the Seventh sin .the.[MAD].hatter. the Seventh sin .the.[MAD].hatter. the Seventh sin .the.[MAD].hatter. Ladon sighed. Excitment shot through his body as he kissed Taylor back. He never felt so alive. He slipped his own tongue into Taylor's mouth. This couldn't get better, that would be impossible. ~ He felt his body respond as his heart beat faster. He breathed deep again, taking in Ladon's smell. Shampoo. Cologne. Soap. Sweat. Blood. It whispered as it flowed through his veins. Dark promises. A seductive rush of exitement. It was addictive, offering the same illusory highs that drugs provided. How he longed to taste it again ... He broke his hold on Ladon and pushed away, jumping to his feet before Ladon could blink. Clenching his fists he walked away quickly. Away from the tree, away from Ladon, and away from the brink ... ~ Ladon felt foolish. He felt ashamed when the tears came. He held them back for a second before the came rushing. He swiped at the tears. "What the ******** is wrong with you?" He yelled after Taylor as he stood and grabbed his stuff. He stalked inside and to his locker. He was foolish to think that he could be loved. He had promised himself and he had promised Sundari that he wouldn't get distracted. He sighed as he looked at the picture of the little brunette girl hung carefully with pride. His sweet little Sunny. She had given him her little stuffed tiger the day he left fo school. He missed her so much that it hurt. Ladon flipped open his scetch book to a picture of the little girl sleeping gently with the animal tucked under her arm. "The only sunshine in my life." he sighed. ~ It was hard to keep walking. The hurt in his voice was enough to make Taylor want to turn back as he shouted angry words across the courtyard, let alone the tempting pulse in his throat. Pulling a hard rein on his urges he quickened his pace and broke into a run, his aim the thick wooded area around the school that blocked them off from the world. His long legs carried him there faster than most and once he had the cover of the trees he let the shape take over. To think that he could ever love someone ... he would only hurt them in the end ... ~
Ladon slammed his locker shut. He was upset, there was no doubting that. He would never be able to go near that spot again without glaring. He felt his fangs lengthen slightly. no, not today he told his body. He wasn't about to feed when he was so upset. He had done that once before and it had scarred him ever since. Ladon stomped out of the school building. The sun burned slightly ... he needed somwhere dark. Somewher where he could brood. He spotted a small forest near the edge of the school ground. Perfect he thought. Ladon quickley made his way across the school yard and into the shadows of the trees. The darkness instantly soothed his skin and he sighed in releif. Ladon quickley scaled a tree and sat on a sturdy tree branch. He flipped open his scetchbook and started to draw a dark shape. ~ He trotted at a steady pace on all fours as he tried to calm down, his claws digging in to the unmarred earth. What had he almost done? To Ladon, of all people ... Even now with the earth beneath his paws and the canopy of trees over his head he still felt to close. He could still smell him, still feel him. He was angry, Taylor could tell. But then again, who wouldnt be? He had left him there in the lush summer grass with a brand new heartache and no explanation. If only I were normal he said to himself then I would be what he deserves. If only I where someone other than me ~ Ladon spied the wolf below. The poor animal was pacing. Let him Ladon thought. Ladon looked down at what he had created. It resmbled his father a lot. It was a dark figure hidden in a Shadow. "This is crazy." Ladon mumbled as he flipped to a new page and fixed a picture of Sunny in his mind.

I could just run and never look back. His heart ached at the thought of never seeing Ladon again. It felt right with him. Everything did. Holding his hand, talking to him, they way he fit so perfectly in his arms. But could he trust himself not to lose control? He could never forgive himself if he hurt Ladon. Breathing deep he lay down beneath a low hanging branch and closed his eyes. What am I going to do? ~

Ladon cried out with frustration. This wasn't going right. He tore out the page and crumpled it into a ball and let it drop down below him. Sunny didn't look like any of these little girls. "Hope your life turns out better than mine." Ladon mumbled to the wolf as he started to walk away.

Taylor hid his nervousness well and tried to keep a casual demeanor as the trees oppened up into a small clearing. He sat down in the center with his knees folded under him and his eyes kept to the ground. With a sign he started to talk. "I didn't mean to leave you, Ladon. I didn't want to, but I had to. For both of our sakes," he said softly, not looking up. ~

"As is your right," he said softly, rubbing his neck in an old nervous habit. Not knowing what to do with his hands he shoved them back into his pockets. Be bit his lip and looked up to Ladon's piercing gaze. "Shall we?" he asked, and stared off on a casual pace desperately hoping Ladon would follow. ~
Ladon watched him shove his hands into his pockets and felt slightly guilty for being so cold. He quickley threw up a sheild against that feeling and sighed. "Lead the way Taylor. I'll follow." Ladon said quietly. ~ They walked for a while in silence, picking a careful path through the moderate underbrush. ~ Ladon kept standing staring at the treetops. "Taylor, if you thought leavin me was wise then you are an idiot. For both our sakes you better tell me what's wrong." Ladon said angrily.

.the.[MAD].hatter. the Seventh sin .the.[MAD].hatter. the Seventh sin .the.[MAD].hatter. Ladon glared at Taylor and then glared at his hand. Should he really trust him after he had abandoned him? Was this relationship worth being hurt over? "I'll walk ... and I'll listen ... but I will not give you the honor of holding my hand." Ladon told him icily ... He felt his fangs lengthening in defense. If he was going to walk with Taylor he was going to have his gaurd up. ~ His hand lingered for an akward moment before he let it drop back to his side. He had never had to explain this to anyone before because there had never been the need to ... he had never been close to anyone before ... now how to begin? "Ladon ... I don't want to hurt you," he almost whispered. ~

He muttered as he ducked his head.

Earlier I had to leave because I was so close to doing things ..." his voice trailed off and his eyes fell again. ~

Ladon looked at Taylor with Shock. "Is that all?" Ladon asked. "Don't you think I've worried about the same things? I'm half vampire for Christ's sake!" Suddenly a lighting bolt hit a tree nearbye. "Sorry." Ladon mumbled as he glanced up. He laughed slightly. "She keeps me in check from time to time. But seriously. Taylor ... If I hadn't expected it I wouldn't have risked it! Besides ... biting is fun."

Died, Ladon," he said, louder than before. Raising a hand he held it up between them and as they watched his nails lengthened, growing ominously long and sharp. "This isnt playful biting, Ladon. This kills. I don't have a balance to my dark side, Ladon! My mother doesn't send down warning shots!" ~ ~
