Himawari frowned in thought. She honestly didn't remember what lap they were on. "Let's see...I think we're on our fouth one, right? That means since we're close to being finished with this one, we have one more!" Which was a good thing too, for it seemed that mostly everyone had already finished or was close to it.

[-Sakura_Star-] Sakura blushed at even the light reference of Syaoran, and they weren't even the same person. She thought for a moment and then answered with a smile. "Tomoeda is like one of those little towns that you read about in a book. The city area isn't very big though, but it's very cosy. Would you like to come over at school?"

Tomoyo's eyes widened in excitement. She was being invited to her house? "Really? Oh, that would be lovely!" She paused. "But...if you don't mind, I'm afraid I'll have to make a few phonecalls beforehand to make sure I can." For the first time in a long time, Tomoyo cursed business meetings. They were interfering with her friendships!
Sakura smiled. "I don't mind at all!" she said cheerfully. She smirked a little bit. Touya had teased her about the fact that she wouldn't make any friends, but now Tomoyo, Sakura, Chiharu, and Syaoran were proof that he was wrong.

Tomoyo beamed. "I'll call in the locker room before third period." She really, really hoped that bodyguards wouldn't be sent after her; she had always felt that they made situations awkward.
"How many laps do you think we've run?" Tomoyo asked. "I forgot to count."

"That's a relief." Watanuki said with a nervous laugh as they entered their fifth lap. "I don't think I would want to get on this teachers bad side on the first day of school." If I'm not on his bad side already for saying my thoughts outloud... He thought, making sure that the thoughts stayed in his head.

Sakura blinked and looked at Syaoran. "I hope so! I'm sure Kurogane-sensei isn't that mean." She added with a smile. They hadn't even completed a single lap, so having to still do five laps wouldn't be enjoyable at all. Plus, she was sure that if it wasn't for her, Syaoran would have finished his laps easily.

Kurogane checked his stop watch. Better make them start running. "Two minutes!" he barked. "And if you want an A, you better try for at least 6 laps!"
Glancing towards the Sakura and Syaoran that returned, he called to them, "You two. You're excused for today, but you're going to have to make up this assignment later." After all, despite the girl's clumsiness, it technically wasn't her fault she tripped, and he couldn't punish the boy for chivalry. On the contrary; he would have punished Syaoran if he hadn't helped her.

Chiharu shook her head. Oh... I'll have to do another lap! she whined in her head, before doing a quick sprint of a sixth lap. She saw Sakura and Tomoyo and overheard the word "Tomoeda"...That was where she lived! I'll make sure to ask them about that next lesson! She promised to herself as the end of her sixth lap was fast approaching.

Sam finished two more laps before the teacher said "Two minutes!" Sam stopped for just a moment to tell him she had just ran two more laps. After reporting her laps she was on for one more. Slitly panting all the way.

Himawari would have giggled if she wasn't so short of breath as it was, but stopped anyways when she heard the teacher yell out. "Oh my...why does he keep changing it on us?" she asked, mustering up any energy she wasn't using to move faster. The next thing she knew, Kurogane-sensei would be asking for twenty laps!

"30 seconds!" He barked, going over his list with mild curiousity. He would go through it more thoroughly later, but right now he was quite intruiged by this Samantha girl. She was blissfully athletic.
Once the time was up, he blew his whistle loudly. "All right!" he said loudly, "You have 4 minutes until the bell rings, and then 5 minutes after that to get to third, so hurry up and go change before you're late!"
Yamazaki sighed in relief. "Well, at least we managed to run the minimum," he said, panting slightly at the effort he had made. He grinned at Eriol. "What do you think next period is going to be like?"
Tomoyo smiled at Sakura. They had miraculously managed six laps without even noticing it; it seemed hard work went by much faster with a friend. "Shall we?"
