Koichi stopped, his eyes staying ahead of him as he listened to her stammering. If she hadn't withdrew, he would have asked if she wanted something, but apparently it was instict.. or something [didn't i do that once? xD] After a moment, he turned around and looked down at her, smiling gently, before he bent down next to her. He slowly reached out towards her, before placing a hand near her cat ear and petting it gently with a finger. "Come now, Kitty,[xD]" he started, his voice gentle and soft, "you're not worried about all this, are you?" he inquired, waiting silently for a response.

Kana didn't look up, or move even. She expected him to keep walking, or be mad at her or something. She certainly didn't expect for him to stop and turn back around. As he sat beside her and touched her ear, it twitched and she jumped slightly in alarm before turning back and looking at him. She blinked a couple times, and then nodded her head very slightly. Though, her eyes began to close again as he pet her ear. She couldn't help feeling sleepy whenever someone did that. "...you're not mad at me?" she asked quietly, fighting back the instinct to start purring.

Koichi just grinned faintly, shaking his head. "Come on. How can I be mad at Kitty, my little sister?" he asked, slightly forcing the last words out, although he made certain that it sounded authentic[sp?]. After a moment, though, he sighed and pushed himself up before holding a hand out for her. "Come on, you shouldn't stay out here by yourself," he said softly, looking around to see if there even was anyone else out.

Kana nodded slowly and raised her head again, staring at his offered hand for a second. Then she slowly took it and got to her feet, though she dropped her gaze back to the ground. She returned, for a moment, to trying to figure out her feelings. Like, why had her ears drooped slightly when she'd been called his little sister? Did they usually do that? Her tail flicked sluggishly behind her, as if not energized enough to move as quickly as normal.

"Come on," Koichi said softly. Seeing that she was in thought, he kept hold of her hand before starting off back up the steps and down the halls; he didn't want her bumping into things while she tried concentrating on whatever it was she was. He didn't want to ask her about it, either, afraid of what she might say; although, he just didn't want to ask in truth. Elle choise à etre ma soeur, he thought, glancing around in wonder if any of the kids were still up.

Kana trailed after him, being tugged along if she began falling behind. She continued watching the ground as she went, her tail swinging slowly behind her and her ears drooping fully now. She was frowning very slightly and biting her lip as she thought things over to herself. She was really confused. She'd never experienced love besides between family and friends before. So, what did she think of Koichi as? She glanced up at him just for an instant before looking back at the ground. She didn't realize she'd begun squeezing his hand a little more firmly.

After a while, Koichi stopped outside her room, turning to her. "We're here," he said simply, nodding his head towards the door they stood infront of. He made no notion of knocking, not wanting to wake up Kazan. He didn't want to just leave right away; he wanted to make sure she went in, and he hoped she wouldn't transform and go around wondering again, just as she'd done the other/last night.

[Ah, ok. I had dinner so... it's ok. ^^;;]
Kana paused as well, still watching the ground and chewing nervously at her lip. Her ears drooped a little more, but then perked slightly as she glanced up at him. Then she looked back to the ground, and finally back up to him once more. Her eyes darted around a couple times, focusing on the door, and a bug that was flying past, before settling almost reluctantly upon his face. Her own flushed faintly red again as she tilted her head thoughtfully. "What's... it mean to love someone?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper. "What's it like?" She was talking about loving more than a friend, but she couldn't bring herself to specify. She was too embarassed that she'd actually asked. She quickly looked back to the ground again.

Koichi's head jerked back slightly, taken aback by the sudden question. He, however, broght a hand to the back of his head before rubbing it slightly. He exhaled, his eyebrows coming together slightly, forming a crease between. "I.. dont' know exactly. I mean, for me it means that I can't stop thinking about the person, but it's different for most people..." he trailed off, not sure how to explain. "Sorry that I can't really give you an explination," he said softly, slightly ashamed.

"It's... fine..." Kana said after a moment, frowning now as well as she began thinking to herself again, still watching the ground and still holding his hand. She just realized she hadn't let go yet, and this only made her face flush redder. She was beginning to think... that she didn't want to be his sister anymore. Maybe that's why it made her feel sad when he referred to her as one. Should she just come out bluntly and say it?

Koichi bit his lip before slipping his hand from hers; the silence that hung between them was chilling, and he didn't think it should stay like that. He bowed his head slightly before smiling weakly and starting towards his door, walking backwards. "I'll....talk to you tomorrow," he said softly before tunring around and walking straight.

Kana blinked, raising her head slightly as she felt him pull away. She almost wanted to reach out and grab his again, but manged to stop herself by instead gripping her locket. As he began walking away, her eyes followed, and then dropped back to the floor. "Y-yes..." she stammered quietly, bowing her head as her ears drooped further. She'd been about to say it but... she'd lost her courage to do so now. As he turned away, she set her hand on the door to her and Kazan's room, starting to open it as quietly as possible.
[Yes! Kana has to visit her mother's grave... sometime in August. xP]

Kazan just looked up from where her head had been obscured in pillow. "D'you guys... do anything you wanna tell me about?" she grinned, wanting to know every detail if there was any. She saw a slightly depressed Kana, though, so she just fiddled with the hem of her blanket. "Or you can fantasise[sp?] and dont' tell me... I dont' think I want to know anymore, anyway," she said, slightly put down as she pulled the covers over her head in defeat.
Koichi closed the door to his room, leaning against it before slumping down, his back against the cold, hard wood. He put his head on the tip of his knees, his eyes closed as the darkness of his room engulfed him, bitting at the edges of his clothes and hair, and his hands that lay limply next to his body. J'ai fou, he thought, J'ai dis[...? o.O i hate past tense in french ><] sa cette aimer.... His fingers curled inwards, tightening into a fist before he let them slowly loosen up, figuring there was nothign he could do about it.

[The grave? I was planning on making a hometown thread for Kana. xD;;]
Kana looked up at Kazan, giving an extremely weak, but apologetic smile as she saw the girl pulling the covers over her head. Then she silently crossed over to her bed, not bothering to change her clothing. She was just wearing shorts and a sleeveless shirt, so it wasn't worth it anyway. She sighed heavily, something she always tried not to do, since she believed it was her happiness escaping. Now definitely felt like a time she'd need to save all the happiness she could...
She bit her lip as she climbed into the bed, instantly hiding herself under the covers, pulling them over her head so not a bit of herself could be seen. She curled into a ball, both hands clenched around the locket at her chest, and her eyes shut tightly. She couldn't help thinking Koichi was mad, even if he claimed not to be. She'd destroyed their friendship within seconds. She bit her lip harder, trying to keep herself from crying.

[i'm skipping a few hours xD so you better be asleep ><;;]
Koichi placed his hand on the knob to Kazan and Kana's room, opening it slowly to make sure no sound emited from it, making sure the hinges didn't whine. He slowly crept in, watching for the loose floorboards of the floor, making his way over to Kana. He didn't want to wake her up, but he wanted to make sure she was sleeping and wasn't still worrying. After all, it'd been a few hours; although he didn't know her that long, Koichi did know that Kana had the tendancy to worry about things.
[i might be going early today; i dont' know, but I'm starting to become exhausted. must be my sleeping habits >< :goes to bed at like, 2, and wakes up at....w.e xD]
