Hemera peered over at Forera, forced control. Someone familiar. Thank god. "Perore. You're still up and moving! That's great." She continued moving with a grunt. "A lot of trolls have been passing out. Have you noticed? This has been rigorous. I'm not surprised that you made it. Hopefully we're close to the end; I know I can't keep this stamina up."
Mera paused. "If you have any bandages or know anyone else who does, please let me know. These burns are absolute hell."
More grunts, more efforts forward. It was easier, somehow, with someone else along, even for a minute. "Please call me Mera, though," she felt obligated to add.

ROUND 14
You can hear sounds filtering up, through the hollow sections of the space tower. Adult voices, and boots marching in unison - it sounds like backup has finally arrived! Their shouted words can't be heard, but maybe, just maybe, they're yelling words of encouragement at the trolls who helped them stay filled with morale throughout the entire competition. Or maybe they're just angrily fighting off bees coming out of doors.
MILESTONE ACTIVATED! Distribute 50 morale.
They'll catch up, you don't doubt, but what if they arrive too late? What if, whatever's counting down, hits zero first? You can make it there in time, you know it. If you can just ... get back up and keep going ...
All trolls gain a second wind.
Locations Italicized direction is the one that trolls arrived from.

Boss Attack
A horde of dormant builder droids lie in a crumpled pile before you. It looks like they'll remain inactive (and out of their defensive protocols) if you're quiet, but as soon as you step by there's the ominous sound of buzzing that reaches your spongeclots.
If you rolled a 1, the pile rustles, then scatters. Small blue LEDs in their beady eyes turn red as they lock onto you, and begin to pursue you with villainous intent. One may be easy to fend off, but these roach-like bots with their tiny grippers and saws can do heavy damage quickly in numbers! Take 3 dmg, and 2 damage each roll until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 2, you pass by a droid that grabs you by the ankle. It releases a terrible high pitched shriek, and suddenly the rest of the group is up in the air, buzzing near your head with deadly razor blades bared. Take 3 damage, and 1 damage each roll until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 3, a welding droid zaps you right in the rump! It pursues you relentlessly! Take 2 damage, and 1 damage each roll until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 4, the bots don't seem to awaken fully until you're half-way past them. Unfortunately, you manage to step right on top of one, which buzzes pathetically and alerts its mates. Take 4 dmg and deal +2 damage.
If you rolled a 5, you slip past carefully, and the only droids that take flight are sluggish in their movements, eyes yellow. When you get them in a secluded area you beat them into submission! Take 3 damage and deal +2 damage.
If you rolled a 6, you alert the bots but manage to fend them off valiantly for your team! Breaking off the sounding alarm of one of them seems to jam their systems, and as they buzz around in violent confusion you bat some of them out of the air. Take 2 dmg. Your attack does double damage.

Was this how he died?
Trapped in a half finished construction tower, alone and surrounded by machines? Tired eyes looked up at the ceiling, scanning it in weak fascination to distract himself from the exhaustion and pain flooding through his entire body. The only comfort he felt was the rise and fall of his lusus's chest against his side. Footsteps came and went across the room, battling through the bots as a small band of misfits charged through towards the other side. He curled tightly into a ball, not wanting to be seen. Not like this.
Was this the end of his story?
Cerpin had barely scratched the surface of everything he'd dreamed of. Performing on a stage someday with a small group of bandmates. Traveling through space to find a place where he belonged. Sharing a drink with his best friends at his very own business. Regrets swam through his thinkpan like a dark deep ocean.
Was this all he was capable of?
"They taught me so much. What a waste." His pulse quickened, angry with himself. Byakko had given him a cause to fight for, something noble that made his life mean something instead of playing the part of a frivolous cog in the machine. Without her guidance, he probably would've spent his life looking down on all the trolls below him, the trolls he had grown to love today. Forera had taught him forgiveness and passion that night in the hut above the swamp. That emotions could fuel you instead of getting in your way. Keionx had trained his body to fight and sharpened his instincts on those nights sparring by the river. Some disciple he'd turned out to be, falling through every trap laid in front of him. And Tevini had taught him affection, caring for someone besides himself. The feeling of someone who shared his dreams and walked next to him on the path towards them. Only, he was too weak to keep going.
You're useless. She was right. Cerpin let out an anguished yell and his nails dug into the floor. Purple streaked his face and he made no effort to stop it anymore.
He broke down.

"Please let us be close!" Tevini pleaded the air once more. Her legs were jello and she ran on pure adrenaline now. So much was riding on this! Her new companion's attitude helped with morale a bit at least. Trying to jump another pile of droids, she failed and struggled to cover her face from any blades shoved in her direction. Scuttle had gotten his second wind, however, and slammed straight into the droids. Reinvigorated, he skated around the area, slamming into everything. Trolls weren't the only ones who could tell time was running out! With everything on the line, Scuttle ignored the ache in his back and his legs. He would do anything to ensure they could keep moving.
"Um, yeah, watch out for Scuttle!" Tevini squeaked out a warning to Caiden, realizing he might get caught in the crossfire if he wasn't cautious. Hopefully he wasn't freaked out by Scuttle's sudden rampage there.
Caiden is attacking Half-constructed Tower and going up If you rolled a 6, you alert the bots but manage to fend them off valiantly for your team! Caiden had hope. There was a chance Engrav would be okay, and Tevini and Forera and everyone! They just had to find what was so weird and crazy about this building, then it would all be okay. Caiden picked out something with a little more pep. "The wheels on the bus go round and round. Round and round. Round and round. The wheels on the bus go round and round. All 'round the town" It was a good song, a song the boy tended to go to when he was busy hopping around Busthide mountain. The song brought back sweet memories of carefree fun.
She didn't know how long she'd been sitting there, sobbing into her hands, before the tears stopped coming. Everything ached, sharp and dull alike, and her foot in particular was a constant throb. She'd lost a lot of blood, she was losing more with every beat of her bloodpusher, but she wasn't dead yet. And she wasn't ready to die. Not here, not alone. The mask was delicately returned to its place. Then she heaved herself to her feet, leaning against a wall for support with a unsteady whine, and began to walk, step by bloody step. There'd be no more getting lost at least, she thought, not with that trail of orange along the way.
Poe paused for a moment, before waving Mahmud to come a bit closer. Rastin (he guessed that was the purpleblood's name, who was also in the hall, because Mahmud called to him as well) seemed far enough away he wouldn't see, but just in case. Poe lifted his goggles onto the top of his head, revealing his small, inwardly curled horns covering his eyes. Quickly, Poe wiped underneath the horns, removing the built up tears with the back of his metal hand. "So, this is really me," he whispered. "I didn't mean to lie, but you're my friend so I didn't want to keep lying, especially if, something, happens,"he said, glancing toward the exits anxiously. "I hope you're not mad... "
Akkira rubbed her Lusus cold, slimy skin with a bit of worry. She used the water from the water bottle she had been gotten before entering the tower to keep her lusus hydrated This desert really dried her out and that wasn't good. But other than that she didn't really do much for her lusus, not wanting to come off as too helpful towards her lusus. The mouth on Tekemom's stomach mouth leaked saliva as she caught her breath, after several minutes of this she hoisted herself up. Once up, she pat Akkira's head with her second set of tiny arms and then nudged her to move forward
Even if Tekemom did not approve of the reliance of others, she refused to leave a task unfinished and pushed onward with her charge.
Outrunning robots was out of the question in her state, but if she paid enough attention she could swipe them out of the air before they did too much damage. It was all relative now, really. She was a bundle of wounds, moving only because she couldn't bear to welcome death sitting down. She'd make it to the other side of this corridor whether the robots liked it or not. And eventually she did just that. She just couldn't be sure where everyone else had gone. Would she even make it to them before it was too late?

Nictor is going right!

After having tripped on a body, Nictor checked it out only to fine it was Kolako discarded on the floor.
His breath had caught for a few, feeling numb and strange at the sight of the redblood laying like a discarded rag on the floor. He was too emotionally exhausted to really sink into his usual level of panic, that last near miss with Bee having taken the last bit out of him. His nerves had been fraying all night and it was like the sick feeling he'd been suffering was just replaced with a strange numb sensation.
Seeing Kolako lay there though made his skin crawl. Was she dead?
It was all he could think of for a moment. This was the lively redblood that saved him from a carnivorous plant, that gave him a handful of flowers just the other day, that had gleefully greeted him. She'd been alive in every sense of the word as Nictor knew it and now...
Nictor reached forward hesitantly, cautious like he was reaching for a snake. Trembling fingers connected with the redblood's neck and he flinched, expecting something to strike his hand, but nothing happened. Nictor sat there for a second, stunned at his own audacity. He'd never really actually chosen to touch another troll before.
He'd never had the occasion but he needed to know if she was dead.
He really hoped she wasn't.
Nictor gently and uneasily felt for a pulse. He knew enough to be able to find that at least, though it was weird to take another troll's pulse and not his own. what mattered was her skin was still warm and there was a gentle thrum in her wrist. A tension he hadn't quite registered seemed to melt away and his hand limply slid away from Kolako.
Bee rested nearby, chittering comfort at his little grub, observing as Nictor sat tensely and stared worriedly at the redblood.
What was he supposed to do? What are you supposed to do when someone is nice to you and saves you and you feel nice to be near them and find them passed out? Nictor wasn't exactly experienced in this situation. and no matter what, Kolako was still a troll and inherently it made some part of Nictor uneasy. So, Nictor sat uneasily beside Kolako, fiddling with the tear in his shoe and watching her face for a sign of change. He was making soft chittering noises just to fill the air, the same kind of thrum of noise that always soothed him. If he had a blanket, maybe he'd put that on her.
Well. Cuddling with Bee always made him feel safe and calm. But she was passed out, she didn't need comfort, did she? What comfort would he offer anyway?
Nictor sat there, one hand resting indecisively nearby as he watched for any sign of stirring.
He could always continue on, but, he felt wrong at the thought of leaving Kolako here after finding her. Especially like this. He frowned a little, thinking how the floor was so hard and uncomfortable and that couldn't be good on her neck. in the middle of considering taking off his hoodie and putting it under her head, mechanical noises began to echo threateningly in the air.
Oh no, not these things again. Nictor didn't want to see any more droids or trollbots.
Nictor looked back at Kolako, still out cold, and felt a sense of dread. What... what should he do? Did he try and carry her? no, he felt so tired already and it would be no help to her if he tripped and she cracked her head off the ground. And Bee wasn't in any kind of good state and he didn't think they had time to maneuver her up onto the buzzbeast. Nictor grimaced and glanced down the hall as the noises began to grow louder and closer.
Stumbling to his feet, Nictor got as good a grip on Kolako as he could and half carried, half dragged her closer to the wall, tucking her against some steel beams, hidden in the shadows. What if they found her? She'd be out cold. He hoped they didn't find her.
Nictor stood still for a moment, looking at the redblood. She really was defenseless. She couldn't even run. But... but if there was one thing Nictor could be relied on, it was for booking it when things got bad. so, time to our that to use then. The droids were already coming this way anyway.
Bee was already raising himself into the air, clicking at his little grub. Nictor was tired and dazed and worried for Bee, e was so worried for Bee, but he was worried for Kolako too. Nictor swallowed and did something he hadn't really ever done before.
It was time to try and be brave. Or at least what passed as brave for him. Bee could fly. bee and him could run but Kolako couldn't do a thing.
Nictor screamed. At the top of his lungs and ow he could already feel that damage to his throat but damn if it didn't get the attention of every last droid that was coming towards them. And oh wow those were really loud there had to be so many and nope it was time to leave.
Bee was clicking more frantically and met Nictor halfway, both grabbing tight to each other, immediately taking off. hopefully that would be enough because now Nictor had just Bee to worry about again and he was not in a good state at all.

No time for socializing, she finally got Tekemom up and going, it was time to get to the end of this shitty tower and finally get whatever prize they deserved and to find anyone other than her lusus to be around. She didn't want to be anywhere near that thing that was called her lusus and the sooner she was out of earshot the better, however... she also knew that there was no way she could take it on herself. It sucked being so weak, from that moment on Akkira vowed to get stronger so that she no longer needed her lusus and no one else for that matter.

Recalling the last time she let Rianon skip through a field of dormant robots, Crowma quickly yanked the girl back onto her. She wasn't going to risk it. Opting to creep through the room herself, the lusus quickly found out that big creaking talons were no better for sneaking. Another robot burst to life, grabbing the lusus and sending a shock through the treebeasts body. Already tired with the ordeal, she did a quick sweeping motion over the room with her vines, decommissioning the bulk of the bots as she went down herself.

Rianon shrieked and covered her face in shock as suddenly she was twirling around on her lusus back. The bots seemed to come out of nowhere, but Crowma had it covered...right? Ri had thought so, until her lusus collapsed once again. Quickly hopping off her back, Rianon went to stroke her parents beak. "I know it's been hard Crowma. I know you've done a lot, so much! But I think we're almost done. If ya could just hold out a little longer for me. Please?" she pleaded, compassion in her voice mixed with determination. Crowma lay there for a few moments, gathering herself before finally nodding. The lusus got back up, digging her talons into the metal floor as she asserted that she was indeed not yet done.

Forera dealt 6 damage. Forera is going UP.
Forera followed after her busted up roomie blindly, trusting her with directions from how intensely tired she was. Letting out a loud groan when she saw the bots, Forera simply unleashed one last burst of energy and attacked everything in her path with no mercy. After one last kick toward the last bot, Forera felt her body slump against the wall before she eventually stayed, tired. Maybe she could take a short nap...?
