I think someone ^^^ is overreacting a wee bit.
Kill points are handled by allowing the Guard player to merge the squads of his platoon into whatever he likes. So it doesn't have to be a blob of 50 men, it could also be split into two blobs, one 30 strong and the other 20 strong. Each formation is one kill point, plus another for the platoon command squad, which cannot be added to the blob. Besides, mobbing your squads up isn't all sunshine and smiles. The blob has to stay like that for the entire game, which can make objective holding nastier for the enemy, but the blob is also more vulnerable to blast and templates. One charge is all it takes to wipe out the unit in the end.
Storm troopers can choose from one of the three missions. They don't get all three, they must choose one. Plus they are 16 points per model now, which is a LOT for a T3 model.
Tank-wise the tanks have become more expensive by at least ten points, however when buying a squadron they adhere to the squadron rules. So immobilized = destroyed when moving the rest of the squadron. Plus tanks are made of cardboard in this edition, so if those tanks bother you charge them with power fists or melta bombs.
Marines don't cry, so stobbit! mad

Lady Blodwynn Mat Well I named my commanders after myself and my son Be sure to give your lad a Baneblade one day, he needs to be safe out there. 3nodding When I get the new Plastic command squad the officer will be modeled to be me and then I think for my son ill make him in a hat so he can be swapped out for various games. Of course there will be multiple versions of each probably.

Lady Blodwynn So immobilized = destroyed when moving the rest of the squadron To make this correct, any immobile results are destroyed even if they don't move for the gain of free "extra armour" effects as long as it is a squadron. About the killpoints, not long ago people complained about guards and killpoints... And now with changes... PEOPLE STILL COMPLAIN! I find it rather ironic, don't you guys? xDDD

Cardboard tanks? huh? With destroyed result upped to 5+ sometimes I can't kill a Leman R. shooting all-LC devastators whole game. OTOH Termies seem to really tear thru any tanks save Land Raider courtesy of always rear armor in hth rule. Problem usually is getting them upfield, with all the plasma heading their way. And shifting guard in hth comes harder when they are stubborn and have reroll for standard nearby. Stormtroopers seem like shooty version of Banshees now to me. And that means serious power armor killers. Well, Marines dont cry but can grit teeth/growl with frustration some, ne?

In any case no solution is the best, the current proposal found in the upcoming codex goes some way to fix things (command squads are no longer two KP's) but it is far from ideal. I don't really see what the big fuss is about, not all missions use KP's.. Who knows, KP's might be thrown out with the 6th edition in a few years. xp

All this whining and crying really if I saw this from the side of the Marine I would recognize that the Guard will be a worthy challenger and I should prepare to meet them as such. Instead of crying about how much you think you will get owned (with as much crying as you do im suprised you not used to it) figure out a way not too.
