Xiaedessa stepped into the classroom, with the headmistress behind her "Hydro, we need your to come with us immediately" She looked over toward the students "Okako, Bethie, you two need to come with us as well" Annabeth sent a puzzled expression "Aunt Dee, like what is going on? Does it have to do with that wyvern I just saw out the window?" Hildegarde shook her head firmly "Just do as you're told" Annabeth groaned, but stuffed her History book into her booksack, grabbed her purse and got up. She sent Marcus a pleading look before heading over to the door.

"Inside, inside." Shizue said, usherign the remaining students inside the gym. "I'll explain why a flying creature like a Wyvern or Elder Dragon can migrate and why predators hunt where it's safe, namely inside." She said sarcastically at the asinine question. "Just to correct the record, just not that particular wyvern. They're difficult to deal with as they constantly shift their attacks to the seemingly weakest prey item. Speaking of which..." She looked at Ashley. "You're lucky kid. I've heard stories about those things. That attack can kill with the blast of air from the concussion wave and shrapnel from it's tail hitting the ground. A foot closer and you'd have been added to that feast. Two truly master hunters from the next town over on their Guild Elite registration test were killed by one of those. I wasn't even close to them. So I don't deserve to be called a master Hunter.Just so you know, the Guild Elite are the strongest of the Hunters. They usually are the ones who become Guild Elders and run the island."
Okako nodded and followed until they were out of class. "What do you guys want with us?" She asked, puzzled. She hadn't done anything to warrant getting into trouble.

Hildegarde spoke as she led the way "Shizue Shioni is your godmother, right? She was in the middle of a class exercise outside when a particularly vicious wyvern attacked the school. A student was killed, and many have been injured. Ashley Towers was among the students in that class." Annabeth gasped "My brother!? Ohmygod!" "I can still sense his aura, he is at least live" The medics had already arrived as they entered the gymnasium. Xiaedessa ran over to Ashley and embraced him "Are you alright dear!?" Hildegarde appraoched Shizue with a serious face "I contacted Elliott, he's sending in a restore crew to take care of the damages. Will it come back, you think?"

"Maybe. Probably in fact. Most wyvern stake a claim of territory and the hunt within that territory. They tend to sweep areas within the territory for easy prey. They patrol. Now, from the reports from the Guild Elders who do the ecological studies, Naruga frequents some of the area in it's territory and leaves others completely alone. It's coloring and ambush tactics are indicative of a nocturnal predator and as such, it coming out during the day would probably lead me to believe that it's had a brood and it's hunting to feed them. It's attack pattern also showed an unwillingness to get injured, which is all too uncommon according to the Elders. It will probably come back, but now that we know it's here we can take actions to prevent another incident. For instance loud things like the bells, should be stopped as loud noises enrage Narugas. It was clearly enraged as indicated by the eye glow." Shizue thought for a second knowing they would probably try to get her to hunt it down. "Seeing as how it's probably got a brood to take care of, I will not hunt it. Wyvern are uncommon, even on our island before the barrier was removed. To kill one because it attacked and killed a boy would be a travesty. Back home, before even considering sending in a Hunter, the wyvern has to prove itself to be a real menace. That means it's slaughtered the livestock of an entire village killed the farmers. Raiding all supply transports in it's territory. If it comes to that, I'll find it's young, capture it, and personally relocate them. But I will not kill it because it was predating. It goers against a Hunter's oath. Also, I'll call the elder this evening and council with him."

Hildegarde nodded "Yes, Relocation would be best, I can have Elliott look into it." Xiaedessa nodded "Yes, human life is of no more value than the creatures of nature. It would be a sin to think otherwise. I think we shou....." She suddenly dropped to her knees, and began grunting in pain, clutching her head. "Ah......no......dark....fire.......falling apart......Kyosuke!?" She screamed, then passed out

The twins let out a heavy sigh, of both relief and disappointment. With no immediate threat in the area, Kai left his sister to return to class, while Aya got together with her squad once more.

"Uh... Okay then... I guess I should be getting back to class then." Shizue said after she watched Xiaedessa go down. She started walking away, stopped and turned back, "Does she do that a lot? She could have really really low blood pressure if she does." Okako cut in as Shizue went back to her class. "So why exactly am I here? I'm not her guardian."

Hydro was still uneasy about the situation and the judgement of the others, but didnt question it. Instead, he headed for his suit case that was in the classroom and rushed to the nearest bathroom. "Screw this suit, its time to change back into my armor even if the boss doesn't like it." He quickly changed from his suit into his battle armor.

Ashley lifted Xiaedessa into a sitting position and pulled a bottle of smelling salts from her vest pocket. "Mother said that she gets some kind of visions that make her weak. She had one last month, that was the reason that my sister and I were enrolled into this academy. I don't know about the vision, but she will be alright." He helped his aunt up as she awoke Lumineria grunted irritably "Good, fall back into formation then, nerd boy" She turned to the headmistress "If you are done interrupting our training session, then take your little soothsayer and get her out of our way, please." Marcus popped out from around the corner as Annabeth and Okako emerged into the breezeway from the gym. "Hey, you wanna ditch the rest of class? The teacher came back for a second, grabbed his briefcase and bolted. Besides, we have to head to Geometry in ten minutes"

Xiaedessa was a bit wobbly, but she quickly regained her composure "Sorry, that's never happened before. I had a vision, but it was as if something was tampering with it. I saw glimpses of destruction and flames, death and blood, and then, I remember seeing Kyosuke, then my head felt like it exploded." She turned to the Headmistress "I am fine now, we should get back to the office and work on the issues at hand" She put the vision out of her mind as she headed back to the office. She didn't like to think about the past, especially what happened in Chaos. Six years ago, she, Koori and Hildegarde had barely managed to kill Kyosuke when he attempted to use the Chaos Gate to bring about the Silver End. Even though she had no choice at the time, to this day she felt as if she had committed an unforgivable act; she had always considered him to be a friend. Annabeth shook her head, motioning toward Okako "Like, totally rad idea, but she would like, totally rat us out."

"You think I care if you idiots skip? It'd be quieter without you and filled with less retarded questions." Okao commented as she walked back to class.
Shizue walked up to the students who were formed up in their squads. "I don't think it's appropriate but I want to say it anyway. I told you so. Someone died. On the first day no less. This is why you all need to take your life and your comrades lives seriously. If they die, chances are you could and probably will too. Today we almost had three casualties because they didn't follow the specific instructions of their instructors to get to safety. Safety, as in a place where the wyvern could not easily access. That means inside a building. I've seen them in caves, volcanic caves, on towers and a couple dragons in towns, but never once have I seen one attempt to follow a fleeing prey item into a place they could not easily follow. It requires too much energy. A predator relies on keeping the hunt short and sweet. We saw it today. It went after the most vulnerable targets. The easiest to access targets. Basically the ones that were outside." She placed her hand over her face. "Are any of you warriors?" She asked. "No. You're not. None of you have even been through a trial of fire. Aside from this, none of you have faced death and none of you have stood to fight it and fought to the death with your foe. Being a warrior isn't about training twenty four seven, or having a chiseled body. Or even about having a bunch of flashy moves that can easily be stopped by a wild animal. It's about death. It's about killing. It's about surviving to kill. And it's finally about dying. As such a warrior must realize that they can be struck down just like anyone else. Because a warrior knows his mortality, he hide his fear to propagate his foe's, plans for bad situations ahead of time, and use his minds and instincts to his advantage. After 100 push ups and five minutes in doing Chinese style punching drills in the weights, we'll call it a day and you can get changed and go to your next class."

As class ended, Stephanie approached Shizue "Nobody will learn anything if they die, or if they are doing it solely to pass a stupid class. If you keep being such a b***h to everyone, they are just going to follow your directions spitefully so they don't have to deal with your punishments, not for the sake of learning to protect themselves or those they hold close. If you don't like it, then fail me, I'm not in this class for a stupid grade. She turned and began to walk away, then stopped and looked back at Shizue "If I find out you planned that attack to prove a point, I'll kill you. She turned and walked out of the gymnasium, and headed to her next class, Mathematics.
Annabeth giggled snidely as Okako left "She's such a geek! Let's, like, go back to class just to piss her off!"

"How dare you talk to Shizue like that! Get back here, you little s**t!"
Ashley walked up to Aya as they left the gymnasium, with his hands in his pockets "Um......you're the girl from this morning, right? I, uh, um, I'm...I'm sorry for earlier, I've never done anything that strenuous before"
Marcus chuckled "Great minds think alike!" They continued making fun of the girl until they got back to class. He went straight to his desk and returned to his former position, but this time, he was leaning his butt in Okako's direction, with the pants pulled down revealing his jockstrap. "Oh, Okako, my love! I want you to bury your freshly-shaven face into my smooth delicious derriere!"

Aya smiled at Ashley. "Don't worry about it." She waived a hand theatrically. "We all have to begin somewhere."
---
Kai, having enough of Marcus' attitude, stood up from his seat and walked over to him. "Cut it out, you're as annoying as an earth bound spirit. If you can't be bothered to do something productive with your time, I'll gladly toss you out of here myself." Being harassed by himself was one thing, but watching another be harassed was crossing the line for him.

"C''mon, brea....huh?" Annabeth shrieked as she realized she was in front of Kai, in a battle stance, Icebolt in her left hand. She backed away, slightly freaked "Um, so sorry, I, like, don't know what just happened, I thought you two were going to start fighting, you had like, this wierd glow coming off of you. And where did Icebolt come from? Damnit, mom's, like, gonna kill me when she finds out it's not in it's shrine!"
