"well I guess it'd probably be best to not bother her then..." Lena said as she glanced over at the girl. After a moment she looked back to Shinji and smiled.

He gave her an amused look. "Perhaps... or maybe it's just your body secretly telling you to get out more." he shrugged again. "Who knows. Personally I'm jsut glad I've benn here almost a whole day and I havne't gotten into trouble yet.... but then agian, saying that, I've probably jinxed myself." and he smiled. "If your worried about it being drunkeness htough, you should probably switch to coffee or something." hes eyes wandered off for a moment to watch another girl beat on the jue box a bit. Urg. temper. Not fun. Then he realized something and turned his attention back to Joy. "I forgot to ask, how old are you? It's just good to know..."

Joy thought about the question, and then shrugged. "I don't know. I've forgotten to keep cout. But I think it's only been a hundred years or so since I'vr brrn born. " bit I have been looking for something that might slow me down to a human's aging speed. If I ever happen to get a friend that I become very close to, I wouldn't want ot outlive them." She said this all matter-of-factly, as though it were normal to outlive someone by hundreds of years.

Quinn gave the girl next to him a goggly eyed look. /A hundred.... OVER a hundred years?!?!..../. He took a moment to clam his brian back down, then made nervous smile to excuse his reaction. "A hundred years is along time. I'm 15, and I'll be happy if I make it to middle age in one piece. A hundred yaers... wow.. well... no wonder you don't have to worry about the school thing... and your deffinetly legal enough to drink that..." he pointed to the sake. "Wow... I guess you've seen a lot then."

Joy shruggged. "Among my people, I'm considered very young. If I aged in human years, I'd probably be about your age now. I'm sure that maybe I could find something that would make me like that. Most drow are..." she struggled to find the right words. "...competitive. I'm sure that they would make something up that would speed up their aging process. It's odd to consider that my adoptive mother was born after me, though..." She looked up at the clock and yawned. "I should probably be leaving." She picked up her sake bottle. "I enjoyed spending time you. Perhaps we could meet again sometime. We can hang out, or something." She began making her way to the door.

He smiled oddly. " Yeha, sure, that soudns great. I shoudl probably try and find my way back to my Aunt's anyway.... however the heck I got here.... Thanks a lot for the company though. Much appreciated." He als ogot up and went towards the door. It was getting late.... and hopefully his Aunt was done with whatever it was she had been doing now. He just wnated to get comfy in his new bed.... and NOT hear the phone ring in the wee hours of the mornign from a pannicked customer thinking they were possesed or something looking for his mother to 'fix the problem'. Yes... that woudl be nice.

Shinji nodded to Lena before sending another glance over his shoulder, his sister not there anymore. He sighed and shook his head before returning his attention to Lena. So! How've you been, sweetheart?

Shinji pondered Lena's words and nodded, feeling that yes, tending to Aiji was a good reason. He smiled after a moment longer and shifted to pull Lena's chin up, leaning in to kiss her softly.

Shinji smiled still against Lena's lips, letting the kiss linger a moment longer before pulling away to look to her. Are you sure you don't want a drink? he asked, sort of laughing.

Shinji laughed again and wrapped his arms around Lena again, kissing her forhead as he sighed contently. So...what would you like to do tonight, love?
