"Cut isn't needed. You have to beat Roxanne to use Cut anyway and it would be kinda hard to get here if you had to cut. Mostly, it's grass and trainers. I managed to sneak by the trainers on my way here. They probably had two or more pokemon at the same level of Mudkip and I didn't want to risk losing without more pokemon."
