Mirai smiled into her kiss with Texas and continued kissing him for a moment or two before pulling away to speak "I love you too. Very much," she replied as she moved a hand in his hair.

[Timeskip] During their time together, Mirai and Texas had moved their way from the shower to the bedroom. About an hour later, Mirai lay close to Texas under the blankets, her eyes closed. She was tired. The spell she had cast to send everyone home had taken a lot out of her. With that and everything else, she was very tired and was glad to be home and with someone she cared about.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas was awake, watching Mirai quietly. He could tell she had been through a lot and he was glad she was safe and sound back home. He reached out and stroked a bit of her hair quietly. He had meant what he said: he would be by her side no matter what. He didn't know what it was like to go through what she was going through, but he would make sure she got through it. For the time being he would set aside what he was feeling for her sake. And I just want to show them.

A small smile appeared on Mirai's face as Texas stroked her hair. She moved closer to him and wrapped her arms around him. "How are you doing?" she asked quietly as she embraced him.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas embraced her back. "I'm alright," he replied equally as quietly. The bed they slept in was really comfortable; he had to give Mirai props for creating it. She was soft too. He hugged her gently. "How are you?" And I just want to show them.

Mirai smiled slightly as she kept her eyes closed. "I am doing well. Way better than I was a few days ago..." she replied as she enjoyed being against Texas. Mirai shifted slightly and rested her forehead against his scar.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas put his hand over the back on Mirai's head, smiling down at her. "Good," he replied quietly. "You deserve a break after all this. Let's make sure we build a good future." He leaned down and kissed her on the top of her head before leaning back into the pillow. "We're off to a good start. You have control of your powers, your own realm. Each other. We're not doing too bad are we?" He asked with a smile. And I just want to show them.

Mirai continued to smile and nodded as she leaned against Texas still. "We are off to a very good start," she agreed. She yawned quietly and felt herself sinking into the bed.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas held Mirai quietly as he could tell she seemed to be growing more and more tired. His smiled faded and he looked away, his own thoughts beginning to come back and bother him. He swallowed and closed his eyes, trying to block them out but he knew he couldn't. "You'll be okay," he said quietly, though it wasn't clear whether he was talking to Mirai or himself. And I just want to show them.

Mirai inhaled deeply and nodded. For the first time in a while, she felt rather calm and comfortable and being near Texas made that feeling grow. Suddenly she felt something and she opened her eyes, looking up at Texas "Are you alright?" she asked with a puzzled expression. She had been connected with Texas telepathically for so long that she began to develop something of a sixth sense. She could tell something wasn't right with him.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas sighed. "Well if all that stuff future Mary told you is true....The Machinists still exist. And maybe even Saint Clara. What if she has another trick up her sleeve when it comes to me? What if there's something else inside my head that messes me up? I have no idea what she did to me...." His expression changed slightly though it was clear now that he was really stressed out about this. "Do you have any idea how much it sucks, walking around not being sure if your mind will be your own because someone out there messed with it?" It wasn't just this, but Texas felt personally responsible for the things Mirai had gone through at the hands of The Machinist Order. He had found her for them after all. And I just want to show them.

Mirai watched Texas as he spoke, keeping one hand on his chest still. Eventually she spoke "I can't imagine what it is like. I am sorry you have to deal with that. I will help you though. If the Machinists come back again, I'll be there to back you up. Same goes for if Saint Clara is still out there," she explained. "I highly doubt there is anything else in you. I didn't see anything and you clearly defeated your other self." Mirai gently traced her finger on his scar again. "We can find Mary. Talk to her too to see if she knows anything else. I will be with you on this no matter what though," she explained.
