With the tofu on the table, Pippe quickly floated down to his food, where he took minuscule bites. Asherah on the other hand, broke apart her chopsticks, clamped onto a sashimi slice, and dipped it in a wasabi, shoyu mixture before eating it.
"Yes, he's back." A deep breath, it wasn't often she spilled her guts to people. "You probably don't know that Enki and I were together for a while. We were real happy, and I was finally ready to settle in for the long run. But.. He up and left me..." She paused to take a bite of her roll. "Until about two weeks ago, I hadn't seem him in a little over a year. I didn't know where he left, if he were dead, nothing.. He gave his apologies, and said that he wanted to be with me, but Alexander, I'm with someone. Guaranteed, he's never around, but with Enki saying what he did... I...."
She looked up into Alexander's eyes.
"I need to speak to him."

He looks at her as he listens to her story, Tylas climbing down his arm to the table and curling up, stealing another piece of sushi before climbing back up to nibble on it. Alex takes another piece of the sushi himself before dipping a bit of soy sauce on it and eating it, still listening to her. Part of that story is not all that surprising... but... the part about up and leaving her actually rather is.
"So you still love him and need to see him immediately," he says in a matter-of-fact way.
"He's probably at his home. It's a small island in the Sea of Gambino. There are quick ways to get there spread throughout Gaia, including one here in Latent, but I don't know where the portal is."
He gently sets his chopsticks down on the plate as he looks over at Asherah. "The only other way there is by charter craft during high tide. Larger boats can't get to the island due to a reef that surrounds it."

A faint blush graced her cheeks, one being so blunt always caught her off guard. To hide it, Ash took Pipee's plate and set it on the ground, which would prove smart for later, he followed the tofu. Sitting back up, Asherah took time to eat a few pieces of her roll and seared ahi sashimi.
"When would be the next boat?" She sounded determined. "I mean, seeing as you don't know about the other thingies."
She went back to eating. Something peculiar was happening to Pipee though, to strangers anyway. A thick haze-like cloud surrounded his body as he ate one of his favorite dishes.

Alex watches her place the plate on the ground as the small fluffy thing flits down to continue eating the food on the ground. Alex then cuts the tuna sandwich in half and sets it off to the side of plate before lifting one of the pieces of bread off of it. Tylas once again scurries down his arm and sits next to the plate, dipping a claw into the tuna and bringing it up to his mouth to lick the tuna.
"No boats go there," he says as he pops another piece of sushi into his mouth, "and if the place is anything like what I remember as a kid, I wouldn't recommend hiring a boat to take you there, either."
His eyes glance down as he cocks an eyebrow down to the Pipe Fox and the cloud of whatever surrounding it. He figures it must be normal or the girl would probably be pitching a fit by this point.
"You'd either have to swim, if you're good at that thing, or rent a very small boat yourself." He glances back at her as if somehow testing her as he speaks, "If it's just you and you are telling the truth, you'll be fine."

Asherah blinked a few times.
"I don't know how to drive a boat. Do you even drive boats? I mean," she huffed a bit, "I could use my transformation magic but I don't know my way around the Gambino waters."
Needless to say, Asherah looked genuinely worried. Looking down at Pipee, she waved away the smoke around her friend and smiled weakly. He had been changing into his other form, it happened when he hate a favorite meal. Now, he was a sleek nine-tailed fox, fit with cliche slanted, closed eyes, and red tribal tattoos. He looked up and licked his chops. She set her gaze back onto Alexander.
"And there's no other way?"

Alexander blinks a bit down at the Pipe Fox that has now become a small kitsune, cocking his eyebrow at the slightly odd transformation of the small creature. Tylas, in the time it had taken it to transform, has scurried over to the edge of the table, a bit of tuna on his muzzle as he watches curiously.
Alex then looks back to Asherah and her apparent worry, sighing a bit as he sits back in his chair.
"In the Leviathan Stadium, just north of here, is a room filled with portals to fighting arenas of all different types. Inside this room is a locked door containing a deactivated portal."
Tylas blinks again at the sight of the different creature before scuttling back to the plate to continue eating bits of tuna from the bread. Alexander pulls a small key from his pocket and hands it to Asherah before taking the last bit of sushi, dipping it in soy sauce and eating it.
"Figure out how to turn it on and that'll take you right there."

Asherah took the key and looked at it. The stadium? Reactivating a portal? her eyebrows furrowed slightly. Maybe she was in over her head on this one. Curling her fingers over the item, she placed it in her top for safe keeping.
Pipee was looking up at Tylas, he was done with his tofu now. He wasn't too large of a nine-tail, only about the size of a small Labrador, for now at least. Standing up on his hind legs, she managed to rest his paws on the table, and snatch up the rest of Asherah's rolls. She didn't seem to mind.
"Ahh right," she nodded distantly, "the stadium. I've never been to that room though... Or how to open.. Portals." She bit her lip nervously.

His eyes flit from the kitsune to Asherah as Tylas finishes eating his portion of the tuna, slipping back up Alex's arm to rest on his shoulder as he begins cleaning his claws. Alex purposely does not say anything just yet as he picks up his half of the sandwich and takes a bite, chewing it before swallowing and looking back at Asherah.
"If you care for him so much as to spend two weeks searching out his son whom you've never met or even know what he looks like," he says in a soft tone, his dark, grey, almost soulless looking eyes gazing into hers, "then you'll figure it out. I'll give you a hint: It has something to do with our family name."
With that he takes another large bite of the tuna sandwich, enjoying the flavor of the moist fish, always having enjoyed the distinct flavor of fish from the small Leviathan Sea.

Asherah took notice to the Tylas and absent mindedly giggled. He was a cute little dragonling, she would love to meet him when he was full grown. With a smile, she looked into Alex's eyes and rested her arms on the table.
"Well, that still leaves lots of wiggle room to solve. But I'm sure if I really put my nose to the grind stone, I can make it open. Hopefully."
Finishing the rest of her ahi, Ash sighed and placed her hashi on the plate before picking Pipee's plate and stacking it under the other. Sitting back in the chair awkwardly, she smiled sheepisly, after all, Alexander was his kid. She didn't want to make a crappy impression.

Alexander finishes up his tuna sandwich before popping the last bit of yellow-fin tuna sushi into his mouth. He reaches up with one hand to lightly pet Tylas on the head, the little dragon letting out a little yawn as he does. Alex pulls out a few pieces of gold and pays for their meal before he stands up, bowing slightly to Asherah.
"I think you'll be able to," he says before offering a hand to help her from her seat.
"Is there anything else you'd like to ask me before we part?"

Blotting her mouth with a napkin first, Asherah reached up and took Alexander's hand gingerly, then got herself up. She smiled endearingly.
"Thank you so much Alexander. Please, if you ever need something, don't be afraid to ask. I really owe you one."
Pipee was busy looking up at Tylas, sniffing the air and wagging his tails happily as if to say 'byebye friend'. Asherah bowed her head in thanks meekly before looking back up to him.
"I have a place in Gambino too, but it's a little easier to find than your fathers." She giggled tiredly. "It's a pretty big house, the locals should be able to guide you, if ever need be."

Tylas yawns a little bit before flapping his wings gently at kitsune Pipee, then curls back up.
"Good luck, then, Asherah," he says as he turns and starts heading back down the pier. A few paces down, he turns back and with a soft smile says, "Oh, and tell my dad I said 'Hi,' would you?"
Turning back, he once again begins heading down the pier back toward the beach, pulling out his ocarina from his pocket and begins playing a little sailors shanty as he heads back into town.

A simple smile. Asherah was relieved at last.
"Of course I will," she chirped, "but don't count this as your favor! Heh, Bye Alexander."
Turning on her heel, Asherah headed off in the direction of the nearest hotel. She was pooped, and ahead of her was only a long journey to come.

Rain fell in gentle patters from the sky, gentle grey clouds drifting lazily overhead releasing their cold wet babies seemingly one at a time down onto the city far below. People still walked the street, despite the promise of rain high above them, and many carried umbrella's of various sorts. They moved in clumps, groups travelling from work to bus stops or bars or whatever other things they may be traveling too. Fighters resting before their travel to the stadium moved through the crowd, weapons gone but armor and other various such clothings making it obvious as to their purpose.
Cutting through this crowd, as he always did, was the immense form of Titan, his bright orange flak vest picking him out even better than it would on a smaller individual. Bright florescent strips reflected from his shoulders and chest, though what would miss his immense body is a mystery. Perhaps the blind.
In any event, he seemed quite the tourist currently, a bucket held in his left hand brimming with popcorn that often fell from his right as he scooped it out, munching away cheerly as he examined the buildings, head turning this way and that in his fascination.
" Aye.....these're tall."
He walked with the careless abandon of someone who was new to the area, knocking aside people who stopped for too long in his path, crushing small(and sometimes large) debris under his massive feet, and of course the ever popular walking out into speeding traffic, causing them to swerve or brake hard to avoid smashing into his monolithic form. And all of this, he ignored, so focused was he on the large buildings, the trees, and everything else that was new to him.

Miss_Unsmiley Shyme slid carefully past him and into the sparcely furnished space. It had that slightly musty smell that any place gets when allowed to accumulate a little dust. She looked this way and that taking it in. "Safe house indeed... This sure isn't someone's vacation home." She sat down at a table in what appeared to serve as a dining room space, and wiped her hand across the surface of the table, shifting the dust that had come to settle there. She sighed and looked to him. "Its ahh... cozy. But clearly you haven't been living here. Are you sure its alright for me to be here? I don't understand why we would have to stay in a safe house, and I'm not sure I want to be involved with people who need one! I think its about time you filled me in on what you've been doing for the last four years. Why didn't you ever come back? What are we hiding from? Where do you usually stay?" She had so -so- many questions, and also so many things to tell him. It was hard to decide where to start, and even more difficult to keep from bombarding him. This would have to do. She idly drew things in the remaining dust on the table near her. She found herself quite fidgety when she wasn't certain she would like what she had to hear. At least she was calm and collected this time. Silver waited for Shyme to fully enter before quietly stepping in after her and shutting the door behind them. He then shifted over to lean against the wall as she looked around and made herself comfortable. He was relaxed, like he was accustomed, or at least not surprised, at the state that things were in. He didn't really know if he could still find Mitsuyo here, but it was the best place he could think to look, and either way, he knew they could stay if they needed. " Heh, well, if by vacation home you mean where I spend my time off, then sort of, yeah..." He grinned, hoping to ease her tension. His eyes remained focused on her as she moved and sat, beginning to doodle in the dust on the table. Now that he could see her in the light, he could tell she hadn't changed much. She was as beautiful as ever. Though nervous, she maintained her composure, an air of almost an odd regality about her. Carefree, yet still to the point. All qualities he had always admired about her. For several long moments, he just smiled and stared at her blankly, recalling fond memories of their time back home... Most likely to the point of annoying her. Hadn't she said something? He wasn't paying attention. Silver snapped back to attention, realizing what he was doing. " Oh! Er, uh...!" He pushed himself off the wall rather awkwardly and stumbled over to her, scratching at the back of his head idly. Something he tended to do when he was confused or nervous. " Well, yeah, I don't usually stay here... only when I'm visiting Mitsuyo for info or whatever... I was hoping she'd be here so I could ask her about a missing friend of mine... Of course! It's fine you're here. You're with me, and I'm in real tight with these people. I was supposed to lead them, but Victor kinda shot that to Hell... And that's exactly my point! What I was trying to tell you! You shouldn't be here. It's not safe. But this is the safest place I can think to keep you until I can figure out a way to get you back home... where you should be..." Silver sighed and furrowed his brow in thought. The next few questions were a little more difficult. He fell silent once more. The last four years... Why I didn't come back...His head was flooded with images. His travels alone. Leviathan Stadium. Vahn. Efreet. The Kyonuske. Being trapped in his own mind. Providence. The Heaven or Hell tournaments. Dash. Loss of control of his power. The strange doctor and his creepy compatriot. Constantly chasing Vahn for answers. Victor. Barthavos. For years, it had been one thing after another. And there were still so many questions unanswered. New adventures, new nakama, all binding him to this place. It was true that Shyme was the most important thing in the world to him, but he still had so much to do before he could leave. Would she under stand that? Would she still love him? Finally, he spoke softly, peering up at her from his head hung low, with worried eyes. " It's... a long story. A lot... a lot has happened in four years. I've made strong ties here... I have nakama here I have to help before I can leave. I won't ask you to stay or leave, but please... just forgive me." How dire things were had suddenly dawned Silver. He slowly turned and took a few slow steps toward the living area, leaving his back turned to Shyme. Now several feet away, he just started at the floor in silence. He hadn't uncovered any information at Heaven or Hell. Vahn's location was unknown to him. As far as he knew, Victor was still at large. And the unshakable feeling that someone monitoring his every move. He didn't know where to go or what to do, and he was running out of friends he could turn to. Silver collapsed on the couch, landing on it in a limp heap. He glaced over at Shyme sitting at the table, and a small grin crept back into his face. Despite it all, she was there now, and she had been looking for him, so she must have still cared. He had been a pretty big let down to everyone lately, even to her, but she was still there, and that was enough. He leaned back on the couch, stretching his arms out across it. He let out another sigh as he turned his gaze upward, staring at the ceiling now. Things were going to be alright, he just had to figure out how to get them that way. No big deal, right? " Oh!" He'd almost forgotten the last question. " You mean, like, where do I live? Lotsa different places, no one place for long, really... I guess I'm still a roamer by nature. I've had rooms both here and at the Stadium. During tournament season, they put all us fighters up at the Crimson Hawk, a pretty nice place 'cross town. I travel a lot, too... Actually made it out to Strata in the Barthavos desert recently! ... Somehow..." His voice sort of just trailed off. The details of how he got out to Barthavos and his time spent out there were a little... strange, at best.
