Naruto was just getting ready to take his shirt off, getting quite close to the water where all he had to do was jump in. But he pauses when he hears Rikku yell behind him and he gets ready to turn around to see what is going on when he feels a sudden weight on his back, causing him to almost topple over. He cries out in fright, flailing his arms about as he tries everything he can to keep his balance, "Rikku, get off, you're gonna make us fall into the lake!" he says in a panicky voice.

Realizing that would completely defeat the purpose -as well as being both startled & scared by the panic in Naruto's voice- Rikku lets herself fall like a stone. Her eyes are wide. What had she done?

Naruto steadies himself when he feels Rikku hop off his back and he tries to slow down his heartbeat. This wasn't how he wanted to have his cleanup. Turning to Rikku, he rubs the side of his head, looking terribly confused over what just happened, "Rikku, why did you jump me?" he asks.

Sitting on the ground, Rikku looks a bit disheveled from her hurried drop. Her skirt has flipped out in the back so that it almost fans upon the ground & it is bent near in half in the front. The female herself looks a little frazzled as well. Her heart is pounding, her head is not thinking...
Rikku looks up at Naruto, green eyes shimmering. "You're gonna waste the s'mores..." She pouts a little, before her mind can even catch up to what she is saying.

The shinobi was still highly confused. Why did she jump him and what did she mean he was gonna waste the s'mores? Blinking over frazzled appearance, he kneels in front of her, rubbing her cheek gently, arching an eyebrow, "Rikku, are you ok? Did you have too many s'mores? Maybe you should get ready for bed now, I'll be there soon!"

"I'm fine!" She leaned into his hand tenderly -a stark contrast to the fast, burst-like way she was speaking. "& I had just enough! I did! I planned! & I will..."
Rikku leaned forward. "As soon as I clean you up!" Claiming a spot just under his lower lip on the left she started to do just that.

Naruto freezes when she suddenly leans and starts to clean off the mess on his face. He blushes hotly and debates on whether or not to make her stop, but unfortunately he starts to purr a little and lean in closer to her so she can get more of the mess off his face, a dazed smile on his lips

Keeping one hand on the ground where she had landed Rikku moves the other to cup the back of Naruto's jaw so she can lightly suggest he tilt his head for her to better clean some of the tougher spots.
She is purring by this time too, once she is certain Naruto is staying put. Rikku diligently cleans every spot bearing the slightest trace of chocolate or marshmallow, or the tiniest crumb of graham cracker. Her tongue & lips linger over each spot cleaned, as if double checking that it is indeed cleaned to her satisfaction.
His lips she saves until the very last, & even then she does not kiss them but licks at a spot or sucks on it lightly. Trailing her tongue lightly over his lips Rikku finishes at last. She withdraws with shimmering eyes, gently stroking Naruto's jaw as she pulls that hand back with her. "There. Now I've had enough s'mores. Now I will get ready for bed."

Naruto was in a state of happiness and bliss as Rikku cleaned his face off for him, his face red and a goofy smile on his face. He shakes himself out of his stupor once Rikku is done and nods, his body feeling overly hot now. Standing up slowly, he sheds the rest of his cloths (except for his boxers) and he dives into the water, hoping it will help him cool down.

Feeling thoroughly pleased with herself Rikku watches her best friend with a smile on her face. Then she gets up, brushing dirt & grass off her derriere & skirt before turning to go back to the tent. Almost without thinking she goes through the motions of cleaning up their s'mores, burning off the excess goo from the ends of the sticks in the fire. She drops the stuff off in the tent & gets her bag of spheres while inside. Sitting carefully on the small cooler Rikku rearranges her spheres. After all... she did promise to wear the pajama-like Festival DressSphere for sleeping. The Al Bhed might seem flighty sometimes, but she never forgot a promise.
White Mage for the second... but what for the third? Rikku did not like changing the Sphere she was wearing often... it felt funny. Besides, she was really starting to like her Psychic DressSphere. I know 'Ruto said he'll protect me... but I feel odd leaving it up to him alone... I'm used to taking care of myself.
In the end she grabbed LadyLuck, being quite accustomed to it & not wanting something that might hurt Naruto if she changed while they lay together. Tying the bag shut she walked out to the hover-cycle to store the spheres safely away -a habit she had gotten into after the kunkun Tien had tried to take one of the "shinies" for its own. Only then did Rikku change into her Festival DressSphere.
Once more she looked at the paper-lantern-like things she held in her hands & shook her head. How they were supposed to be weapons Rikku had not a clue. With a sigh she set one down at each of the top corners of their sleeping bag, then lay down on top to watch the stars after kicking her sandals off.

Naruto swims about in the cool water for a bit, starting to feel refreshed. Then he baths himself, ducking underwater for a few moments and the resurfacing. Then he climbs out, shaking his fur out to get the water off. He makes his way to the tent, going in and digging through his bag. Once he finds a towel, he dries off, knowing he would have to make another trip to get his cloths and handband after her got dressed. Changing into a fresh pair of boxers, he slips on his sleeping shorts and a large t-shirt. Stepping back outside, he goes to the lake to gather his things and rushes to get them back inside so he could go sit with Rikku. Once everything was put away, he goes back outside and sits on the sleeping bag beside Rikku, looking up at the stars with a happy smile on his face. "I'm really glad we went camping this weekend, I am gonna be sad when tomorrow ends." he says softly.

"Yeah. Me too. On both. But there's always more things we can do together, & we can go camping again sometime I'm sure." Tilting her head to glance at him Rikku smiles at the froggy shorts. "What, no froggy shirt tonight? Maybe I can count the frogs on your shorts still. I never did finish last night, you know."

Naruto chuckles and shakes his head, scooting away playfully, "No way, no one can know how many frogs are on my shorts, it has to remain a mystery!" he says, wiggling his fingers about. He then slips into the combined sleeping back, settling himself in. Today had been an active day, and he was so glad Rikku showed him the rest of her outfits, he liked all of them so much!

Rikku pouted, but joined him in the sleeping bag. "Someday, my slippery ninja I will count those frogs!" She winked playfully at Naruto before snuggling against him. A yawn escaped her & Rikku hurriedly brought her hand to cover it. "mnnn... When did I get so tired?" There was a trace of pout in her question though Rikku did not seem otherwise too upset about the prospect of sleep.

Naruto lets out a yawn of his own, covering it with his hand, and he smiles a little bit. "It's ok, we had a pretty busy day! And we have all day tomorrow to do whatever we want as well! So lets get some sleep in!" he says. He wraps his arms around her and kisses her forehead, finally settling down and closing his eyes so he can drift off to sleep.
