He looked at her when she said that but he looked at her gently, "I know that you do but when it comes down to it... I love you Kaylee... and you are the one piece of me that is truly human and I dont want to lose you or see you get hurt." He said softly, his hand flexed some, the metal making a slight noise but was generally good at being frictionless against one another. He lost both his arms and didnt want to lose anything else that helped him keep his humanity feeling. When they would proceed to walk around, he noticed the park portals as well and nodded, "Yeah, since some towns were built in certain structures, smaller parks were expected but if you wanted to go to larger parks, you could take the portal to a park outside of the town thats larger then the smaller one." He explained, it was alien tech that humans were able to stablize but he gently shrugged, "The worst thing thats happened is the side effect is that theirs a 5 percent chance that people who go through together swap bodies but besides that, their arent any side effects." He said casually as if that wasnt a odd thing but smirked and gently nudged her arm with his as if to indicate he was kidding, their were no side effects, "Actually, their are warnings not to go through them when their are solar flairs from the sun, some people end up in random fields when that happens but the portals have fail safes that spit people out before anything bad happens to them." He explained reassuringly.

When she smacked his arm and then immediately regretted it, he laughed lightly as he gently checked her fingers to make sure she didnt break them but he thought it over, "Yep, the price of innovation and exploration... for someone like you, still so much to explore but for me, its already known... I wish I could share everything but I dont think either of us have the energy or sanity." He said honestly but nodded as they would head back to get a ride home. As they were heading back home he laughed some, "When you seemed shocked by me messing with you, did you go "Omg!' Because you did or didnt want to switch bodies with me? I mean, despite the obvious, would you even want to be part cybernetic?" He asked not meaning them changing obvious bodies, it was the face she had 0 cybernetics in her body, she was pure human, why would she want to give that up.

He looked at her but then lightly laughed a bit as she spoke, "Okay first off, if we did switch, you would have may arms, yes you would have trouble working on them yourself but i would have your hands, which your fingers are smaller and much nicer to work with electronics. Second, im the one who would need to worry, dont forget, youre the one whose been kidnapped multiple times." He said softly as he pointed to his lap, "Yeah, its the one part of me that i still have thats human." He said simply as he looked at her but he slid over and gently put an arm around her, "Kaylee, I love you and no matter what, I will help you however I can." He said kindly letting her know she would be safe no matter what happened.

Cody smiled and went to go rest for the evening, but as the next day came, they had sat in front of a screen and looked at the canidates as Kaylee would question them but he looked at the 3rd canidate, a woman by the name of Jenna Holden which as Kaylee asked her questions, something stuck out to him. He interlaced his metal fingers as he leaned forward and looked back into her eyes, "Why were you only in the military for a few months? Were their complications? Were you too dedicated to the military, not enough dedication? Do you have any decorations?" He asked meaning medals. He was looking to judge her personality. Ever since his accident, he met other soldiers who required robotic prothetics due to combat and sometimes their service showed the persons will and personality.

Cody watched as Jenna spoke but then began speaking of a condition which he thought at first was a medical condition but instead found it was a contractual condition to Kaylee. Hearing what was said before Jenna ended it herself, he sighed leaning back on the couch, "She didnt even really answer my question... honestly i dont even know what happened at the last bit?!" He said as he looked at her as she rubbed her head but his metal hand gently rubbed her back, "I dont blame you, i have a chip in my head and even that made my head hurt." He joked a bit as he looked at her, "Its not that youre helpless... you have a big target on your back, youre famous, how does that count to being helpless?" He asked kind of annoyed at Jenna's words to Kaylee, which he was just being supportive yet protective of her as best he could think to do in the moment.

Cody's metal hand curled around hers as she took his hand but he gently gave a laugh, "Kaylee... youve given me more then you thought... now, lets put aside the fact that youre probably the richest and most famous woman in the world. Youre very kind and loving to fall in love with a man like me who was caught digging through old ruins and who would rather deal with robots then people. You show such interest in a world that to someone like me is so mudane andeven then, it allows me to see things different because of your view of wonder and amazement. Sure, things have happened, and i understand getting body guards but you dont have to fully change yourself or believe that you need to do everything you can to protect me. I will never leave your side, and i will always want to protect you even if you learned to be the ultimate warrior." He explained softly, "If you want to learn to defend yourself, then i wont stop you, but dont feel like you have to do it to prove anything. You are worth more then any money, any fame or any thing on this world or the next." He spoke sincerely to her.

Cody was concerned when she let go of his hands and would say that she needed time to herself. This made him worry but he allowed her to take all the time she needed. However it took a while and she even slept in the other room, in nothing but her towel but he made sure she had her privacy. However as he was getting ready to make dinner, he found that she walked out and sat at the table. As she spoke, he became nervous at what her decision was since if she ended up wanting to break up with him, he would support her fully still but would be heart broken at the least. However in his nervousness, Mia chimed, "Brother... why did your heart rate suddenly spike irradically?" She asked but he looked at her shocked a bit as he grabbed her and put her in a kitchen draw. A muffled 'hey' came from inside as he walked over and sat down, "So um... what did you decide on doing?" He asked nervously.

He looked at her as she spoke, listening to her as he seemed concerned but he nodded, "I understand, but please be careful. I want you to be safe but that women seems a bit... unhinged. Learn some self defense but if she begins getting odd with her teachings, please tell me." He said as he looked at her, you arent some damsel in my life, but i understand how you want to feel safe by being able to defend yourself." He said as he was nervous but she would be able to tell that he was supportive of her decision.
