Earendil looked up at Lin, then stood up and put one hand on her shoulder. "Would you like me to go with you?" he asked her softly, his expression concerned.

Andarien looked up at his parents as he placed another block. His face was expressionless, but his eyes were thoughtful.

"I would like that," Lin rubbed the back of her head sheepishly, "This really isn't my strong point. I maybe like my mother but only enough to temper my father's side of things."

She still didn't know how she was going to help in this situation.

Earendil squeezed her shoulder gently. "Whenever you'd like to go, then."

Andarien sat up a bit straighter. "Are we going to go out again?" he asked eagerly.

Earendil looked at Lin. It was true, Andarien probably should get outside again - fresh air, exercise, getting used to being around people - it would be good for him. On the other hand, should he be there when they talked to Iorlas? It would be one thing if they could speak to her in another language, but he didn't know if she knew any languages other than Common Elvish.

Of course he was forgetting the fact that she was a dragon, and that dragons were the masters of languages.

Of course Lin didn't know the dragons were the masters of languages (even though in Gaia the Eastern Dragon was very wise).

"Yes, maybe we'll see how Miyuki and the others are doing,"
Lin offered.

She hated to poke in on Miyuki's fun but she hoped that maybe Miyuki would watch her brother.

Andarien's eyes lit up brightly. "Mi!" he exclaimed, clambering to his feet.

Earendil chuckled softly. "Off we go then! Do we need anything?"

Andarien picked up his bag and started packing his blocks. "For building!" he grinned.

Lin chuckled, "You really like those blocks don't you?"

It was a good thing that they had gotten them for Andarien, normally Lin didn't play with her toys too much but it seemed like he was going to get good use out of his.

Andarien beamed at her. "Yes!" he exclaimed. "I can build lots with them!"

Earendil chuckled and helped him to pack them up. "All right then, off we go," he grinned once they'd all been put into the bag. "I'll carry it for now, all right? It's still heavy for you to carry all the way by yourself."

Andarien didn't like that. "But I want to carry them," he protested.

"Only if I carry you," his father replied simply.

The boy thought for a moment, then nodded. "Kay."

He picked up the bag, and Earendil picked up Andarien, and then they were ready to go.

Lin led the way, she heard where the children were going and they had spotted Amarliahc playing earlier and she assumed he (along with the girls) was still there.

"I'm glad you like those blocks," she grinned at Andarien.

Though it made her think of what other building tools he might like as well once they got back to Gaia.

Andarien grinned back at Lin. "They're fun!" he told her cheerfully. "I can make things with them! And make them diff'rent ev'ry time!"

Earendil chuckled, following along after Lin. "There they are," he said, pointing ahead at the open park area where the children were still playing, River, Miyuki and Amalirahc among them. Leyenda and Kelirahc were watching from the sidelines, and it seemed Halmir and Arthael had left the children under their supervision and gone off somewhere themselves.

Instead of playing with a ball, the kids were playing Capture the Flag (or the elven version of it anyways), with rocks lined up to show the barrier between the two sides.

Andarien threw up both hands to wave at the children, dropping his bag in the process. "Miiiiiiiii!" he shouted at the top of his little lungs.

Earendil winced, the shout piercing his ears sharply.

Lin also winced, and she wondered why was it that a person's hearing was only sensitive when it wasn't the person who was doing the yelling. She didn't even have sensitive hearing like the way Earendil did.

Miyuki did, but she was thankfully much further away, but she heard him. Pausing for a moment in her game, she spotted her family. Thinking that maybe they had to go somewhere she ran towards them instead, shouting over her shoulder that she would be right back.

If they would let her.

Earendil didn't bother chastising Andarien for shouting. They were outside, after all.

"We could probably have just spoken to Leyenda and Kelirahc," he told Lin with a chuckle, "but I guess it's good if Miyuki knows he's here, too."

He bent over and set Andarien on the ground and picked up his bag for him. "Here, Andarien, take this."

Andarien however had taken off and was running towards Miyuki, arms outstretched.

Miyuki was already seeing what was going to happen. She stopped half way and waited for her little brother to run up to her (or into her) with a hug. She had to laugh at that though, because he acted like he hadn't seen her in a while.

"He really does adore her," Lin murmured to Earendil.

And Andarien did exactly what Miyuki expected him to do: he ran right into her, not slowing down at all, and threw his arms around her waist. "Miiiiii!" he squealed, hugging her tightly. "Mi! Nana and Ada took me to see you!"

Earendil chuckled. "He does." He hefted the bag in his hand and looked over to where Kelirahc and Leyenda were sitting and watching the game. "We should give them the bag if Andarien's not going to take it with him right away."

Miyuki took a step and a half back at that sudden weight but laughed anyways as she hugged him back.

"I know, what did you do while I was playing?"

Playing could wait for a bit longer. Besides, there had to be a reason why her parents brought Andarien here.

"We should," Lin nodded as she took Earendil's arm and led him over to the other couple.

Andarien grinned up at Miyuki. "Play with Ada!" he said proudly. "We made a tower with my blocks! But Ada kept knocking it down. And he was teaching me new words!"

He was proud of himself, even though he knew that he had only learned a few words.

Earendil smiled softly to himself and allowed Lin to lead him to where Leyenda and Kelirahc were sitting together on the grass.

"Hello there," Kelirahc greeted them in the Common Tongue. He still did not speak Common Elvish, though he understood some of it. To him it was more difficult than the Common Tongue had been - though to be fair there wasn't the same urgency or incentive for him to learn it, either.

"Hello," Earendil returned the greeting. "Leyenda, how are you feeling today?"

On their trip to the small town, Leyenda had been feeling unwell off and on. Today she looked very well though, and felt it too.

"Wonderful," she beamed at him. "I think it helps that we're not traveling at the moment ... sometimes the movement of the horses really sets it off. But it's also more peaceful here than in Chansond'eau. The people are really different here."
