O.o; After that, Jay made a mental note to keep the wastebasket closer to the bed. "All right then." He said "Anything special you want to do today?" The pair had just recently finished touring every part of the castle, and they'd already seen all that the clan had to offer. For once it seemed like there was nothing to do... sweatdrop

She laid down and took Jay's hand, putting it on her stomach. "That's a good sign. It's supposed to mean I'll feel kicking soon" she beamed. She'd never gotten this far before.

"Hm..." Jay said as he put his hand on her stomach and felt, unable to feel anything. Then a few seconds later he felt a little kick and his eyes widened with excitement "Pale...have a feel. It's kicking..I think" sweatdrop

It was so light now that it didn't hurt her yet, but she could feel it. She grinned back and pulled Jay into a kiss.

Jay kissed back, glad the kicking wasn't hurting her in any way. He closed his eyes some and wrapped his hands around her waist. Finally...a sign of life. This one was alive. It was possibly the best news he had ever had...especially in the last few months.

Rivven came up to the castle cautiously, looking around, and examining the place. It was certainly large, not as tall as the castle where he'd been kept, but it was bigger base wise. Then again, if you counted everything within the castle walls and not just the castle its self... that had probably been a bit larger than this one. He lifted a hand slowly, and then forcefully knonked at the gate three times, and took as step back to see if he'd get a response, buttoning up his coat's collar against a cold breeze. Well... I hope this goes well. If they try to throw me out because of this... well, they certainly have right to. At least I'm more presentable now than the first time I encoutered Miss Pale. Geez, now that I think about it that's two women in a week I've ended up shirtless in front of, two fights I've come out of beaten up, and a date tonight... this place is certainly more eventful than I'm used to.

Pale heard the knock at the door, and slowly opened her eyes. It was the late afternoon...how long had they been asleep? Well, her recent energy highs and crashes were messing with her body (now that the child was feeding off the ki, she could never predict when she would have a supply of easy energy). She got up and fumbled for her robe. Five minutes later she was ready. Still in a good mood, a very pregnant Pale answered the door "Hey there! Rivven! So how can I help you here? Actually" she lowered her voice "I better keep it down, Jay's still sleeping."

"Oh, alright, sorry to bother you." He answered, bowing briefly at the waist. "First of all Miss Pale," He said in a hushed voice, "I wanted to thank you for letting me stay here, I'm coming to like this place better as I get to know it, and for giving me a hand when I was injured. With that said..." He spoke, looking down at the floor and breaking the eye contact he had resolved to make more often when he spoke to people from now on, "I thought there was something important you should know as head of this clan. From what I've seen, this may not be so much a shock as I thought it might... or that you would be completely unprepared... but I may be setting everyone here in danger so long as I remain..." He said, forcing out the words calmly, staring at the floor with anger meant for his former captors. "There will be more people who will come after me, probably more dangerous than the one you found me hurt after an encounter with. They may just come after me and you might all be safe if you don't try to stop them... but they may decide to eventually bring a war this direction. It's... a large socioty of sorts that is after me, or was, but they've conquered a smaller nation... so if they decide I am important enough to merit more attention... they could try to bring forces here in mass. Please, Miss Pale, I want you decide without myself in mind; if you ask, I will leave you all and avoid this predicament. I don't wish to endanger anyone. I thought I should let you what danger my presense could mean if it draws attention this way. I will do whatever you ask of me, I will not stay if you do not wish it to be so." He carefully avoided showing sadness on his face. Whatever it may mean for him, he wanted what was best for these people before he worried about himself. Causing death would be no better than killing. And he didn't want to kill anymore. I'm not their assassin anymore! I'm free! Why must they hunt me down, damn them... He continued to glare at the ground, and his hands tightened in fists until the knuckles turned white, but he didn't notice.
((This sounds a lot dumber now than it would have... but I decided to get it all out in one post rather than drawing it out over several. This is probably all unessesary... but with his backstory and personality I thought it nessesary. Don't worry though, I wouldn't bring any sort of a "war" inot the clan, not unless someone asks for it... which I sincerely doubt any one would, and that's fine with me. It would be really time consuming, and a lot of unessesary trouble.))

((One user here wants even a civil war in the clan. I'd be alright if it was real.))
Her brows pressed together, and she shok her head. "No Rivven! You've been accepted here, do you know what that means? We can't let you go like that, not if you were in trouble. This clan...they would fight to the death for you, even if they had never met you before. We've all had our dark pasts to escape from. It would be an abomination to throw another to the wolves. We want you to stay here, and as long as you do, you have the clan's full protection."
His story worried her. She would have been a full to completely overlook it. But her words held the center of her beliefs, that once someone was in they were like family, and throwing Rivven out to such a fate was clearly unacceptable.

((Someone wants a civil war? Who and why? I mean, that could be greatly interesting for a short while, but I can see it quickly causing problems and getting annoying.))
Rivven frowned for a long moment, then smiled wearily. "That's... much more than I could ask of you all. That's too kind of you..." He shook his head and forced himself to look her in the eyes, trying to be calm. "If that's what you want then, that is what I agreed to do." He laughed, half weariness, and half relief, a tired and unjovial laugh. "I'll stay. This I cannot thank you enough for. I'll... try to find something I can do to make this up to you all." He said, laughing quietly still, and then trying to straighten himself up, and get ahold of his emotions, which must have been what was making him act oddly. "I... I hadn't noticed you were pregnent when I saw you before. Good news, hopefully. Well, sorry to bother you again. Good luck." He bowed again, and took a step back as if to leave, but waited incase there was something left she wished to say. Or ask, more likely.

((I'm wondering if they'll back down, that's why I'm not giving out a name))
Pale had learned the hard way not to pry too far. It must have been difficult for him to confess that much to her, althought it was very responsible of him. "You don't need to make it up to me, but I do appreciate the thought. I think you'll fit in well here." she didn't know how well, especially not that he was going on a date right after this. About the baby "It's on accelerated growth because it will be a chakra user. And yes, it's extremly good news for me now." everyone saw that and assumed the worst, she found it refreshing that he didn't.

((Yes, I can understand that. It was wrond of me to ask anyway. But I do wonder why, if not just that immediate thrill of pvp, before it pretty much would wreck the guild.))
"Thank you... I don't know about that, but I'll try, certainly." he said, running a hand absently through his messily parted white hair. He had no idea how he was supposed to go on mentioned date, or even deal with people in more common ways really, but would have to try to figure out a way to act. He had as much lack of social experience as he had skill in it. "Well, how many people here use chakra? I know where I came from-" Where I come from, where I was born and grew up before I died. Where was it? I don't know, but somehow I remember this much is true. "- chakra was always a bit more commonthan other magics, but it seems a bit of an unusual thing here. It never accelerated our growth though, not noticably anyway. If it is lacking on fellow chakra users here thoug..." He said, cosidering it, "I could always help it learn, though I don't know how long it'll be until the child is old enough, even with that. It wouldn't be a trouble, and even if you insist that I don't need to pay back my debt, it would feel nice to be of some use here."

"No one here ever started out with Chakra. Aes, Wedsday, Morgan and myself use Ki. Just about everyone else uses mana. The father of the child is a mana user and that's why the kid will end up with chakra. Because it's built for that system it has a larger energy capacity than we have. It demands more from me and since ki is pure energy then it uses it up. Ki users are encoraged not to use too much because it ages them. The baby doesn't know that and takes as much as it wants. All I can do is concentrate on building up my own ki for it to use." It felt wierd to explain it, and she was sure she had left something out "I would be very grateful if you would help him or her. The last child born here was a druid, and he is going to receive training for that from Ultima."

He smiled and nodded, turning slowly away. "Alright then. That makes sense, I just didn't know anything about ki really. In anycase, go ahead and contact me when the child is ready for some lessons, or if there's-" he flinched a tad, "-anything else I should know about. I don't spend much time in the men's lodgings, but if you send a message to my dorm, I'll probably get it by the end of the day. Once again, you have my thanks." He bowed again, and left.

She wondered why he had flinched, but shrugged it off. "By then, we'll see eachother soon I think." she closed the door and gave off a yawn. Ebergy wasn't too high or too low. Absolutly perferfect for her right now. "Jay?" she whispered, and dissapeared up the stairs.
