Mephlius was going to say something, but stopped. He sent a message to Tokeru on the HIN, then went to the fridge. "Beer... Vodka... Martini... ANYTHING?" There was no alcohol in the fridge. He closed it, and paced. He sent a quick text message, then went to his new bedroom to go to sleep.

Jasie cooed as Db caressed her face, yet she looked up at him with sad eyes and held his face in her hands. “You can’t promise me that D-- no one can make that kind of promise. Things happen, I’m always going to get hurt, just as you are-- It’ll be ok though. As long as we have each other, everything will be ok” she said sweetly, stroking his cheek lightly and pulled him into an embrace. Jasie saw the concern, the worry, and fear in his eyes, and it was tearing her up inside. She began stroking the back of his head and then his back. She never wanted to let him go, and she planned on doing just that. “You’ll never lose me, D-- never.” she whispered to him soothingly, as she caressed him on the nape of his neck. Never... The word echoed within her, pleading that it would be so. Yet she knew one day she'd lose him, lose him to father time. But she wouldn't think about that now, and every minute and second they spend together, she clings to it, and locks it safely into her heart. Hoping, cherishing and keeping them and him as close as she can, wishing that never, would one day be forever.
Jasie cleared her mind from the bad side, and focused on him, and what he whispered and told her before they came here. “Allies are good you know, even if I am around-- why do you feel as if your floating away… ?” In which she was referring to his previous comment from Central Park, "No more allies, as long as your here, I'm happy with that. Everyone but you seem to just hold me down." "That doesn't mean I can't and won't try to keep that promise and nothing will be ok as long as were targets for the vatican.I don't plan on stopping my hunt for them till every damn peice of them is out of this city.You know as well as I that if the vatican is here nothing is alright.I just wish there was an easier way out then through killing them,that way puts to much at risk."He said sighing as Jasie stroked his cheek and pulled him towards her."I know I won't."He whispered back to her "Allies....all they do is end up getting killed and I end up having to live with it.Theres only one allie I know of and truly trust other then you but last I heard he was blinded..."He trailed off loosing sence off the world around him as Jasie stroked his neck.

Mephlius got the text message, smiled, and headed out. He closed and locked the door behind him, smiling.

Amnity followed him into the apartment, then froze as she looked around. "...Uh....Mephlius...We should leave before the real owner of this place comes back..." She suggested, still stunned.

"The real owner... just arrived." He grinned, pulling out his key. He unlocked the door, opened it, and walked in.

"And may I ask how you acquired such an extravagant living place?" Amnity asked, obviously still in disbelief.

"Long story. Wanna hear it?" Before getting a response, he went ahead and answered. "I was walking through here, to try and find somewhere to sleep after you borrowed my bed at the barracks. I heard a man screaming in pain, and smelled a vampire. I guessed it was a man being attacked. However, it was actually the vampire in pain. Someone had misted the room in holy water, carved a crucifix in the doorknob, and locked him in here. He had been suffering for... well he said it was days. I let him out, and he knew he couldn't live here anymore. He said the memories would torture him or some stuff like that. And he wanted to thank me for saving his life. I told him I would save him the trouble of putting the apartment on the market, and getting me a gift, if he'd just let me have the apartment. He agreed." Mephlius shrugged. "I lucked out."

Amnity began getting jealous. A room holy water misted? A doorknob with a crucifix carved into it? This apartment was a Zealot's dream house! She pouted crossing her arms in frustration. "...It isn't that great..." She was obviously envious, it was visible in her voice.

Mephlius' smile died down some. "What is it?" He already knew what the problem was, but he wanted to hear what she would describe it as.

Kuro began walking up the fire escape of the adjacent building, just as he had the night before. After reaching within a few feet of the apartment, he jumped across, landing delicatly on the window sill once again. He knocked on the window, then waved as he saw Amnity and Mephlius inside.

Amnity was about to reply, but when she heard the knock on the window she immediately spun toward the sound, her revolvers already out and cocked. She put them down with a sigh. "Kuro...." She gave him a sheepish smile, waving back.

Mephlius walked over to the window, and opened it again. "Hold on, Kuro." He walked into the bathroom, and brought in some spare towels. He laid down a little platform for Kuro to stand on without getting burned.

"Thanks, this appartment could be very difficult for me to visit." He stepped on the towels, feeling kinda closterphobic, even though the room was large. "I gotta watch the walls and where I stand." He laughed to himself, knowing this was going to get annoying once he started burning himself from being stuipid.
