Inquisitor Brock Oh god, Helghans would be wonderful. By far one of my favorite enemy forces of any game. I like them way more than the ISA. I'm not entirely sure how you'd model them though. Steel battalion? Steel legion mask and cadian trooper uniform sounds like a good idea. :p
Building a army list againts my friends Tau army / maybe for a local shops tournament. Only heard the rules to be 1k points and no special character army. What do you guys think?http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v382/Asmondai/armylist.jpg

Asmondai, seems nice list... rush forward and grip them by the belt smile once in close combat youre set. That dread should keep him busy until your marines start breaking Tau bones razz

Your army is rather light on the anti-tank weaponry. Actually, it seems to be severely lacking in that department.

Hmmm... last time I used a melta weapon (other then bomb) was..........Rolling tumble-weed passes by.....don´t remember when it was, but I do remember having, perhaps historically, a player with a worst hit-rate with melta weapons. So would I spend a points on a meltagun, that mostlikely doesn´t hit nor wound anything in entire game; or take plasmagun with which I kill models like a scythes againts grass? ITAKEPLAMAGUNTHANKYOU! :3Lt. Brookman Or better yet, maybe a power fist or some melta bombs. I should have a few PF-models, but they cost abit more to count the armylist much betterly then SM codex. I would have to either ditch the assault squad and get something else very cheaply that get´s easily gunned down or de-size my tac squad to 5men unit, which I doubt to even throw a punch at anything.
....I don´t suppose you guys are aware that Grenade´s are already included on the squads wargear list AND since in the modern rule book states that all hits againts vehicles with NO WS-value in close combats ALWAYS counts as being hit againts rear-armour, so a 10 men Krag throwers should be more then a match againts any tank that dare´s to come too close to them with relatively weak rear-armour. 3nodding

yep, marine is born now with frag grenade in one hand and krak in another - unless he wears termie armor razz together with rear armor attacking rule, anything but land raider/monolith is going to be in severe danger when assaulted by full sized tac squad...

GW has been showing off the Ironclad dreadnought over at the Baltimore GT. Seismic hammer with meltagun It is a multipart kit that comes with all options listed in the codex, including the Hurricane bolter and chain axe.

*wipes away a tear*
So beautiful. A plan I was trying to push past my friends for Adepticon this past year:
Run the list as an Iron Hands successor. Every list includes at least one Dreadnought, though the plan was to include three Ironclads in a single list and use them in a Drop Pod Assault, equipping them with Hurricane Bolters. As far as I'm concerned, that would have been terrifying.

That dread is an ugly melonfether, too top heavy, the seismic hammer looks more like a siege drill, the HK missiles look stupid that high up and the addition of the banner kinda makes it look less like a siege weapon that spearheads assaults on enemy fortifications.

Not bulky? It have extra thick zoggin' plates on it!
Why don't you complain that Predators don't look Av 13 while we're on it? I mean, it's the same frame as a Rhino... XD
I like it, and I look forward to smash it with my proppa orks as well as fielding one with my comming planetstrike project~ >:3

Well, you could always go with something ridiculously cool and model an old Dreadnought arm to instead have a giant hydraulic Thunder Hammer.
