Tac shook his head, unable to cry, he didn't even have it in him anymore.

He cried out to the heavens for guidance, sobbing, but no tears came.

Pain wracked his body as he tried to stand. Damn them...damn them all to hell. Everything was being repeated exactly the same as before, save for the books. Either way, Tac was nowhere near the room to help.

He stumbled and fell to the ground, back hunched over, "I'm sorry Sent...I couldn't evenfulfill your dying wish..."

Aetas began the procedure as he saw the eleventh glyph begin to glow. Tac looked over Cari...she had grown so old. And Orcus...the Taint had taken him, power core corrupted and destroyed. Orcus was no more. Well girl...one last ride. Sir, I'm ready and waiting.

The twelfth glyph began to glow, starting from the bottom and working it's way up. From his spot far below Tac slowly turned gaze upwards, time cranking to a crawl as a field of bright white energy burned around him. He sit on his knee, arms crossed before him for a brief moment. The field turned a vibrant purple as flames tore through the area from the energy discharge. He threw his arm outward and for an instant it looked like he was in freefall. Legs stretched out behind him and arms straight out, the right gripping a molten piece of metal that was burning like the sun. He closed his eyes, and did not open them again until after twelve gunshots rang out through the tower.

The room burst into flame as Tac fell all the distance he had just come, smashing through the floor to the outside of the Tower, falling to the ground. Sent banged on the door, it had been melted shut from the intense heat and gravity. Aetas stumbled backwards and into a chair, twelve burning holes marring his face. He almost looked as if he were dead. He convulsed and fell to the ground as a wave of orange light pulsed outward, causing the floor to liquify as before. The chair Mystina was in and Aetas himself fell through the floor and down. Her chair would land in such a fashion that she would be completely unharmed.

Sent, literally, punched a hole in the floor, debris falling all around Mystina, but missing her completely, Sent had seen the results beforehand to choose where to punch. He dropped down and scooped up Mystina, flapping his wing towards the wall as a great pulse issued forth, forming into million sof little shards that tore the walls to pieces. With a claw he grabbed Aetas' rib cage, digging into his chest as he lifted off the ground. He began flying out of the Tower as fast as he could. Down below Tac continued to fall, looking back up as his eyes opened to see the three fly out from the Tower. He closed his eyes as he neared the ground, "I did it....I did it Sent."

The Tower shuddered at the impact, the ground cratering. A voice called up, "YOU PEOPLE DONE INTERUPTING MY RESEARCH? THIS b*****d ALMOST LANDED ON MY DESK."

Sent laughed a bit, relieved, "Yes hun, he's been saved. The god damn a*****e is going to die here in a minute though." He slowly began to descend, coming close enough so Tac was fully visible.

The Tormentor set Tac down on the ground and walked back over to his research. Tac was unconscious, and looked like hell, but a smile was clearly evident. His coat was torn up, slowly repairing itself, the harness that acted as a holster for Cari and Orcus was destroyed, along with all the ammo he had left. Orcus had been lost somewhere along the way, and Cari was nothing but a chunk of metal wrapped around his hand.

As they reached the ground he released Aetas, dropping him a few feet to the ground. He gently set down and set Mystina's feet to the ground before rushing over to Tac and tearing his limp form from the charred earth, smashing him up against the Tower. "WAKE UP YOU p***k!" It was no use, he was out cold. So, naturally, Sent began beating him against the side of the Tower, sending cracks up the side, and likely turning Tac's ribcage into splinters.

He continued smashing him into the wall, "HE. AL-MOST. KILLED. YOU." He dropped Tac's limp, broken form to the ground, satisfied for the moment knowing the b*****d would feel it all in reverse.
