Introduction posts are scary.
Hi!
First and foremost, thank you so for much having me here.
My name is Anneke (Aki for short), I'm 22 years old and I live in Trondheim, Norway. I have always been interested in and drawn to the Victorian era. After repeatedly stealing some random guy's goggles at the local gaming convention last year I have become interested in steampunk, too, but...I feel I need help. I seem to be an imbecile when it comes to actually seeing if things fit into the steampunk-style.
My interests are reading (too many favourites to count), writing, being with friends, going for walks, and watch movies/series. At the moment I am neither working nor going to school because of some mental issues that need sorting out, but normally I study English and work as a telephone survey person.
Feel free to ask anything you like. I will probably just lurk around here for a while, getting the feel for the place before posting anything but this, but I thought I should at least introduce myself.
Thank you!
- Aki.

*a curious metal skittering is heard above as a strange shadowed creature moved, stopping with a hit of steam, dropping down, landed in a kneel, twirling a crowbar and a pipe wrench, or it would be a pip wrench if Gaia effin had one, his caster pistol as his side. He stands grinning, lifting his goggles to his forehead and placing his tools in his belt, mechanical arms folding neatly into his backpack, nine fluffy tails waving.*
I go by Kuri, pleased to meet everyone.
I've had an interest in Steampunk for a while now and am glad to join a guild that supports that.
And on a final not,e airships and steam powered robotics RULE!!!

Roleplay whore time, keep in mind, I haven’t done this in ages...and I'm sleepy, so bleh.
The sun long set, the deep rumbling of the town's engine lulled the citizens to sleep; accustomed to the sound; like a lullaby to their untrained ears, the giant cogs rumble as they turn, and the wheels of the town push forth through the waste land; trees, boulders and the remains of the ancient static cities crushed beneath the behemoth’s weight.
A solitary figure stirs below the decks of the town; inside the gut of the beast; the smell of diesel wafting in the air, mixing with the humidity created by the steam; creating a truely...unique atmosphere occasionally, the monotonous grinding of the ancient gears is pierced by a rush of steam, escaping through old valves.
Four mechanic arms spring to life; the faint sound of their workings fill the air in an mechanical aria, and slowly, slowly lift the figure off the long rusted walkways, the arms raise him steadily; as a father would raise his newborn; powerfully, yet with an air of caution...just a little higher than the steel railing to either side; the figure tilts its head to one side, surveying you from behind bronze goggles, you can feel its eyes somehow behind the tinted glass; unnerving, yet inviting you to stay.
Slowly, the figure lifts its arms, lifting its goggles over the top hat, leaving them to rest as they are.The creature raises its head, you swear you can see a smile, despite the battered mask. To your surprise, and with great dexterity, a mechanical claw grips the rim, and the hat is raised, revealing hair as pale as the fairest skin, yet stained with some dark grime; possibly oil or grease...maybe both.
Lowering the hat back onto his head, the claws slowly reseed back from whence they came, lowering the man to the walkway; with a final clunk, the arms disappear, as if they never were.
The mechanical man strides towards you; an air of arrogance in his step, the deep thud of his boots echoing in the belly of this steel beast. Approaching closer, the man lowers his mask and removes a tattered, stained glove, holding his right hand out and shouting above the mechanical aria; "A pleasure, the name's Musph, Chief engineer o' this engine; welcome ta' my world."
The original horror to which first filled you reseeds, in its place, curiosity; this creature; human...yet somehow machine, covered in oil, yet with manners equal to the highest class on the top deck.
TL;DR. 'ello, I'm Musph. N' i am obsessed to the complex simlicity of Steampunk.

well i'll make this short and sweet!
being a person who thoroughly enjoys knowing how things work, making things, all that jazz, i know it was a profoundly good idea to join this guild. not just that but i am a large fan of, well, "a simpler time" where things lasted longer than what they do now.
expect lots of ideas for clothing and homemade things from me! (well ideas, most of my stuff is in the works/planning)
