Today was Sascha first day of preschool. I can't believe she's that old already. gonk Everything went great with school. She was so excited. I surprized myself, and didn't cry. Actually I was excited too. Now the only thing to worry about is that I'm snack lady on thursday, and not sure what to bring. wink

Glad to hear her first day went well! heart
Snack lady sounds like fun! Although do any of the kids have nut allergies in the class?
I call two calls today saying Logan got hurt. I swear, he's going for the record of the most accident reports at school. xd

lunashock I call two calls today saying Logan got hurt. I swear, he's going for the record of the most accident reports at school. xd This is just crazy. I feel so sad that preschools have to do this. I mean sure make the accident reports just to CYA, but call the parents too. I think most kids hurt themselves, especially when you add MORE kids into the equation. I think as long as there aren't big huge bruises and your kid isn't like afraid of the teacher there's no reason AT ALL to think that something nefarious is going down. I even understand and tolerate the idea that other little kids will hurt my kid intentionally BUT there's a punishment system in place for that of course.

I even understand and tolerate the idea that other little kids will hurt my kid intentionally BUT there's a punishment system in place for that of course. Oh I know what you mean. It's worse than that. He has to have "body checks" on entering the school and leaving the school. Then, we have to have our ID everytime we enter. It just seems mind boggling that it's gotten to that point. And it's always for little NORMAL things he's been getting hurt. He scraps his knee and falling down, although this kid hit him in the eye yesterday, but just talking to Logan, they took care of the issue (timeout for the kid, making them say sorry). It's weird too that they give me a copy of the accident report like I'm going to sue or something. I feel really comfortable with the school and I KNOW that if something horrible were to be going down, Logan's pretty vocal, but I guess it's the whole CYA thing.

Hello everyone. ^-^ How is everyone today?
I'm somewhat confused. What does CYA mean?

whee Cover Your Ass.
Ange, I think it's sorta the same as why they won't let you tape your child's birth in DoD hospitals: they are afraid of being sued. But then again, in a society that sued McDonalds because OMIGOD, COFFEE IS HOT!!1!, I can't say I blame them. It really disgusts me how sue-happy people are. It's one thing if there was a major mishap, but totally different when it's over something stupid and petty like that.
mrgreen Hello, Silver. Doing fine, how about yourself?

mrgreen Hello, Silver. Doing fine, how about yourself? See now I know. I totally agree with you on the sue happy thing. It's like instead of trying to win the lottery people look for things they can sue over. I just shake my head at it more often than not. And down here (texas) you can't watch 20 minutes of tv without seeing at least five commercials for lawyers. I don't think they should be allowed to advertise, just increases(sp?) the sue-happiness of america. >_< *notices she is on her soap box*... *hops off* Ok I think I'm done with that. ^-^ I was quite busy yesterday cleaning and playing with Nichole. She just figured out that the fuzzy pink bear tickles if she rubs her face against it. It's cute because she laughs up a storm, then moves the bear away to look at it like "why did you tickle me?". And that is an ADOREABLE photo in your sig.

kmaritza Nopen, your siggy art is great! Sorry I missed you saying this! Thanks! I tried out something new with the coloring. *Makes Painter IX do my biddin'* xd ALSO In other news I LOVE Children's Pepto because she can have up to three a day. (Lissa has issues with GERD etc. is why I got them) BUT if she's not sick they're like calcium supplements. So since I have a hypochondriac on my hands (remember though she frequently has issues with her stomach) I can give her these when she is screaming and insisting she's sick. I tell her she can only have three a day. XD
