Suzume had to slow to a jog as she crossed the starting line. halfway done. she told herself. She pulled out from her pocket a little blue ball. She put it in her mouth and bit it. Refreshing water gushed into her mouth as she swallowed, and realised how dry her throat had been getting. She slowed to a speed walk and stretched her arms a little. She pulled her hair up into a ponytail for it was getting annoying - swishing in her face and all. After a few moments she sped up to a jog with new found energy then back to a run.

She passed the starting line without even slowing down, she still had some energy left from her earlier walk. She quietened her breathing and began to listen to the beating of her heart. With every step she counted a heart beat. She tried to calm down...now every step and a half was a beat - still too fast. She looked up at the sky and saw two sparrows flying by and she smiled at them. She saw the starting line ahed of her, that had gone fast. Only a few more now.

As she crossed the starting line she slowed slightly to a jog. Her heart was beating too fast and her breathing was too loud. She focused on calming down as she jogged the lap. 'I wonder where Gihen is?' she though to herself, She checked over her shoulder but didn't see him. She stretched her arms as she jogged the rest of the lap.

Suzume past the starting line and slowed her jog even more. she found herself thinking of ways she could improve on her skills. She kept a steady jog as she began to think up training drills she could do. She stepped hard on a patch of light dirt and it left a trail of dusty smoke behind her. 'woops. hope Gihen dosen't run trhough that...' she though as she jogged yet another lap.

Suzume sped up as she passed the starting line and began to run. She saw the shadow of an eagle flying high up ahead. She sped up till she was directly under the shadow and smilled as she stretched out her arms, running in time with the eagle. She then sped up and past the eagle and continued on to finish the lap at a run.

Suzume slowed down to a jog as she continued on her twenty lap run. 'sensei sure does want us fit if were not skilled' she though to herself then smiled. he said he'b be watching them...she wondered what he ment by that? She gave a quick glance around and couldn't spot him. The though the occured to her that perharps he was in the forest...then she decided she'd rather not think about the forest anymore than was necessary and continued with her laps, seeing the starting line not far ahead of her.

Suzume passed the starting line just as her toe went slightly too far forward and she started to trip 'damn..!' she put her hands forward and went into a walk over. Great, now her hands were all dirty and her back felt stiff. She continued on at a light jog trying to get the dirt off her hands. It would bug her if she reached up to scratch her eye and got dirt all over her face. When she was pretty sure she had got all the dirt off she sped up to a heavier jog, continuing around the village. 'I wonder where the other students are..?'

She had suddenly realised she had verry few laps left! She sped up to get them done with faster, concentrating on her footing, she didn't want to trip again. She could now feel another cramp comming on but she didn't want to slow down, so she kept a steady pace as she went on, breathing a little hard. 'calm it, calm it..' she thought as she tried to make her breathing quieter. 'Where is everyone?!' she thought 'I hope this wasn't just Sensei's joke and no one actually had to run..?' but then she rembered Gihen running earlier. 'I wonder if he's done yet? He was so good at that test, urgh...!' She was angry with herself for having failed. She sped up ignoring her growing cramp and rushing on, rounding the forest again.

Suzume's cramp was seriously growing to annoy her. 'damn, damn, damn!' she though coldly to herself as she went on. She refrained from clutching at her side. She was almost done, just a few more laps...she could do it...'go, go, go!' Her feet were seriously starting to feel like lead. Every step seemed to take an enourmous efort for Suzume.
"I'm...almost...there..." she panted as she went on
then she smiled to herself and calmed her breathing, bent her head forwards slightly and said steadily,
"I can do this." she then raised her head and ran on, seeing the starting line not far ahead.

'my nineteenth lap, i'm so close!' She slowed to a walk for a few moments, passing by the forest. Her nerves were telling her to speed up ang get away from it but she forced herself to keep a steady pace as she went by it, slow enough to hear rustling leaves in the darkness of it's depths....As soon as she passed it however, she sped up to top speed and zoomed around the village, her feet seeming to fly over the ground as her last bit of energy burst into her, she past the starting line....

Suzume continued on. her heart was racing, her breathing was loud, her feet hurt like heck, she had an enormous cramp, her hair was falling from her pony tail and sticking to her forhead and going in front of her eyes, but she ran blindly on. Each step seemed to take fifteen minutes, but she was zooming past trees and houses as she ran as fast as she could around the town. She saw far, far ahead of her the finish line. Every step seemed to take forever, her heart was aching along with her feet and her sides. She was gasping for air, the hair tie slipped completely out and her hair flew around her back behind her as she went on. Twenty meters...fifteen...ten...five...! On the last step she let out, with her remaining air from all her gasping "WOOHOO!" she then collapsed forward into the dust. She had done it, without stopping once. 20 laps. She was satisfied with herself but not proud.
"As soon as I'm done recooping I'm going into the forest to train." she told herself. She popped another blue ball into her mouth as she slowly drew herself up to a sitting position. She ran a hand through her hair smiling to herself. She calmed her breathing, and slowed her heart but she continued to sit there, she was feeling verry drained. She coughed again as she stood up and moved to the side of the start line. where she plopped down on the grass. 'I'm done.'

Vincent walked to the entrance of the Konoha Village, he watched as a female Student finished her laps. She's fast, he thought watching the puppeteer run for a moment. He then walked to the log where the two Student's started and started to run along the edge of the Village about two feet away from the walls. He had a fine endurence so the first lap wouldn't be to hard for him. His arms fall limp beside him. He glanced over at the forest then looked back at his trail.

As Vincent passed the log again he noiticed the foot-prints of his classmates. He diden't stop running as he passed the first wall and started on the second. He started to breah heavily but diden't stop. After the second wall was passed he had to push up his sunglasses because they were slipping to the tip of his nose. Small sweat drops started to form on his face and arms.

She noticed Vincent was running, she smiled as she saw him dart by.
'go on, you can do it.' she though as she sat on the grass watching him run.

Gihen sighed as he began to sprint from the starting point. His hands were behind him, trailing his path. He always wanted to try something with a wall, so why not now? He sprinted faster and inched closer to the wall. As he neared it, he glanced at it every couple of seconds, waiting for the right moment. His head snapped up as he kicked off of the ground and landed on the side of the wall. Surprisingly, because of his speed, Gihen managed to stick onto the wall and run for a couple of seconds before losing his balance and hoppin off of it.
'Damn...I can't wait till' I get used to controlling my chakra! Sticking to stuff will be fun!' he thought.
As he continued to sprint, he noticed Vincent come from the Academy. He was glad people were finally coming. He was getting a little bored with noone around there.
