Kii Kurosawa
Kii(Human) and Maervaye(Tomyu)
Kii blinked, looking down at the fallen maple. Needless to say it wasn't exactly the best thing to fend off the bitter cold of winter.. Perhaps there was something that would help in her spellbook.
"I suppose your right Maer," she said, removing her uncle's spellbook from her grey satchel. "Now, lets see..." She flipped through the pages, going straight for the enchantments section of the book. "Ahh.. now..."
Maer watched Kii carefully, tilting her head to the side as her guardian began to read silently from her book. The small tomyu flittered her wings, bringing herself from the maple log onto Kii's right shoulder. She kept her senses open to anything wandering close by.. Being an empath had its advantages, as nothing would really sneak up on them.

Kii removed her runic dagger, crafted of mithril and oriharukon, and began to carve runes into the bark of the fallen maple. As she carved, Kii drew energy from the earth, trees and air around her and channeled it through her weapon to feed the runes she drew. She felt Maervaye move from her shoulder to the top of her head, though she kept her concentration on the runes she drew.
The cherry petal-spotted tomyu gazed in wonder at her guardian's craft.. Though to mortal eyes the runes looked nothing more than odd markings, Maer could see them glowing faintly, holding in the energy they were given by Kii.
Kii sat back, still holding her dagger in her hand. Her grey eyes looked over the runes she carved, certain she had completed this portion of the spell perfectly. Since her accident with a shapeshifting spell, she'd become a perfectionist when it came to spellcraft. The sorceress' tail curled through the air as she reversed the dagger in her hand.
She her right hand, containing the dagger, out befor her, the back of her hand facing the sky while the dagger's blade pointed to her right. She placed her left palm upon the butt of the hilt, and closed her eyes. She drew in more energy, the runes along the dagger glowing brightly as they recieved the magic. Quietly she incanted, crafting a rather complex spell for the reletivly simple action she wished the spell to take.
She turned her hand, and lowered the blade to touch it's tip to the bark of the maple. To Maervaye, and any other being with magical ability, the energy would flow quickly through the log, giving it an ethereal glow before the energy found the runes. The runes glowed a soft light blue, holding their spell to the maple log. During the winter, Rae's home would stay comfortably warm.. Though, Kii also placed another spell that would keep the log from rotting.
Kii stood, and wiped her brow. "There.. that should do." she said aloud, knowing the runes would draw what little energy they would need from the earth to keep them active. Her eyes glanced at the stars, sighing as they did.. She had a limited amount of time to have been here, and though she hadnt been able to see Rae, she did give her friend a small gift.. it was time to leave.
The sorceress placed her book and the dagger back in the satchel at her side, and removed a tangerine-sized amethyst, a collection of faintly seen runes glowing within it's heart. The bunny earred woman closed her eyes and held a mental picture of the place she wished to be.. She then spoke a few words to the gem.
Indigo and green sparkles wrapped the sorceress and her charge in their folds, quickly hiding them from view before falling slowly to the ground.. Nothing stood in place of the girl, as she and the tomyu had seemingly vanished with the sparkles.. The sparks vanished soon after touching anything tangible.. leaving next to no proof Kii had been there to begin with.
