The firing came from the Brutes tribe. One of the six major "teams" in the JUNKYARD program. They were part of the AIs that were created to use for the Brimstone Hunters.
There were five brutes, all in gray and blue camo, they looked to be like a bunch of military marines. Battle hardened marines.

"Not again with the Brutes!" The red head came into view of one of the first and he threw the disk as the razers extended instantly. For being an AI that was to entertain the Slayers, he was tactic wise too.

The Brutes turned their attention at the current threat. They opened fire at the red head and his flying disk of death.

The red head smirked and jumped into the air and a dj spin disk appeared in front of him and spinning it, the bullets were redirected back at the brutes, "Think you can take me?!" he laughed.
"Don't get too over your head Akaito!" Called the blunette.
"Blah, blah!" Akaito rolled his eyes.

"BUFUDYNE!"
The spin disk was frozen from that. Very few of the AIs in the JUNKYARD were able to cast spells. Usually it was just the leaders or the others with tattoos.

"This can't be good" the red head landed and looked around. A leader? This close? What was going on!? "The leaders never get this close!"
Kaito was also looking around in a panic. Where was the Leader? If there was one near, they all had to hurry to shealter!
"Leaders?" Ethan frowned "what are they?"
"Sonia, have an explanation for us?" Kite asked.

There are six tribes in the Junkyard. Each of them have their own leaders which are the strongest of the tribe. Unlike most of the other tribe members, Leaders are able to cast magic at will.
The laws of the Junkyard are:
When a Leader is slain, the tribe which had slain the leader will gain the numbers of the losing tribe.
Leaders are irreplacable, so there is no second in command with the Leader is dead.
In order to reach the war-less paradise, the strongest tribe must defeat the others and enter the tower for the final test.
That is all I know. . . But, those closest to the Leaders in strength are also spell casters.

Akaito was now manned with his guitar, alert as hell on where the damned leader was. He and Kaito were never part of any tribe, they were singers, not fighters. . . well at least one wasn't. For the time being the brutes looked preoccupied with Akaito and so Kaito made his way over to the shield with a shaken up Rain who was soon also in the shield along with Kaito.
"So who are you?" Ryukio asked.
"My name is Kaito, Vocaloid Type BLUE. That is my brother unit Akaito Type RED. We were AIs created to entertain Music loving Slayers. Our idea was trashed and we wound up here."
"Are there anymore of you?"
A pause, "N-no no, Akaito and I are the remaining units. Our group was wiped out by the brutes when we got here, Akaito and I were the only two to escape. Akaito then modified his music instruments into weapons for such cases as this. he said he wasn't going to let music die in the Junkyard. It's our home now." Kaito said.
"How many were there?" Ethan asked.
"Quite a few actually" He admitted."
"I see" he gave a nod.

Akaito quickly made it out of there before the brutes noticed that any of them were even gone. Azure Kite used the zero-shift ability he learned on the shield after Akaito got in and safely got them away, with that, they headed north of their location to find the Wolves tribe.
"So, musicians for the Slayers you say?" Ethan looked at the two vocaloids.
"Yes, that's right" Kaito said.
"It's true" Akaito gave a nod, "But what does that have to do with anything?"
"Just asking"
"Do you sing your own songs?"
"Yes, we don't like singing other peoples songs unless programed to do so" Akaito answered lazily, "And I don't feel like singing so don't ask me"

At a start, the Wolves tribe had their weaponary trained on the group. They weren't going to attack. . . Unless something happened.
Wait. . . The water formed and there was a teenage girl in place. This was Sonia's AI form. "Let us speak to Lupa. They mean no harm."

Akaito looked around and then looked at Sonia they saw her before. . . but where? Akaito made a slow movement to fold his arms as not to alert the tribe and he tapped his chin. . . . where did they see her? This AI?
Kaito could tell Akaito was deep in thought he only tapped his foot to a nameless beat when thinking and tapped his chin. Soon he had his eyes closed, as if trying hard to remember something forgotten. Kaito left him be and decided to look over at Sonia.

The gates opened and a man accompanied by two armed soliders of his tribe came out. "Lupa. . . These are the allies I have told you about. They are looking for two others lost in the Junkyard." Sonia started."Speak no more, Pillar." Lupa spoke, "They are welcomed by the Wolves as allies." She bowed, "Thank you. Please take care of them." She then disappered as water.Lupa looked at the group, "Come, you must be tired from the attack of the Brutes Tribe."

Akaito said nothing and his eyes were closed he was still thinking
The others thanked them as well, rest would be nice.

The other members of the tribe were respectable. The only odd thing was that majority had gray eyes. The few that had color in their eyes had a black tattoo on their body.
Lupa lead the group to their quaters, "If you need anything. . . Ask." He left after that.
