Rosaline was awoken rather rudely to the feeling of a sudden collision. He sat up, the feeling of a wait - the other's legs - across his lap. He hurriedly detatched himself from the other and stood up, brushing off his skirts, his face flushed a bright crimson. He had never met any of the princes of the Kingdom of Death - as a matter of fact, he had avoided any contact with them that he could as a way to protect himself from his "destiny" - and so he did not recognize the older - well, older in looks, at least - man as being the heir to the throne. "I-I," he stuttered, his face bright red, "I'm sorry... I just... I fell asleep and..."

Kai stared at the young woman curiously. At least she appeared to be a woman, beautiful and slender and elegantly dressed, but her voice was a little huskier than he would have expected.
"No need to apologise." he said kindly "It was entirely my fault, I should have looked where I was going." he smiled a well rehearsed smile, the one he always wore at public appearances. "I don't mean to be rude, but do you work here? I don't believe we've met before."

((Pfft. Rosy's voice isn't husky. xD He was made with the intention of being the most wonderful woman. And he is. Except he's a guy. xDDD;;;; The only difference is he's flat and he has soemthing a woman shouldn't.))

"I... No, I don't really work here," he murmured, his voice soft. "I'm a dress-maker... I came to deliver the princesses' dresses for the midwinter festival," he explained, his face still brightly flushed. The sun and the air felt good on his skin - the first real meal he had received in quite some time - and that affected his mindset to put him in a peaceful and pleasant disposition. He was happiest when able to soak up both light and water. Water was easy enough... but the sun. The sun was a rare delicacy. The scent of roses seemed to fill the garden, the fragrence following the rose as it always did. There were very few, if any, roses in the kingdom of death's gardens.

"I see." said Kai who couldn't help but notice the strong scent of roses that filled the air. It couldn't be the rose bush as it was on the other side of the garden and it's flowers were few as it was late in the season. It must've been the woman's perfume or something, but whatever it was the young prince found it rather intoxicating and was unwittingly falling under it's spell. "So you're the one who provides the dresses. I must say that your work is...stunning."

"I... thank you," he mumbled, blushing. There was something... something different about this person than anyone else Rosaline had met. Unknown to him, it was his "curse" - his "destiny" - weaving its way into the boy's mentallity, making him like the other more and more by every moment. Rosaline had always tried to escape his curse - tried to be free of the fate of falling for the prince of Death - but he had always been drawn to the royal line. And now, unknowingly, he had met the prince and the spider-like webs of the curse were already taking a firm hold.

Kai smiled at Roseline's blush before he could stop himself. there was something very strange about this girl, that couldn't put his finger on. Something about her made him act completely out of character and it disturbed him.
"Might I ask your name?" he said softly and held out his hand. "My name's Kai." he refraied from saying his entire title. It was too long anyway and for some reason it didn't feel all that important.

"My name is Rosaline," he replied, holding out his own, small, gloved hand to shake. "It's very nice to meet you, Kai." Rosaline's skin was soft and pale, like that of a living China doll. But he fingers had imprints from hours upon hours of small stitching and needle work. He didn't want anyone to feel those indentions. They were ebmarrassing and... and his master had told him to wear gloves. It was unbecoming of a woman to have callussed hands. That thought about his master saddened his mentallity slightly, therefor affecting his expression, but he recovered quickly, a gentle smile spreading across his perfectly cherry-red lips.

He could feel the warmth of the other's hand through the soft fabric of the gloves. Suddenly making him disapointed that he could not touch the flesh that lay below. He looked up only to catch a small hint of sadness in Rosaline's face but only for a moment until that spellings smile returned, although it wasn't entirely convincing.
"Is there something wrong?" he asked, concern darting across his normally calm face.

"No," he replied, smiling softly and shaking his head so that his pink hair swished slightly from side to side. "Just... thoughts. Nothing too troubling." The other was still grasping his hand. ROsaline tried not to look down at their clasped digits, but it was hard. He... he had a hard time looking others in the eyes. He was a rose, not a human. He could never walk on their level. Why did his master have to create him with a conscious so that he could develope an inferiority complex?!

The beautiful being seemed to keep her eyes lowered demurely and the young prince found himself wishing that she would raise them. So few people had courage enough to look him in the eye and he understood their reasons. But at that moment he would have given anything to gaze into those deep peony eyes once again. He no longer seemed to realise how unatural it all felt, nor did he notice the sweet yet dark aura of magic that hung in the air like so much perfume. all that mattered were those eyes, that face, those lips. And before he knew it Kai had gently lifted her chin with a pale and trembling hand, his face moving ever closer to seal their fates...

Rosaline should have realised. He should have seen it in the other's eyes - that enchantment, the dulled bewitchment. But he didn't. All he knew was that the other's lips were pressed against his own. He swallowed against a slightly dry throat. He had never - not once, despite the tries of quite a few men - been kissed before. His heart was beating much too quickly and his face felt hot - very hot. But he found that he didn't care all that much. His hands moved of their own accord, raising to clutch at the material of the other's shirt. He didn't want to let go.

The intoxicating sensation of the rose's lips against his was almost too much for the prince. So soft and delicate that he dared not go any further but at the same time craved more.
He delighted at the feeling of the other's small hands gripping the folds of his shirt. Slowly, almost shyly he ran his tongue over Rosaline's lower lip, silently requesting entry as he noted how her lips tasted of rose water.

His lips moved softly, slowly against the other's, allowing the tall, dark-haired prince the entry he requested. Everything felt... soft... suspended, like one moment could stretch on forever. The scent of the garden was barely even recognisable now, it was so overpowered by the scent of sweet, heavenly rose. There was sunlight shining on the young rose, and rain had fallen recently. And his destiny was kissing him. The young, pink-haired seamstress was lost in bliss, unable to even for a moment question what was happening.

Kai was perfectly happy for the kiss to continue forever but suddenly a call from the other side of the garden broke him out of his trance and he was rudely brought back into the real world.

He recognised the voice, it was the voice of his tutor. His after noon off had seemed to have come to an end even though it felt like only minuted had passed, but he noticed that the sun was already hanging low and red in the evening sky. Reluctantly he broke away from the beautiful one's embrace.

"I'm afraid I must leave you." he said. "May I....May I see you again?"

He nodded softly, feeling a small pang at his heart as the other pulled away from him. His gaze was saddened at the prospect of having to leave the other. Why did the voice have to sound and break them from their dream?

Shyly and a little hesitantly, he leaned forward, on tip toe, and left a soft, brushing kiss on the other's jawline, near his ear. "I... I... would you like me to wait here...?" he murmured into the other's ear, his soft fluttering breath very warm.
