Sora hung his head. May was acting really immature. Who really cared about how old she was? He sure didn't. But she acted younger than he did. At least Minasia would be there to kick some sense into her. "Well, I guess you're going to have to at least show us the way to this village, then," he said to Alianae, but instead of jumping onto Terra's back, he slumped further against her side. Even if he knew the way, he'd have to wait for the wonder duo. Minae and May. The queen and the protector. Without them, Sora and the others would be dead meat. Kalios might not even stand a chance. He might be a pure-blood Alalean, so then he must have started his murderous path somewhere in Alalea, and they would know it's him. Even after twenty years, a murderer like him would not be forgotten.

Wide getures and sighs emmenated from the exasperated Minae, who was deseprately trying to kowck some sense into may.
Sure, she knew she was acting immaturely, but she had vowed never to be stepped on, and she judged that moment as one of the toe-crunching ones. You couldn't really argue...
I mean, she almost treated her like an ignorant child! She had already voyaged with Minae, and though her, Alianae. She KNEW the way almost as well as she knew Minasia, but NO, she had to be kept back...
She large words and expensive explanations Minae tried to make heard were lost o her; She had crossed her arms and lost herself in thought and reflexion.

When Minae finally stopped, she was tired and out of breath; May was stubborn, that she knew, but this.. Was unusual...
"MAY!!!", she growled, shaking her roughly, bouth hands on her shoulders.
"I'm careless wether or not your pride has been just scratched! Now is the time for my advisor and my protector to be at my side! Not some childish and indignified twerp lower than a bug!"
May growled in protest but did nothing to stop her...

Minae proudly walked back to the group with her head high with May at her sides.
"Now then, May, I think you owe Alianae some aapologies!"

May shrugged in return, giving her an icy stare, but said nothing.
She stepped forawrd and bowed, speaking with a clear voice.
"I am dearly sorry for my unruly behavior and truly hope you will forgive my selfish actions"

Kalios moved next to Minae. He would have loved to say a joke about May being more immature than Sora. At least, before, he would have. But now, the prospect never crossed his mind. "So, May actually wants to be more mature. Yet, most of the time, she acts more mature than Sora," he said, gesturing towards the green Rider. "I would say that's qualification enough to be considered mature."

She grinned and lowered her head to her chest, resting on it.
"Well, for the moment.. I can't say I.. Really... Care that... Much..."
She slowly drifted into a deep slumber; Knowing that she was an elf, this wasn't too good...

Alianae looked at May. "You are forgiven. Come on, let's go."

She had now slumped to the right, twards Kalios, before slumping to the left and finaly feeling the grass against her face in a sudden shock.

Her draems roiled with untold stories and fantasies of past generations, but one dream paticularly stood out from the rest of the odd mix.

A single figure stood out like a sore thumb amongst many; It was clearly a woman, and by her posture, she was the authority of the small group of men.
They frenzied from one side to an other, looking like they were searching for something, and that their lives were on the line…
The woman, she wore a dark blue tunic tied to the stomach with a tight, black corset.
Her pants were as dark as the night, worn on the top of the calves and on the legs from use; One of the reason being travelling in the forest.
She stood proudly on a large boulder, which, too, stood out like a broken tree, on the western edge of the Hadarac desert.
"Hurry up you bunch of slackers!" she called out, stopping the men in their tracks.
"You all know that if we don't find IT, your heads will be used as candle ornaments!"
Torment and fear gleamed in the men's eyes, clearly pleasing the girl.
As son as she stepped of the rock, the men buzzed with action through the small mound of sand.
A shame in was to the girl, who's authority went down a few notches as the sacred scroll, the Will of Alalea, was stolen.
Reports were that a cloaked man ran out of the hold with a scroll in hand, rushing to the desert and suddenly vanishing in the dunes of golden sand. And amongst those reports, it was mentioned that the man was near a large boulder before disappearing; The only boulder, or almost, in the Hadarac desert was near a slim river that flowed near the edge. So, they sent a troop to dig there.
Sure, anyone in his or her right mind wouldn't even have dared to accept, or even stay alive; But the thing is, they dug with MAGIC. Not just any magic; The girl, the supposed Captain of the troop, she is the reincarnation of THE legend, the Blue Legend of Saurulia. In fact, she's her daughter.
You see, the Blue Magick, as it is called, is more than a match to any NORMAL elf magic. And, to this day, it matches, if not surpasses, any Rider power, even the one of the King of the Empire, Galbatorix.
She, the leader, kept a steady flow of magick between herself and the diggers so that they, too, could have use of this seemingly interminable source of magic.
With it, they could easily lift sand and isolate it in a glowing blue bubble, away from the whole. Also, to keep the sand from pouring back into the hole, the leader kept a strong barrier around the dig site.
Yes, she was believed the strongest elf to this day, but... She had one, just one, weak point; The Blue Rider, as she called him, Eragon.
She HAD met him at a certain point in her life, and something quite unplanned happened... LOVE.
But none of that now, we should go on with this silly story.
"It's in times like these when I wish that precious Father hadn't sent me to protect the will..."
She sighed and slowly walked away from the site, walking up to an other figure, seeming to be a man, perched in a tree, a low, dried tree.
His face was pale and bathing in the moonlight, his upturned visage turned to stare at the million of stars watching over the land.
He wore a dark green tunic, a heavy sword on a jewelled belt tied around his waist.
His ears, pointed, perked through his caramel colored hair, that reached down to his chin.
"Any news?" the man asked, his voice masculine though soft and soothing.
"Nothing yet... We've been searching for three days, can't we stop?"
She shrugged as his head turned down to face the nearly fainting girl.
His eyes were so blue, you'd think you were looking through him and up to the sky.
"Minasia, you know better than to just give up like that... Especially when it concerns your own heritage!"
"But Sora, you've seen it as well as I, there's nothing here aside--"
A loud voice erupted from the small crowd in their backs.
"Milady!! We've found it! We've finally found it!!!"
They both quickly turned around, Sora jumping out of his tree.
Minasia got to the site faster, the drive and excitement of discovery running through her veins.
Upon BOTH of their arrival, they peeked in the large hole, their gaping mouths dropping to the sand beneath their feet.
"I-Is this it? It's enormous..." Minasia said, rubbing her eyes, making sure she wasn't asleep.
"I...I believe it is, Minae..."
Before them lay an extraordinary staircase, carved in marble, odd carvings engraved in the posts that held up a small roof above the twirling stairs.
Rivers of blue and gold twisted together in a single rock, white filaments tangling in each other to for a unique type of marble.
But what was more intriguing was the way it was hidden; A barrier around it kept the sand out, leaving clean stairs.
Also, there was antique writing hammered in the posts; Without a doubt, it was the acient language. Any elf would've noticed it.
She smiled and turned hr face to Sora, a sly grin covering her usually emotionless face.
"Shall we?"
Sora grinned in return, his way of saying yes.
She took the first steps, not knowing what adventure she had just dragged herself, along with Sora, in.

((Sora, you VERY well know where this came from... wink What, it had to start SOMEHWERE... ninja ))

Kalios looked over to Minae. He hadn't noticed that she had fallen asleep until then. "Minae...?" he asked. He heard her slight snores. That wasn't good. Elves never slept unless they were thoroughly tired. Waking dreams would be the default. "Minae!" he said, now holding her in half-bent arms, shaking her slightly. "Wake up, wake up," he repeated over and over. The other part to this was that if she didn't wake up soon, they'd be forced to stay until she did. He stayed out of thoughts because of his wanting to not violate her mind, but the need to do so was increasing.

Dreams kept on roiling in her head, torturing images whirling in her head.
Sge moaned a few time, picture of a large and long hallway flashing in her mind, depicting dwarves and elves and dragons, all in an epic war, carving of kings...
The sight of a staggering death, though, was too much.
Her eyes shook wildly under her lids, desperately trying to escape this transe, but something, or someONE was holding her in it.

May rushed to Kalios' sides, staring at minae for a while, then sighed while getting up and pinched the small canal between her two eyes.
"This isn't good.. She's having visions; This only happends when something bad or gigantic is going to happen..."

Alianae nodded. "What we have ahead of us is a VERY BIG thing. She needs to know what will happen and what to do. That would be why she is having visions." She kept her hands fastened behind her back so they couldn't possibly notice that it was she who was giving Minasia these visions. She kept her presence from Minasia too, so she wouldn't notice her and tell the others.

Kalios looked up, "Visions?" he asked softly. "Could we pop her out of it? Or see what she's seeing?" he said in a shaky voice. "I mean...we can't let her suffer alone? Can we?"

"I'm afraid there's nothing we can do but wait" she said in a painful sigh, well aware that she would only come out when time was ready...
"I know what it's like, I've been through it more times than I can count, and she's always come back in the lapse of a few minutes... But this time, I fear it's going to be longer... This isn't normal..."
She sigh and sat down, her legs slightly bent, larger than her shoulders, like a '|/', her arms in the middle of the small valey between her legs.
"She's having a vision where I'm not present... None of us are there... Chances are we're going to die.. It's always been like this..."
It was true; Many other elves were with her at the beggining, such as Arael and Moinar... But all have died after Minae's visions, concerning but herself and May...
PostPosted: Thu Nov 17, 2005 5:18 pm

"Die?" Kalios asked in a small voice. "What if she's not viewing the whole future?" he continued. The idea that he would be killed because of a vision seemed a bit far-fetched for him. But then again, nothing in his life wasn't far-fetched. Hopefully May would be wrong.

"You realise that the chances of her being wrong is very slim. She has NEVER made any mistakes concerning her visions... And beides, I've heard Sora's names... The shouts in her mind were too much to ignore, really... But since he was there, and that the both of you are pretty much the same person, that saves the both of you, does it not?"
She smiled and clasped her hands behind her back.
"And I'm sure Alianae and Ruia won'T give up their lives over a simple dream! Along with the others..."
She smiled and sighed, walking to the nearest tree.. Thinki9ng better of it, she went up to the wall and jumped to the top, with magic of course, and wimply layed on it.
