Cristopher Reinhart

Sundown, the breeze whistled over the vast greenery of the plains, an Angel felled, his friend sat at his side with his knees folded staring into the faded lit sky. Behind him stood the pale woman whom not too long ago finished casting her spell, she stood in silence looking to the horizon. Events unfolded in Reinhart's mind, the scene played over and over in his head, the brilliant light, the destruction it caused, then his retaliation.

Reinhart lifted his hands and stared as if examining them, the power, it was great and as much as he hated to admit it he feared it. His ghostly guard, it was powerful, and it was only one of many. Incredable, he thought to himself looking over the bandages that covered his fists and palms. It was truly incredable. He stole a look at his felled friend and wondered if he'd be alright.

As dishonorable as it was he struck at the Angel's very being, that which was unseen by most but percieved by many. A spirit was something to protect and now he posessed the ability to destroy one. Fear held him, then Celeste did. Knelt behind him the pale woman wrapped her arms around him trying to lift his fears and regrets. She felt the fear just as he did and feared nothing more than that very fact.

Taken from his short trance he looked down to the slender, pale hands that held him, he felt guilty. How did he allow himself to take her life?

"It's quite alright."

She said in a sympathetic voice.

"You had no other choice."

He took comfort in her words but felt no aleviation from his guilt.

"I know."

It was but a whisper but it was all he could offer in words.

The plains were cool and a soft breeze was wafting across the grass, causing it to ebb and sway like waves in the ocean. They seemed to stretch on into infinity, the horizon stretching out, green to eternity.

As the soft wind blew, a man stepped out from behind it, as if stepping out from behind a wall or curtain. His arrival was abrupt - his footfalls were heavy as he staggered forward before falling to his knees with a thud in the soft grass.

He lay on his belly at first, allowing the sun to warm his back. He felt naked, weightless, as if the world was water and he was swimming in it. Rolling his massive body over, he landed on his back, his right arm falling out flat, his auto-mail left clinking into position in suit. His crisp azure eyes grew less foggy, more clear, as he drank in the sight of the omnipresent sky, dotted with fluffy white clouds.

"...Mother...I've returned to you..." He whispered to the grass, the wind and the sky.

This seemed to be hilarious to him, and he laughed out loud, a loud roaring laugh that made him throw his arms around his shaking body.

This came to pass soon, however, the mirth losing itself within the wind, and slowly he pushed himself to his feet. He shook his head roughly, the mane of blond hair adorning his head losing the blades of sward that had gotten tangled within. He then looked down at his arms - one obviously metallic, scientific in nature, as opposed to the other, which was as warm and full of life as ever. This made him frown - but he pushed it aside. What did it matter now?

Clearing his throat, he looked about himself, realizing his situation. Naked, standing hip-deep in an ocean of life...and clinically alone.

Not as alone as he might have wished, for one who had eagerly been awaiting his return made her own entrance to greet him.

Time stood still for a moment, a stray blade of grass froze in midair before him as a jagged slash of light appeared just off to his left.

A smiling young woman stepped out of the rift, closing it behind her. She wa dressed all in white, a very modern looking business suit with round gold buttons and a long tulip skirt that flared around her calves, the edging of the skirt was decorated with little curving vines all in gold thread. She had fairly short golden blond hair, the ends curving around her slender neck above the collar of her jacket.

She smiled at him as she dipped into a low bow, her eyes quite obviously had been closed since before she stepped out of her rift. Time jumped back to life as the woman lightly tossed a duffel bag at his feet, still in her low bow. "Welcome back... I though you might like some clothes!" whee

The bag could be found to contain clothes in his size, sensible fabrics all in deep tones of blue and green, along with a pair of hiking boots. She hadn't bothered to introduce herself, or explain why she was there... or how the hell she had known where to find him...that was all for when he was feeling a little less naked xp

The man looked down at the woman with a look that was bemused cornering on confusion...but he didn't care. All that mattered was that she had, apparently, brought him clothing.

Kneeling at the bag, he opened it to find that she was telling the truth. Pulling the clothes out, he looked them over - noting that they were tailored, as were all his clothes - before pulling them on. When he was suitably dressed, he stood up once more, closing his eyes to breath in the fresh air once more - before looking down to the woman.

His voice was deep, rolling off his tongue like rolling thunder. "...What is your name?"

She tilted her head up towards him, an amused smile making her appear as if she thought this was the funniest thing she had heard in quite some time.

"You may call me 'Andi currently." Her voice was light and airy in comparison to his. "I have been waiting for you, and for a while I was quite worried that you would never return."

She clasped her hands behind her back as the wind blew her short curls across her closed eyes. "But I always had faith in you..."

He smiled back down to her, reaching out his auto-mail arm to rest it gently on her shoulder, squeezing it softly. "Your faith will be rewarded, Andi." The man replied. "You may call me Donner."

Donner cocked his head to one side as he spoke, looking the woman up and down. Something within him recognized her - but for the life of him, he could not remember the information.

His raven. He needed his raven.

He stood upright, looking about him. "I am confused...the trip was taxing on my body and my soul...where is Munin?"

"Hum, that is an interesting first question... Munin is in the middle of a transition. She retains her power and abilities currently but she refuses to use them due to a desire to meld properly with her new mortal body. Her current physical location is two miles due west of Durem, in the home of one Evan White, also known as Hugin!" 'Andi absently brushed golden strands of hair out of her face as she spoke.

"Is there another Raven I might interest you in Donner?" Now that was a funny question...but perhaps the fact that she wouldn't open her eyes and look at him was the really strange part.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 16, 2007 6:43 am

"There are more?" Donner asked, grunting with a little surprise. He had always thought there were only two Ravens - Hugin and Munin. Are there more?

He hadn't noticed she wasn't looking up at him. He was still too confused to think straight at this time. He was glad she was there, that was for sure.

"Oh there are quite a few others... The birds changed a part of their nature when they chose to serve Odin... as for another in specific, perhaps Hono could serve in Munin's stead?" There was a soft note to her voice, something that should have caught his interest...but she was playing on the fact that he was still confused, and was not worrying about him asking questions that she was not ready to answer.

Round and round they go... where they stop, no one knows....

"Hono..." Donner echoed, as if not recognizing the name...before a soft smile spread across his bearded face. "...Yes...the dancer."

"Take me to Honoraven, Andi." He said with a commanding tone.

"As you wish..." Her smile was bright and shiny, and more than just a little smug.

Verandi mentally opened another rift in time and space and gestured Donner to step into the glowing tare in the air before him. There was nothing in there except for a light that would momentarily blind the man before the woman followed him and closed the entrance behind her.

"And off to the stadium we go!" whee
PostPosted: Thu Oct 18, 2007 12:18 am

He cocked an eyebrow to her words, smiling back down to her, before watching as the rift tore open behind her. Impressed, the large man followed her, stepping through the rift and into the blinding light...

The rift closed behind them and within time was not an issue as she moved them to the stadium.

Along the plains of Gaia a lone man rode upon his motorbike heading eastward. He wore only a pair of baggy black jeans and boots, upon his back was a sword which was held by a scabbard. The scabbard was also held by a leather belt. His journey was for Aekea which was a rather long journey, but cut short due to riding a motor bike.

And so he continued to ride onward, to continue his journey!

As the man rode foward in the distance a white light shone outward. The light came towards him quickly till he was within the light. Soon the light faded away and all that was left was whiteness. The ground white, the sky white, the distance white. Coming to a stop the man looked around quickly wondering where the hell he is.

"Jack...I've got something to tell you..."

A voice rolled over the white area, aimed at the shirtless man who was obviousely Jack. Getting of the motorbike Jack looked around quickly to see who spoke those words, yet he somehow knew those words. That voice...It was him, but it wasn't him as he was him.

"Who are you?!"

Jack called out into the white abyss. Then as his echo ended a single black dot formed on the floor twenty feet infront of Jack. That dot grew bigger slowly till it was doubling in size. Soon enough the white floor was covered in that black colour. Jack quickly shot his right hand up to the hilt of his new sword, Blue Flame.

"Who am I? Well, I am you. Your younger self that is...Do you remember my name? Well, if you can't remember cause of that hit on the head, let me reinform you. The name's Vincent, and I'm not going to let you get rid of me!"

The voice, who named himself Vincent, shouted out at Jack. And Jack knew who Vincent was, it was him when he was a pure demon. When he used to murder senselessly. The echo ended and the floor twenty feet infront of Jack opened up. And up rose Vincent. He wore a black and red Yakuta and a pair of black wooden sandels. His hair the colour red, with black highlights here and there.

"You!"

Jack yelled out as he looked upon his younger self.

"Yeah, me! And I'm not going to allow you to get rid of me by visiting those ******** alters!"

Vincent then unsheathed a black katana with a red hilt from a sheath which lay on his back. At the same time Jack unsheathed Blue Flame from its hilt. The sword which Vincent used was none other than Ritsuzen, a rather evil blade. The two both shot foward towards eachother in a fast sprint.

Their swords collided sending blue and red bolts of lightning in all directions. Pushing foward Jack forced Vincent to slide back a bit. Then Vincent came back forcing Jack back, fast. The two shot backwards, with Vincent pushing.

"Is this all you got, Jack?!"

Vincent cried out as he pushed Jack back with ease. Gritting his teeth Jack planted his black boots into the white ground and stopped himself from moving backwards.

"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Cried out Jack as he forced Vincent back. Blue flame in turn burst into blue flame around the blade as Jack forced Vincent backwards. With one last burst of power Jack sent Vincent flying backwards while he stood in place. Sprinting quickly after Vincent Jack swung Blue Flame around by the hilt as he somehow seemed to close in on Vincent.

Somehow Jack had caught up to the flying Vincent in seconds. Jumping up above him Jack yelled out before slaming Blue Flame down on Vincents body. The hammer attack on Vincent smashed him down into the black ground. Blue flames tore at Vincents clothing and skin, burning him with each passing second. As Vincent burnt he slowly began to dissapear into the wind like ash till there was nothing left but the hole he made.

If that was how weak Jack once was he must have grown quite a large bit. Sheathing Blue flame Jack turned around to see another man standing infront of him. The man was cloaked in a red coat and wore only a pair of black baggy pants and black boots. This was Jack during his life in a forest where he married, was killed twice and many other things happened.

"So, I'm guessing you're here to stop me from getting rid of the evil in myself then."

Jack asked his younger self before reaching for the hilt of Blue Flame.

"I may just be, think about it. You get rid of us and all those memorys you once had will dissapear...Do you really want that?"

The red coated Jack asked the older Jack. This stumped Jack for a bit. Would that really happen? Would all his memory's just fade away into nothing? Well that would be a good thing. All of Jack's memorys are of loss and sorrow, if he gets rid of them then he would be able to start anew.

"I...Want that to happen. All the suffering I...You caused, all the pain and sorrow I felt...All of it will be gone...And so will you!"

Unsheathing Blue Flame Jacks blue aura roared out around him before he shot foward at the red coated Jack. With one quick stab Blue Flame shot through Red coated Jack's stomach and all the way out the other side. The red coated Jack then faded away like the other. Did he allow himself to be beaten by Jack? Or was he just weak?

Sheathing Blue Flame once again the black ground changed back to being white, which in turn changed to the real world once again. And Jack was still riding his motorbike along the roads of the Gaian Planes. What a strange dream...
