Johnny Malone Y Y Z -2112- Hahah..
I really never messed with cheats and mods, I just played the game...
It was so addicting that within the two weeks I was done with all the side-quests, all the shrines and buying all the houses..
But I do remember having nightmares about the Daedra Spiders..
stare
Spiders scare the s**t outta me.. Mods are crazy, I added a whole slew of new weapons (like the weapons from Conan and Ringwraith gear) to the game (with appropriate quests to find them) as well as more hair and eye color styles. (Because more customization is a plus in my book.) Also I hope I am not alone in thinking that the Dark Brotherhood quests are some of the most fun quests in the entire game. (Especially the one where you have to kill all the people at the party without the other guests finding out.) Indeed, I love games that offer customization. It makes me feel like I'm part of the game even more. But that's neat how you added new weapons but created a quest in order to find them.
Ah yes, the Dark Brotherhood quests. No, sir, you are not alone. Those were by far the best quests, but a bit short overall. And some of the tasks were a bit of a bore. I myself found the "Whodunit" quest quite lame. I was able to kill of them within a matter of minutes, even while trying to get them to kill one another.
I for one liked the "Scheduled for Execution" quest, simply because of the high amount of sneak you need to do in order to bypass the guards. But even then, they're a bit of a bore. And if you're not in a need to collect the bonus items, you can just hack and slash your way through.

Yeah the mods for Oblivion are geniuses. Some of the quests they made for their created weapons are difficult as anything. (With no real indication on how to start them in game.) Well worth the effort. (And what was surprising was how balanced the weapons were to the original weapons in the game.
Concerning characters I had two I mainly used. A Nord Warrior type (because for some reason they don't have Dwarves in Oblivion)
and a Wood Elf Assassin/rogue type. (I really like using stealth in computer games. So I got all the extra equipment from the Dark Brotherhood quests. What's the point of being an assassin if your not going to sneak around and kill people from the shadows?)
What about yourself with regards to characters?

Missing nin Itachi I rented Oblivion once, fun game, I tryed to set myself up as a magic user but a week is not enough time for a game like this. It can be if you never sleep and cut off all ties with the real world. wink But in all seriousness yeah your going to need a couple of weeks to a month to get everything out of this game (especially with the exansion out now....which I need to get.)

Ah, that sounds quite intriguing. The replay value of Oblivion is amazing! No matter how many times you play it you can't have the same outcome. But the added weapons seems like a blast, perhaps once I get my Xbox back I'll give that mod a try.
I never cared for the Nords, seeing as how I'm not much into Dwarves. But I will say that the Frost Resistance of a Nord does come in handy for certain quests. The Wood Elf is a fine addition to the game. Perfect for sneaking characters like you've explained. I for one are a lover of stealth, poisons and arrows, if you catch my drift.
As far as my regards with characters, I either played my High Elf or Wood Elf. I favored my High Elf more because I would customize armor and rings with bonuses that added to my stealth skills. So in a sense, it was a bit of cross-training with her.
But my second favorite character was my Wood Elf. Her Sneak skill must have been up to at least 110. And since she was also a Master Alchemist she could whip up some fine poisons. :3

But I had half a mind to pick up the collection box at Target a few weeks ago. It had Oblivions, Shivering Isles and something else.. the name escapes me at the moment.

I pretty much snuck everywhere with my Wood elf to get the Sneak as high as possible. I got mine about as high as yours and it's an amazing feeling to let people see you only if you want them to. Alas the mods only are for the computer version of the game. I haven't seen the mod community work on the 360 version of the game. That's a thing about Bethesda that I love, their support for the modders. The guys at Bethesda love to see people adding new original content to the game and support it.

Knights of the Nine, it was the collection of all the small mods Bethesda made for the game to sell seperatly. (such as the Knights of the Nine guild. horse armor, etc.)

Perhaps I should go pick that up for myself for Christmas...

Veni, Vidi, Dormivi.
Hope everyone's gettin' ready for the hunt. If you're really bored, don't forget the RP if you're part o' it.
I'm mostly off for a while, so any concerns should be brought to my PM box. And Des, flirt elsewhere...

Holy hell! I hate my job for making me go to bed early and missing all these conversations. I might be able to keep up with the conversations a little better when I get transfered to a different department of the plant, but than I'll have to leave for work near that time. Anyway...
I never really got a chance to play Oblivion and didn't really have a computer that I felt comfortable playing it with until now. Currently I'm highly addicted to Call of Duty 4. That pretty much ate up all of my free time last week. If you like FPS's, get this game.

I have to get up at 5:30 as well. By the way I'm about to join Dover for some CoD action. "Headquaters located!" I'll be back in a little bit.
