Well...he hated the Republic because they backed the other planet in his race's interplanetary genocidal (both sides, if I recall) war, and he was also told that they arranged his shuttle 'accident'.
As for the Jedi...did he really hate them? Or did he kill them for his job, for the sport, and for the nifty trophies?
