((Okay, so do to utter boredom and a lack of other things to post... I'm gonna go for a little catalyst move with Emmia... This might not work out as I originally thought, but oh well. Its worth a shot to try and get people posting.))
The silence was deafening once the Elder's question had settled in the air and faded in the whispers of the wind. Of course he must know that they were all indeed eager to hear his reason for calling their, rather large, group to congregate here. Terra gazed at him intently just as the others did, and stood, ready, to recieve the awaited plan. Again her eyes became a deeper green, and the foliage about her feet all seemed to shift around her, as if her very aura was luring them in. A twig broke behind them and several heads snapped back to look at who was now advancing through the trees. Terra's body relaxed as she saw Lae and Haylin approach. She was both releived that they had finally found their way here as well as glad it wasn't some native elves come to gawk at them.
"How nice of you to decide to grace us with your presence, dear Miss Lae." Came Emmia's sarcastic banter once she too had registered who the new comers were. Emmia smiled at her friend and shifted to make room for her to stand beside them.
It was then, in that small moment of playful joy, that something cracked within her. A wall was penetrated. All at once, the world was turning in circles. Her heart stuttered and pounded hard in her chest, as if trying to break through her rib cage. A dark haze fell over Emmia and she felt like her head was going to crack in two. Her breath caught, but no sound passed her trembling lips. Blindly, Emmia reached out for Lae and grasped her shoulder for support. She was caught so off guard that there was no stopping the vivid scenes of dreaded history passed from gliding through her mind like film through an old movie camera. Her eyes glazed over, holding no color, leaving them a solid white. Suddenly she wasn't standing amongst her group in the clearing anymore. She was at the beginning of a worn path that led crookedly to a vaguely familiar, yet wicked looking tree-home. The mangled bark and thread-bare branches towered over her, but there was no fear there. Only a burning hatred for what was inside. This was it. Her kill was waiting, unaware, and there was no escaping it now. They would all fall at her hand. She advanced, and in a moment, her hands were ignited, the heat matching the flow of the boiling liquid that tore through her veins. She was so hungry... so lustful for the blood of those inside that horrid tree before her. Only a few more steps and she could have them all, so easily... 'No...' she thought. ' Not here... please no! Get out of my head...!!' Her mind felt cluttered with desperation and her lungs felt like they weren't taking in air at all. Empty and gasping for clarity, as was her consious self. Her will to resist was fading, but she kept fighting the darkness, the shadow threatening to swallow her whole. That person that hungered to be released upon these filthy humans. No, no don't think that way. She'll only win faster. Screams were echoing in her mind now,and she felt herself slipping away, consumed with the shadows of her other self. She forced her way back, and gripped Lae's shoulder to affirm that she really was there, back in the clearing among those she'd grown so fond of. Her orange irises returned, but the battle wasn't over. Her body erupted in heat, blazing just beneath her skin. Quickly, she let go of Lae, afraid her touch would burn as her hands were suddenly caught in flame, licking her delicate-looking skin but leaving no mark. It may not have burned her skin, but wounds unseen bled in quiet torment. For the first time in what had seemed like years, Emmia was sincerely afraid. But not of what was happening, nor for her own safety. No, she feared something much worse. She could only imagine what unspeakable things could happen if she gave in. If even for a moment she let slip her desire to be different from what she was and allowed that... thing, to escape. Shasta would return, without mercy nor regret.
"Lae..." she whispered hoarsely. "... she's back."
((So... yeah. If you don't like it... tough. Cause it took a while to type. Lol ;P
EDIT!! I... made my post better-sounding. If that's even the proper way of saying it. Either way I added some things to make it all flow abit better. Please read! I like this new version better!))

((YAY for postage!!))
Lae felt it, she knew it was coming and when it did it hit full on it left her speechless, grasping for words. Her fear could not even be put into horrible words. Yet one word could explain it all, and it could never be spoken for the fear of awakening. Shasta....
Looking at her friend she knew what she was facing as her shoulder grew cold from loss of blood. Emmia was facing herself, her evil self. Right now all she could do was wait, and pray to god that the one who opened her eyes wasn't the devil himself. Her eyes aglow with the deep purple of worry, she watched as her friend suddanly erupted with heat. She felt it but really nothing of fire ever bothered her anymore, at least not at this moment, this tiny part of time.
The words she heard were worse and better that she expected. Better because at least this time Emmia acknowledged the fact Shasta was there.
Worse because well....crap, this was the worst possible time for her to come out. Humans. Our Friends.
Not caring about the deep heat Lae tipped forward and embraced Emmia in a tight hug. She held Emmia there and wispered in her ear,
"I kept her at bay last time, I can do it again. I'm stronger now, Emmia dont worry we can get through this. We will. Together. I promise you that I will never let you hurt anyone."
With those last words she stepped away from Emmia and looked at her, showing that even then, her eyes were back to their normal calm Green.
Looking back over the crowd she willed them to say anything, let them say anything.....and she would come up with the sad excuse that Emmia's magic just started to act up a bit.
And in truth, her magic was. The horrible magic within her deep self.

Rylee sighed in exasperation when she reached Ichnel's home. Even from her position on the path she could find no sign of anyone even remotely resembling a human, or any sign of there being anyone around for that matter. Either that or she was just incredibly blind and if that was the case then maybe her makeshift eye patch really was good for something after all. Rylee snorted at the thought, even if she only had one eye she could still see that there were no humans here.
She gave the home a flat look, well there went that hope.
Rolling her eyes, Rylee turned to leave only to find herself rooted to the ground, a part of her reluctant to leave. Maybe if she just went and knocked on the door...
Shoving the thought from the forefront of her mind, Rylee forced herself to move and start back on the trail that led back to the Market. She might as well get her other shopping done and standing here wasn't going to do any good.
Casting one last look at the house, Rylee let a small pinch of self-pity run its course through her, before shaking her head to rid the usless emotion from her mind. It really was an annoying thing, self-pity, and she had much more important things to do besides wallow in misery. So she bit her lip and forced the anguish that was threatening to grab her to a small unused portion of her brain all the while not knowing why she was feeling so upset.
It wasn't as if she had actually done anything besides standing in front of the house and looking at it like an idiot. That in mind, there wasn't anything to warrant sadness now was there and this could all be cleared up if she went and knocked on the door. For all she knew there were people inside and they were playing a horrendously obscure game of Hide and Seek.
But...Checking would confirm whether or not humans actually were there and another part of her, the small portion that was tired of getting her hopes up, wanted to just give up and live the rest of her life here and stop the needless wishing.
For once Rylee decided to listen to that small part of her mind and started walking back, although this time much more slowly and with heavier steps as she let her head droop forward. She continued to look at the ground until she passed the same group she had seen earlier. Rylee cocked her head to the side.
"I wonder what they're doing?" she mumbled as she took a step towards the large group, her curiosity getting the better of her. She crossed the expance of green and stopped, her eyes going wide. Right beside two elves, one who looked sick and the other who looked worried were humans. Real humans. Real live humans. And many of them for that matter.
Rylee gaped and her fingers went numb, the basket in her hands dropping to the ground. When feeling to her limbs returned she lifted her arm and pointed at the group.
"You... Humans... Who are..? When..? How did you get here?" She stumbled over herself, the words falling from her mouth before she could come up with something more refined sounding.

Raizer stood to the side of group watching to see what was going to happen about the humans when he suddenly felt a strange, sudden spike of magick. He spun around looking for the source when he saw Emmia grab the shoulder of another elf, who he had not met before, as her eyes blanked out and she stated to slip out of consciousness. Then he felt another spike of familiar magic as she let go of the girl and her hands caught alight before she muttered something to the other elf and she hugged Emmia saying something he couldn't hear to her and then stepping back.
Raizer watched completely shocked as all this played out before him, his eyes changed to a dull yellow showing how shocked he felt at the sudden outbreak, he drew a sharp breath as there was another spike of magic but this time stronger and his eyes changed to a firery red as his own magick reacted.
When it was over he stood open mouthed staring at the two elves "uhh... w...what just happened, are you ok?" he asked stumbling over his words as he tried to compose himself.
His head then snapped in the direction of a noise off to side where he saw another human looking at them gob smacked as she stumbled over her words.

Haylin was shocked not only was a crazy scene unfolding like right next to her, but the air all around had been taken up to an unatural hot. Making her hot and uncomfortable, even in the amount of clothes she had on. Stepping back when the flame urupted from Emmia's hands, she was frightened. The air....the air doesn't feel right, she thought while staring as Lae hugged Emmia.
Finally ripping her gaze from the scene, she heard yet another person making their way into the small clearing. Sounded like yet another curious elf that had wondered in. However, the thought leaped from her brain as soon as she saw the beautiful blonde figure standing behind them.
Rylee...
Before she knew it she was there, she was there hugging Rylee as if her life had depended on it, and nothing else mattered at that moment. Nothing but.....Rylee.
"Rylee! OH MY GOD! We thought you were kidnapped...or worse. I thought...How...How are you here?! I mean we...but you...."
She trailed off no longer able to keep her voice from cracking. The tears, yes the tears we already there. She felt as they slipped down her smooth cheeks and onto Rylee's shoulder. Stepping away she wiped her eyes quickly with her hands and tried to reagin her composer. She hardly wanted to look like an emotional wreck infront of the whole group. Happier than ever before she thought of how her friend could possibly be here. There must be a big explaination for all this, They told us we were the first humans...Is there more of us?
Looking up at Rylee in wonder Haylin thought of when they all found out she was gone. Rylee's parents had gone balistic, even the high school set up a large amount of searches in the deep woods west of the school. Yet of course, nothing was ever found. The whole community morned for her, and now...now this was almost to good to be true.
Haylin eyed the bandages over Rylee's head and slightly wondered if she was harmed here in this land. Looking over her shoulder she knew Terra must be just as excited. Even thought all three of them had been good friends, two years ago when Rylee was found missing Terra and she had kinda just drifted apart. It was neither a good nor a bad thing to her at that time. Yet now, now things were going to be interesting between the three of them. She wondered if their old friendship could be rekindled, to what it was before.
((If anyone opposes to anything here I will gladly change it.^^ I just liked the idea of us all being friends before.))

((Pshah!... flippin' idea stealer!! Lol...))
Her anxious waiting for the Elder's answer was suddenly cut short as the odd little drama started to unfold before her. First, there was Emmia. She had come to expect the surprising reactions this curious elf had, but this time it was different. She was in pain and in a matter of seconds the girl had doubled over into Lae's arms. The fire wasn't much of a surprise, but this time it wasn't controlled, and the heat was affecting all of them.
Terra wasn't the type of person to stand by while these things happened, but for some reason she couldn't get herself to move. In slight panic, she looked up to see Raizer's shell-shocked expression and was at least releived that she wasn't the only one freaking out. But then, his head snapped to the side.
Curious, Terra followed his line of vision to see a familiar figure standing only a few yards away. her things were spilled and the first thing Terra thought to do was go and help her pick them up. But then, she stopped, and watched mutely as Haylin caught the girl in tight embrace. That name... it couldn't be.
It was only a moment before her jaw dropped, and the dawn had come. Rylee... Rylee? A profound feeling swelled in her chest as she took several steps towards them. She was waiting for someone to tell her she was just imagining this. That Rylee was still missing and she was only going off of wishful illusions. All the memories of the day that she had been declared 'Missing Indefinetely', surfaced. How dreadful those words had become. When everyone stopped looking. Had she really spent all this time... here? Alone? Without any other group to at least be lost with. And what would happen now? What of the friendships that had long since been forgotten. She hadn't really spoken to Haylin about any of this since it happened. They had quietly drifted, and accepted that neither wanted to remember the loss of their dear friend. Yet here she was! Terra felt like yelling it to the people back at home who had all given up too soon. 'See! She's alright! I knew she was all along...' What could this possibly mean? All of it. Rylee's disappearance, going through the door, finding her here. Was this all connected for some purpose? Were there other humans here? So many things were making sense, yet, as this place had a habit of doing, these answers only brought more questions. When would the cycle end? Now she wanted nothing more than to embrace her long lost friends, together. But Terra found herself almost afraid to approach, as if once she advanced, Rylee might disappear again. "Is it really you... Rylee?" she asked quietly.

Luke views the first scene with a mix of awe and horror. She just seemed to burst into a fit...if he somehow managed to learn how to use flames...would the same happen to him? He tries to shake the idea as Lae tries to calm Emmia.
Then he sees something interesting. "Rylee." He didn't really know her, but anyone who went to the school knew about her after she dissappeared. Well...she's not dead, at least.

((Awesome idea, I love it xD))
Rylee's body went rigid in shock as she looked down at the dark haired head that was leaning on her shoulder. This could not be happening, it had to be a joke. No way was her luck good enough not only to find humans after such a long time and but to have them be her friends as well. It just wasn't real.
But the warm arms and the wet tears sure made it seem that way. After a moment the warmth removed itself and Rylee focussed on the face she knew so well. Even after two years, she could still recognize the girl before her who looked so much the same but different as well.
"H...Haylin?" She choked out, her voice coming out a breathy whisper as tears began welling in her eyes. She began to shake uncontrollably forcing a sob back down her throught as she wiped vigorously at her eyes to remove any incantation she had been forced under. When she cracked her eyes open again, and saw Haylin still standing there, her face broke out into a brode, jubilant grin.
"HAYLIN!" She cried out, rushing forward and embracing one of her dearest and oldest friends in delight as tears dribbled down her cheeks. Happiness and hope began to bubble up from the depths of her heart, slowly at first before gaining in intesity and speed till she was fit to burst from the joy of it all. It sang in her mind as blood pounded in her ears, causing her to feel more alive and awake than than the past two years combined. It felt as though the fog she had been unknowingly living within for the last two years had finally dissapaited, letting the warmth of the sun break through to her with warmth and light. She realized she was laughing from the joy of it all and managed to swing the other girl around in glee. Rylee had after all become quite a bit deal stronger from her stay in the elven world.
"Haylin! My God Haylin I can't believe you're here. I thought I would never see you again. Its been so long and I've been so lonely and I thought there was no way to get home and I'd nearly lost hope because wherever I went or whatever I read gave no indication that there was anyway to get home and now you're here and and...and..." she realized she was rambling and let Haylin go, a bright grin still decorating her face as shiny trails of spent tears shone lightly in the sun. Then a thought occured to her, if Haylin was here then... She looked up at the sound of another voice.
"TERRA!" She yelled out and practically flew towards the girl, enveloping her in a hug as her giddy grin erupted into gleeful giggles. They really were here, she couldn't believe it. New tears sprang forth and for a moment she felt rather embarrassed over crying in front of everyone else, but then she decided that it had been way to long since she had seen either Haylin or Terra and that she was entitled to at least one good cry. She let the happy tears fall and released her childhood friend before dragging her over to Haylin and giving them both another fierce hug, not wanting to let go lest she wake up and find that this was all just another dream. Another fantastical dream that she would soon awake from only to find that they were both still back home, away from her and leaving her alone in this strange world. Reluctantly she let go and looked at the two,
"How did you get here?" she asked in amazement.

Emmia tried to smile, to show she understood and trusted Lae, but it was a failed attempt at feigning happiness. There was nothing for her to be joyous about. This would ruin everything. If they all found out about her... problem, then surely they'd reject her. She knew that once this got out, they would all be disgusted. How could anyone stand idly by when a monster like her was near? She risked a glance at the group and saw the mixture of shock and fear. When Raizer asked, Emmia wasn't sure what to say. There was no way she was telling anyone about Shasta unless she had to. She gave Lae a pleading look and transferred this thought to her in her shifting orange eyes. So many things were coarsing through her that her piercing, overwhelmed irises couldn't hold to one color for more than a moment.
Emmia's gaze followed the two girls as they had run towards the new comer. Their group seemed to have no bounds. At least their ecstatic reunion was a momentary distraction from what had just happened. She was sure there would only be more questions later. But then again... what she supposed to expect? Her hands were still on fire. Slowly the flames diminished until there was nothing but embers in her palms. Her body relaxed, and she tried standing up normally, only to catch herself in another dizzying spell. She pressed her palm to her forehead and closed her eyes, but it still felt like a fire was blazing on the inside. Just great. All of them had to see her like this. Even Jao... what a wonderful impression she must have made.
Now that she had completely mortified herself, she wished to just sink into the earth where she stood. What would the Elder think? Or the humans, or that matter? Taking advantage of the touching scene of the three girls a few feet away, Emmia started towards the forest at a fast pace.
Bad idea. She was halfway to the forests' edge when her legs gave out under her. Already that foul demon's presence was wrenching her strength from her. But the worst of her attack was over, at least. Frustrated, she felt cool tears roll down her cheeks as she sat there for a moment in the dirt. The salty drops were actually colder on her face than her own body tempature. Determined to leave, she moved to push herself up again, only to have her arms give way beneath her as well. "Pathetic, really..." A cold voice sliced through her thoughts with a sickeningly pleased tone. She ignored it and at least managed to get to her knees. On the outside she bore a terrible stare that she hoped would ward off anyone who attempted to help her. But really wanted nothing more than to be held. She cursed under her breathe. "I am pathetic..."

((Gracious, Emmia!! So frickin' emo.))
The giggling was contagious, and only after a moment of Rylee's jubilant embrace, Terra was caught in a fit of laughs as well. She could feel the moisture on her face and assumed it was the tears now forming in her own eyes, only realize they were Rylee's. Now all three of them had sparkling tears dribbling down their faces. Terra beamed at Rylee for a moment before she felt herself being pulled back to Haylin. They all faced each other and in that moment Terra felt almost complete. Like even though they couldn't have been farther from their small town, right here, right now, she was home again. In the arms of the two girls that used to know everything there was to know about her. And for that minute when they had all embraced each other it was as if nothing had changed. It was like they had all just gone on vacation and had only just now been reunited. Like they were little kids playing in the front yard.
Now for Rylee's question. She made to open her mouth and answer, but found that she really had no explanation for her. "Um... well... we were kind of hoping you could tell us that. I mean, one minute we were on the bus on our way to see the torch being passed, and the next we're here! Honestly... I haven't got a clue."
((Kinda rushed. I'll fix it later.))

((hope you dont mind))
Raizer watched the humans greet the newcomer looking absolutely overjoyed to have found each other again.
He quickly turned his attention back to Emmia and he watched with worry as she got up and tried to leave only to have her legs fail beneath her.
He started forward to try and help her but the look in her eyes froze him in his tracks, her eyes bore a glare so strong that she almost dared anybody to try and help her, he stood there contemplating whether it was better to leave someone to deal with what had just happened on their own or whether despite what they thought they should helped.
Finally when she managed to get to her knees but couldn't get any further the latter thought won, he could atleast help her to stand.
He continued to walk towards her more tentatively this time, just incase she really didn't want any help, he looked back at the group and wondered if they knew what was going because the elf who had just shown up obviously did, taking a deep breath he closed the gap between them and crouched down beside her "are you ok?" he didn't expect an answer but it never hurt to ask.

"Of course she's not ok...Look at her." Luke stands behind Raizer, arms crossed. Sure, he was happy to see Rylee, but this seems just a tad more pressing to him. Stepping around, he kneels in front of her to look into those glaring eyes. "...Those are not the same eyes from before..." He feels the heat from the air around them... ...Hmmm...

Emmia again wasn't sure what to do. As Luke and Raizer approached, she edged away, but both came to kneel beside her anyhow. Even though the fact that she still remained on the ground was a pretty clear indication, Raizer still asked how she was. She felt heat building again as she continued to bore holes in him with her stare. When Luke beat her to an answer, her head snapped around to look at him, as if she was silently saying 'Thank you'. However, now that she could see him abit clearer, she realized he was gazing striaght into her eyes. Feeling cornered, she thought of trying to avert her gaze, but couldn't quite look away.
Her eyes flashed, settling into her regular orange. But as Luke spoke again of eyes, they changed, slowly. As if reacting to what he had said, a smoky purple-ish color dominated the orange, and for a moment it was as if someone else were staring back at him. Chilling and cruel, as if this strange other person was looking right into his soul. But then it was gone. Emmia blinked, finally looking away, eyes normal and now intent on standing on her own. The tempature around her, however, never wavered and her fever pressisted. "I'm fine. It was probably just all the excitement getting to me. My magick acts up if I'm not keeping myself in check. No worries." she said, dismissing the issue with a small grin, as if nothing had happened. She didn't want them to dwell on it. That would only lead them to things they ought not to know, at least not now.
Emmia could feel herself stabilizing, and anxiously tried to get to her feet again.

Luke doesn't move...As Emmia stands, he remains, his eyes seemingly transfixed in place...His body is tense... The temperature rises around him exponentially...It's as if that gaze into his soul from the other eyes...
He goes into convulsions. His body falls over, shaking. To the touch (if anyone would be brave enough to) he's blazing hot. His golden brown eyes now hold an ever so slight tint of bright red...

"Luke... Luke, what's wrong?" she asked in a worried tone. She had only just stood up, looking down at the boy that now kneeled at her feet. She blank, captivated stare he held was unnerving, and right off she knew something was wrong. Forgetting her fatigue, she kneeled back down again and placed a hand on his shoulder while trying to look him in the face properly. Then he had started trembling horribly and slumped over side ways. She caught him in her arms and immediately felt the blaze upon his skin. Emmia was sure it was her fault. Her magick must have affected him somehow, she just knew it. Fearful for what it might do to him, she closed her eyes for a moment and silenced her magick while Shasta seemed to be backing off. As she adjusted him in her arms, she looked down and saw the steady build of red-ish glow in his eyes. This drove her nerves mad with worry. 'It's my fault...' she chanted in her head. If only she had better control of herself, all of herself. She looked back at Raizer, hoping nothing was wrong with him, too. "Are you alright, Raizer?" she asked, trying to make sure. "I'm sorry you had to worry about me."
Still caught up in the reappearance of her dear friend, Terra hadn't notice the events that had so quickly turned for the worse. It wasn't until Emmia started to call his name, did she realize that anything could possibly be worng. The girl turned, still giggling, until her eyes fell upon Luke. He was shaking uncontrollably in Emmia's arms, and not answering her call. All at once her laughing was silenced and her smile died away. Her heart beat irregularly as she turned away from Haylin and Rylee and dashed forward to Emmia's side. She clumsily fell to her knees and looked down at Luke, concerned and afraid. "Luke? What happened? Say something!" she said in a rush. Her eyes were shifting from hazel to a deep green as she looked down at him. She placed her hand on his forehead and could feel the intense fever raging through him. "He's burning up. Emmia, what happened?"
"I... I don't know. He just suddenly started shaking..." she said, trying to think of what to do.
