Ah, snowblowers and plows...
Shoveling snow is good excersize though. I used to shovel snow and then go inside for a hot cup of coffee/hot chocolate/cider/soup. I'd take off my wet clothes and bundle up in comforters in front of the TV.

Miriam The Bat Omega, have you ever been to the Buffalo/Niagara area air force base? My dad was a master seargent there in the transportation department, but he just retired this December. :shakes head: Nye, I wasn't interested in the Air Force when I was with that girl. Afterwards, I thought about it alot. I had a growing urge to leave my home in Florida, and thankfully I got the job I wanted. I just didn't get the assignment I wanted. Combat Comm is Awesome! Thats awesome that your dad is a Master Seargent. How many years has he been in? After 20, hey make 50% of their salary from the government for staying in that long for retirement pay. ^_^ Every year after that is I think 1% more.

I think he was there for 20 years. He hated his job with a passion and wanted to retire as soon as possible.
When he first joined the airforce, his job was building and repairing ejection seats, and he loved it. But then the Niagara base got rid of their fighter planes, and dad got promoted to a desk job in transportation. He had a horrible, horrible a*****e of a boss who was determined to make my dad as miserable as possible. He was always putting my dad down and telling him he sucked at his job. His boss wanted dad to quit so he could be replaced with someone else.
When my dad finally retired, he totally dissed his boss by not going to his retiree ceremony. He quickly collected all of his things and deleted all of the programs he wrote for his job on the computer, and left no instructions for the person replacing him. He then took off the rest of the month by using up his sick days.
The day after he left, his boss called several times in panic, insisting that my dad go to work and train his replacement, because everyone was totally clueless. My dad ignored him smile

Snow? In Middle Tennessee? Hah.
Maybe it's just Nashville, but we'll go for years without real snow.
