knife landing on her. She thought this was a great training idea, but she was having second thoughts. But this was what she decided on, and she was feeling confident enough from her previous training exercises that she couldn’t fail this one….

Now it wasn’t a training exercise to dodge the kunai, but to substitute her body with another object quickly and inconspicuously. So if in combat, someone may take a moment and pause thinking their attack landed and stabbed the real Micha, while she would be somewhere else safe thinking of her next move. She saw the log she would use to substitute herself with. The best way to do this would be to try and force some chakra into the log, making it look like her, once it is struck it will change back to its real form. Simple enough right? It does sound simple but it takes some skill of chakra, and speed to do. These are the two things she has already worked on.
She lowered her arm and quickly flicked her wrist, causing the kunai to fly straight up in the air. As the kunai flew upwards towards the sky, she adjusted herself so she was underneath the sharp blade. She watched it fly upwards, slowly losing its speed until it stopped and began to fall back to the earth. She readied herself, wanting to wait until the last possible moment before substituting her soft flesh which the kunai would easily cut through, with the hard log that the kunai would barely even dig an inch into. As the kunai raced down towards her the moment came.

For anyone watching Micha they may think she was crazy, not quite sure what she was doing. Especially when they see the kunai landing down digging into her bare foot. But after a few seconds, they would understand. With a poof a smoke Micha disappeared and in her place was a log that the kunai stuck into perfectly dead center. Micha was already walking back towards her pack, very nonchalantly. Another success, she was on quite a roll.

As she reached her pack she reached down into it and began to rustle through it. She pulled out a small book, which she used as a diary. She opened it and began to write in it about how her training has gone, making sure to jot down the embarrassing moment she had during one of her training exercises. It was one of her habits, to write down the events that happened through her day. She enjoyed looking back at the past from time to time. She flipped back to a familiar page, one with a picture on it. A picture of the form she used while completing the transformation jutsu, her puppy shadow. Shadow passed earlier that year but the picture and diary notes she had of him was something great she could always look back on to remember him by. A half smile appeared on her face as she gazed at his picture. She closed her diary and placed it back in her bag. It was time for more training. She was almost finished and wasn’t ready to stop now.
The next training exercise was tree climbing. Though it was known as tree climbing, it had other uses as well. It helped to control further concentration of chakra to certain body parts, and helped with walking on walls or ceilings. This would be useful for being stealthy and sneaking around unnoticed. She looked over her shoulder and notice a very tall, and very wide tree with marks cut into it. Obvious marks from former academy students who performed the exercise themselves in the past. Walking back to the log she used for her substitution jutsu a moment ago, she placed her foot on the log and pulled upwards removing the kunai from the thick wood. She walked over to the tree and looked up towards the top. That was a high climb, but she could see from the ground the gashes made. It has been done before so there is no reason that she couldn’t do this task herself.

Round one would be to see how high she could get. Then from there she had her goal. Keep passing that point until she reached a new height. Then continue this process until she is able to reach the top of the massive tree. “Right, here we go.” She said to herself as she took a step backwards before running at the tree. She began to ascend the tree before she felt her balance begin to fail and with her right hand made a slash into the tree marking her spot. She was only able to get up about 10 feet before falling. This wasn’t as easy or successful as the last few training exercises, but she wasn’t discouraged. This time she would just have to concentrate harder, focusing her chakra into her feet. It was easy to do that, the hard part was finding the balance. Too much chakra and she would catapult herself off of the tree, too little and she would fall flat on her back. She had enough falling down during the training today. So she would be sure to do this one with great concentration and control.

It was time for round two. She stepped back once more and focused the chakra into her feet. She ran up the tree and quickly passed her previous mark before the feeling of being unbalanced returned. She slashed the tree and pushed off the tree flying backwards land on the ground gracefully. This time she reached 25ft. Not bad, but she had a very long way to go. She continued to try, over and over again. Finally after a few hours of doing so she was able to reach the top. She jumped down using the branches as posts to land on jumping branch to branch until she reached the ground safely. She was out of breath, and her joints hurt slightly from all of the jumping. But it was a good feeling, a feeling of success. She found the perfect balance and was now able to walk, and even run up the tree.

She walked back towards her bag and rolled her neck, stretching it out. All was set just one last training exercise was left, water walking. She packed up her shoes and jacket into her bag and closed it up, placing it on her back. Unfortunately there was no body of water outside for her to train this task on. But she did remember seeing a pool area inside of the academy building that would be more than sufficient for the training. With that thought she walked towards the building doors and opened them entering the academy once more. Walking through the halls she reached the room that was marked as pool. She entered and gasped at its size. This room was huge, and the pool itself was just as big. It was the size of a lake secluded to a section of the academy for training water walking, swimming, or water style jutsus. At least that’s what she assumed it was for. She walked across the room to a door that was designated for girls, and opened the door heading inside. After a few moments she came out in her all black bathing suit, which helped to amplify her pale white skin. The only color she had were the tattoos on her body. This was a precaution, just in case the tree walking training didn’t transfer over to being able to walk on water.

Walking up to the pool she leaned over looking down into the water. It was clear and decently deep. At least where she was planning on entering was. It was marked at 10ft which is almost double her height. She dipped her foot in out of habit, holding her hair back with both hands keeping her wrists against her clavicle bones, and forearms against her chest. This is what she always did before entering a body of water. It was like her own little ritual. She leaned back standing straight up once more, grabbing ahold of her hair and quickly putting it back into a pony tail. It was time to begin the training. She stepped forward focusing her chakra down to the sole of her feet. Her right foot planted on the water, not sinking through like it normally would. She slowly shifted her weight to her right leg, until her balance was even. Then she shifted the rest of her weight onto her right foot while taking her left foot off of the edge of the pool. Seconds later all that was heard was a small scream as she fell forward into the water, the foot she was balancing on having trouble controlling the chakra under her with the constant flow of the water. The scream was followed by a splash. She slowly began to descend through the water before swimming back up to the surface. That was a failure, thank goodness she changed into swim wear, because it was a fail.
She placed her hands on the edge of the pool and pushed herself up, sitting on the edge letting her feet dangle. She was smart, and realized the problem. She had great chakra control and focused it to her soles correctly. But the waters constant motion made it more difficult to balance then the solid surface of the tree during the tree climbing exercise. She pulled her feet out of the water and stood up again.

It was time to try again. She placed her right foot onto the surface of the water again focusing her chakra once more. This time she would be ready to move her chakra around according to the motion of the water. She shifted her weight and steped forward with her left foot placing it on the surface. She was balanced constantly shifting her chakra around making it possible to stand. She stood motionless as she began to get used to the movement of her chakra without having to think of it consciously. Now was time for step two of the training, walking. She lifted her left foot off of the water and took a step forward slowly, still getting used to the chakra control underneath her foot. She then took another step and another until finally she was able to walk around the surface of the pool effortlessly.

She grinned being successful again, able to stand and walk around on water. Now she wouldn’t have to worry about falling into the water anymore. She walked over to the edge of the pool and jumped onto the edge and walked into the ladies dressing room again. Coming out a few moments later back in her normal outfit, towel in her hand attempting to dry her long hair that was completely soaked from her fall. She completed her final training exercise, she was excited and quite exhausted from all the chakra movement and use in her intense training. It was time for a well-deserved break. She exited the pool room, walking down the hall of the Shinobi academy.

User Image ~Aya Nara~ Silent Schemer ~

The smart girl was sitting in a classroom of the hidden Leaf, her nose buried in a book of chakra control. Her long hair flowed down her back and almost fell upon the floor, while her brown eyes took in all information that was written on the page. She looked up when her name was called by one of the teachers on duty, calling on her to preform the transformation jutsu. Her first try when she first entered the academy was a complete failure. But as she trained, she got better at it, and soon could have done it perfectly. She looked up at the person who had called upon her, and slowly closed her book. She rose from her seat and began to make her way to the front of the classroom. There was only a few other people in the room, but none of them seemed to be paying attention to the girl walking to the front of the class. Aya stood in front of the proctor and blinked at him. He proceeded to tell her to preform the transformation jutsu for him, as he held up a clip board. He smiled as her, as she smile back. She took a few steps back, and held her hand together to center her chakra. She quickly began forming hand signs, Dog, Boar and finally Tiger. A large white puff of smoke surrounded the young Nara. After a few moments, the teacher trying to get a good look, the smoke cleared to reveal an exact replica of the man standing with a clip board. He nodded his head in approval and began to sketch some things down on his board. Aya took this as her dismissal and began to venture for her desk again. Upon grabbing the book, she decided she should do something else, besides reading, to boost her skill level, even a little bit. She began to venture down the long halls of the academy, before claiming a spot in one of the room that were meant for people to meditate.
