Speaking of webcomics, I also like
A Softer World and
Haru Sari, though the later is weirdly paced and a bit confusing IMO. And one of my first was
Irregular Webcomic.
Des: yeah, it's both confusing and a bit boring in the beginning of Girl Genius, but it gets totally awesome after that. I mean, like, literal LOL scenes and literal 'ZOMG TEH DRAMA' scenes. Of course, Girl Genius being the kind of thing I'm into really helped. It's a very original story with an amazingly detailed world.
Tak: Comics are a wonderful medium, though often undermined by the 'it's for kids' mentality, similar to animation. Webcomics in particular are surprisingly popular--though maybe not surprisingly, seeing as a huge demographic of the interwebz is people who are into that sort of thing. I'm not saying you're teh suxors for not reading, but it's an interesting form of storytelling I find is well worth the nerd label it gives me. >3> (Though I don't get why saying 'I like comics' automatically means I'm a geek.)
