Silkara I am having trouble with the npc merchant. I try following the instructions (fill in what you want your new distribution to be, allowing for a 1:2 trade) and clicking the trade 1:2 link, and it reloads with a new random 1:1 ratio and asks me to pay 3 gold for a 1:1 trade. I don't want to pay 3 gold for a 1:1 trade, I want the normal 1:2 trade of my extra wheat! stressed Can someone please tell me, step by agonizing step, what to do? cry NPC merchant is 1:1 in Travian 3, which is what we're playing, and 3 gold is the rate for the 1:1 trade. I keep a steady trickle of gold attached to my account, since I lean -heavily- on the NPC merchant and the boosted resource production. My resource status is ALWAYS wheat heavy; I've kept it that way knowing that eventually I'd need to raise an army for oasis stomping. With 20 defenders off being mercs at Frozen Glade (2W each), 53 Thunders made (2 each), 10 Swordsmen (1 each), 1 Scout (2 each), and 7 more Thunders in the hopper I -still- generate more wheat than anything else. It'll probably even off as I build up my forces, but I like having the extra resources to shuffle around as needed. I -think- the 1:2 NPC Merchant was Travian 1 or 2. Sorry, love.

NPC merchant is only gold 1 for 1 trades
You need to make an offer or try to buy at the old fashioned PC market for free non 1:1 trades

One of the guys near me, who's been quite friendly with me (he's the one that let all my troops go after I took an ill-advised whack at him, with only a bit of teasing) is experiencing some trouble with a neighbor a bit farther away.
I've been asked to go after the a*****e should Guiseppe (sephiroth_9 cool vanish off the map. The problem is that said a*****e, Belrias, is a member of OMEN... and OMEN is pretty damned big. sad Guiseppe's been a really nice guy, and I'd like to help him, but if I take a whack at Belrias then -I- will get creamed as well.
It's my suspicion that Belrias would back off if the village were part of an alliance, but I wanted to clear it before I extended the invitation. Where do we stand on non-Gaians?

I'm alright with newbies, as long as they're intelligent. That's where all those random names in the alliance are coming from.
Are you glad you found the Alliance, Silkara? surprised

Are you glad you found the Alliance, Silkara? surprised He's quite intelligent. He can even spell and write in complete sentences (the caveat being capitalization, but we can't have everything, can we?), or I'd not be communicating with him. *snicker* I have a strong dislike of stupid. :p I'm going to extend an offer to him. If he replies in the affirmative, I'll echo it to you, Arc. Thanks!

Are you glad you found the Alliance, Silkara? surprised Glad I found the alliance, not so sure I am glad I found travian... My inability to sleep for more than 4 hours at a time because of my obsessive-compulsive need to check in on my village is getting very odd looks from my husband, though our room mate understands; he has a village too! biggrin Actually, he was asking about this alliance a couple days ago. He joined one early on because they invited him (I think because the members were afraid of him twisted ) but they are very inactive and he wanted one where the members were a bit more involved. I think he knows how much I like this alliance and wanted to join, if we still have room. His name is raven22canada, send him an invite and he'll owe me a favour. biggrin biggrin biggrin (He makes cheesecake... tell him the invite is dependent on him making one for me!)

There's another 15-wheater near us with good oasis placement... and then a 9-wheater next to it. I know a 15-wheater now could help massively with army maintenance later, but it will take forever to grow an army with only one of each remaining resource field. So... should I go for the 15 or settle for the 9?

Go for the 9wheater, it's alot more self sustained. You won't be throwing resources at it every 10minutes sweatdrop
only every 30 blaugh
Then again, a 15wheater might pay off more in the end if you used gold
