CP: 6
Clone CP: 6

Megumi stepped in through the door, keeping composed as ever. Although, staying composed was rather difficult when you were carrying someone nearly a foot taller than you, even if it wasn't hard."He's not in the best of wear." Megumi created a shadow clone with the little chakra he/she had remaining and let it have Irihi. Megumi was unidentifiable as male or female, and the lower half of his/her face was hidden by the trench-coat collar he/she loved so much.

This Hyuuga girl seemed to be about the same age as Nyame. Though she did not wear the characteristic Jounin outfit (actually, no member of the Hyuuga line does), by her chakra levels it was quite noticeable that she was indeed of at least Jounin rank. "Eh..." She murmured before narrowing her eyes to forcibly surface her doujutsu. "Byakugan." Lilith scanned over Irihi's chakra system, trying to suppress her surprise - Juuken Kempo injuries? But how can this be...? Could Irihi had gotten injured while sparring with Nyame-sama?

No, that doesn't seem right. Lilith tried to swallow her confusion. Nyame-sama would've personally come then. Then does that mean Irihi was injured by some other angry clansmen? Being from the branch house too, Lilith could sympathize with him...and Irihi had it a lot harder, being a halfblood too. But somehow, that thought didn't seem right.

Could...Irihi...have used Juuken Kempo on himself? Gah! That didn't make sense. Though the cursed seal was no longer used, the branch house was not allowed to be taught the family Taijutsu style unless under special circumstances. And Irihi was specifically prohibited by the Hyuuga Council!

Unless... Unless Nyame-sama taught him kempo. Somehow, that thought seemed more correct, despite how logically outlandish it was for an elder of the Hyuuga council to intentionally break clan decrees. But Nyame-sama loved Irihi dearly and hated the clansmen who would intentionally hurt such a sweet boy.

"Ruptures to all 361 tenketsu nodes..." She murmured, grimacing. "Only something a clan elder should be able to do. Yet...the damage is a lot less than what it should've been, if from Rokujuuyonshou or Hyakunijuuhachishou. My only logical conclusion is that he did this to himself - I shall not intrude on why."

Lilith pressed a button on a circular dialer and a group of Hyuuga surgeons arrived from the elevator. More branch members. And though they weren't allowed to learn kempo, they settled for learning the medical arts. "Have you called, Lilith-san?" The Hyuuga teenager nodded, pointing to Irihi. The surgeons took the boy from Megumi's clone before heading upstairs by elevator.

"This is so strange..." Lilith muttered to herself. "A branch member with kempo...his mother was main branch but...oh!" Realizing that she had said it aloud, a slight flush flickered across the girl's pale features and she fell quiet.

But Megumi probably already have learned more of Irihi's strange condition - mother from main family, probably kicked to branch family because of his halfblood status...protected by a clan elder, who probably had taught him Juuken Kempo in the first place...

"You seem to know quite a bit about my student. I will not ask anything of you. I would not be so rude. I will say something, however. And one thing only. Those eyes your are born with let you see almost everything that's real. However, some of you focus on them so much that you forget about the eyes that everyone is gifted with. These are the eyes that allow us to see the truth. See with your heart, don't look with your eyes." Megumi turned and stepped through the doorway. Reaching a hidden hand down, he/she made sure his/her katana was secure but quick to the draw.

"We of the branch family were often told...seeing not with our eyes, we travel further than those of the main family. Of course I know his story..." Came the quiet answer, accompanied by a small nod. "Everyone in the clan knows. His story, after all, is the saddest and most famous within our generation..." A slight pause. "He shouldn't have been thrown with the rest of us of the branch house... Do you know the difference between the main and branch houses...?" Lilith's voice trailed off. "Though the cursed seal is no longer used...very few pureblooded Hyuugas remain in the branch house. It does not necessarily even have to be inheritance of another clan, let alone kekkai genkai..." Lilith was hinting to the fact that some had non-shinobi fathers or mothers or those not from formalized clans at all.

Smiling, she pointed to herself. Lilith had characteristically dark gold hair, noticeably different from Irihi's dark brown hair colour. "Byakugan is a recessive trait...inheritance among non-pureblooded members is quite rare. And a gold hair colour is never seen among the pureblooded clanmembers... I'm half Yamanaka, see." The smile faded, as she glanced at the elevator in which Irihi disappeared. "But...like I said...among us, Irihi-kun's blood is probably the purest among the branch family, his okaa-san being from the main family..."

Lillith could see that both of the beings standing before her appeared neither male nor female, and, should she have chosen to look, every tenketsu -and the entire chakra system, for that matter- was vaguely distorted. While still forming a full system, there were several 'dead-ends.' There were places that appeared to require tenketsu, but were simply branches that led to nothing. They were most numerous around the pelvic region, and there were many physical deformities dealing with bones and muscles that were situated there. The entire thing was functional, but it looked like two similar sketches were laid over each other, just not quite fitting for one body. However, there would also be a more disturbing differentiation situated around part of the skull. The right side would appear more animalistic. The right half of the mouth had sharper teeth, stronger gums, and upon very close examination, (due to the hiding of these things) the right ear and the right cheekbone were sharper. "How something comes about and how it turns out are two different things. Pureblood, half-blood, I honestly don't care if you have no blood. Judging someone from their birth is wrong. And I think that in all their endless wisdom, the Hyuuga have yet to learn that lesson. Mark my words. Eventually, there will be a pureblood in the branch house who surpasses the Main branch. And when it happens, that one will show the 'pure' Main branch that everyone is equal. The Hyuuga have helped us fight so much for goals that they have not attained yet... I apologize. It is not my place to question your family's ways. I do not know my place sometimes...." Megumi was going to have to punish their brother for speaking out of line. He needed to learn his place. If he didn't start asking for permission soon, they were going to have to kill him, out of necessity. he would have already killed them if he'd had more of a hold on the body...

Lilith shrugged slightly. "It is fine. But I never claimed Hyuuga family infallibly wise. Despite this village's constant hailings...we're still only but human." She fixed her pale eyes on Megumi, flicking an offending strand of dark gold hair away from her face. "We are blessed. But so are other shinobi. However, no matter how many the blessings...it does not alter the imperfection of mortality. Hyuugas can see many things. But we're also blind to many things...just like the others, even without the Byakugan. However, we do what we can."

"Hyuuga is...too sadly strict a traditional a clan. Yet...we of the cadet line are the clan vitality. The main family fears venturing into the unknown so we of the cadet branch do the exploring. Using our inheritance to the utmost benefit for our village, to glorify Konoha's name...in the medical, fuuinjutsu, genjutsu, and ninjutsu arts." A soft pause. "But that is changing. The main family has gotten their zeal to explore...taking sentry duty to defend this village, herb gathering and poison cultivation, the smithing arts, and even teaching the young ones, not of our clan, the hidden faces of the medical arts."

Lilith stopped speaking as one of the surgeon from before rushed to the lobby. "Lilith-san!" He called out, stopping to catch his breath. "It was a success! Hyuuga Irihi is out of critical and should now be fine with some light sleep." Turning to Megumi, he bowed his head slightly...a noble family's indication of acknowledgement, of respect. So. Even the cadet branch members share in the same pride. "Hyuuga Irihi would be on the second floor, the first room across the elevator...room number 2-1."

Megumi bowed to the Hyuuga. "Thank you, sir. how much did your work cost you? I, of course, will take full charge of the bill. I apologize for any inconvenience caused by our incident while sparring. I will make sure to teach him when it is proper to use such methods for escaping his opponent." Now turning to Lilith, Megumi bowed again. An elegant, well-practiced gesture. "I must apologize, however, I must see to my charge. I promise to return soon to speak with you again, if you'd have me. You are a very interesting person, and I would enjoy speaking with you further sometime."

The pale-eyed young man bowed his head slightly again in respect, smiling. “Oh, there’s no need, sir. With the usurper and the blood traitor both missing, it’s back to the good old times again. Our Council of Elders takes care of the bills for less affluent patients, while those from wealthy clans have the head of family charged. In this case, it’ll be on the Hyuuga house.” A soft pause, followed by a chuckle. “Energetic child, he’ll be discharged at the end of the day. His pet wolf refused to be separated from him though... Come with me.” Ding. The waiting elevator opened again. The Hyuuga waited for Megumi to come in as well, pressing the button to the second floor before holding the door open for the Jounin.

That's just going to cause more trouble with the house... Although I don't suppose they can disown him, killing him wouldn't be difficult. He might do it for them himself. Megumi stepped into the elevator, closing his/her eyes and taking a deep breath before opening them. It's good to see I've left a mark on-Megumi punched his brother in his mental face, silencing him. Hold your tongue! Such a loving brother... Why won't you kill me? You know you want to. Are you afraid? Megumi's face looked to the left as she saw the mental blow connect. It might not seem like much, but when you're existence is only real on the mental plane, pain is just as real there as anywhere else. OK! ok... Enough... I'll be a good boy... I'll play nicely.... You'd better. Megumi. That's enough. He'll think twice about it next time.

In his room, Irihi stirred weakly, a soft moan from his lips as a warm tongue lapped against his cold cheek. One lilic-coloured eye cracked open. Lailah? Even his thought seemed so distant. But then realizing he was in a world of white, Irihi began to get very worried. Was he dead and in the afterlife? His other eye flew open before he bolted upright in bed. Lailah yelped indignantly, losing balance and toppling into a messy bundle of snowy fur on his lap. "Lailah!" The Chuunin exclaimed, drawing the bundle into his arms. His long dark-brown hair was left loose and flowing and the doctors had switched him to a hospital outfit. "Lailah girl...where's sensei...? Did you...?" His voice was soft as he cradled the wolf pup. A happy bark answered him. So Lailah took him to the hospital... But she couldn't have carried him so that means...sensei was here!

Megumi stepped into the room, looking at Irihi cradling Lailah. Suddenly his/her resolve to yell at Irihi vanished... Irihi was just out of his ordeal, and Megumi wasn't going to scold him just yet. "Irihi. How are you feeling?" Looking him over with a mother's eyes, he/she saw most everything that was physically wrong with him, but he wasn't his/her son, and so any internal damage could only be wondered at. It was a mother's job to know what was wrong, but Megumi wasn't a mother... And Megumi couldn't yell at him, because he/she was no father, either... Times like this were the hardest... A complete feeling of inadequacy enveloped Megumi's mind, and she felt their brother fight to hold back his comment.

The boy almost instantly stopped doting on Lailah. "Sensei!" Happy exclamation as Irihi hurriedly stepped out of bed, wincing slightly...looks like the lingering discomfort will take a little longer to disappear...before hugging Megumi. "Yeah...I think they did a pretty good job." A happy blush was on the teen's face, making him look even more child-like as he let go. "Oh, I'll get changed right away!" Irihi snatched up his clothes that were left neatly folded at the foot of his bed by the nurses...and rushed off to the nearest bathroom on the floor. With a light indignant yelp of being left behind, Lailah jumped off his bed and rushed off after her master.

Megumi watched... Confused... He/She returned the hug warmly, and waited patiently for Irihi to return. He seems to have had a little bit of... How do you say... Recession? You're actually right, I think, brother... It's good... He shouldn't be grown up yet.

((Please have three completed lines. =3))

Irihi returned to the room shortly, back in his usual garb with Lailah riding comfortably on his head. He began searching the room for his missing bow and quiver... Wonder where did the doctors leave them...? Before his foot kicked something that had fallen onto the ground near his bedside. Found it! Irihi readjusted the strap that held his quiver over his garments before picking up his bow. A curious look at Megumi. "Sensei...did I pass the Genin ceremonial test?" Though technically he was near Chuunin, Irihi categorized the spar as the usual initial test a Jounin greets his/her new squad... Except in this case it really wasn't a squad...so it wasn't the traditional bell test... But Irihi was ready for training and missions, excited at the prospect of finally being allowed outside of clan and village confinements.

"Test? What test? I was just casually practicing my Doton when you brutally attacked me. Tell me, though... After your daring little stunt, how was it you planned on beating me?" Megumi looked up at the... Relatively much larger boy in front of him/her. "And your greatest strength was the Byakugan... You should never give it up unless you're going to die otherwise... I don't want to see you do that again, ok? Especially not during a spar. If I'm ever serious enough for you to consider such a course of action, believe me, you will know. Until then, let's try to avoid these excursions to the hospital... They creep me out." Megumi smiled again. Megumi had already walked back to the elevator while talking, and was holding the door of Irihi and Lailah. "So, you seem to be looking well enough. Walking, at least. What is it you wish to do?" Megumi had purposely avoided the question of Irihi's passing. With Megumi, the test was long before the spar. Megumi would know whether he/she wanted to teach the student long before finding out what they're worth. Once Irihi entered the elevator, Megumi would then speak -only after the doors were closed- "Yes, Irihi, you passed."
