"Good job! See what could happen if you could just listen to me?" Valarie luaghed and blocked a startled pidgey from flying into her. "Just keep using that, okay?"
Fois nodded slightly and continued to use Echoed Voice.
A particularly big and scary looking pidgey flew through the crowd and straight for Sienna. Skylar, though busy fighting his own pidgey, noticed this larger bird headed straight for his trainer. He had to do something! So he quickly fled from the two birds he was fighting to throw up a barrier between Sienna and the larger bird.
The Protect screen successfully blocked the scary looking pidgey, and Sienna sighed with relief. "That one looked nasty, good job buddy!" Sienna praised her swablu. Skylar was also relieved. If that hadn't worked, that pidgey looked like it would have done some serious damage to his trainer. Another pidgey, much less intimidating at least, dove for Sienna. Skylar attempted another Protect screen, but knew the trick wouldn't work forever.
Protect had failed him the second time, but at least he was between Sienna and the other bird, taking most of the damage for his trainer. He charged up another Ice Beam and let loose at the oncoming birds.
Yes! Another pidgey successfully scared away. They were doing alright, a little over halfway to the balloon basket now! Skylar dove at another pidgey, beak ready to peck.

His opponent swiftly dodged his peck attack, and Skylar was nearly knocked to the floor by the other bird. Luckily he was able to stay airborne and swooped around for another attack.
