Mirai continued to walk towards Vincent. "Vincent, you need to control yourself... if you don't then your madness will devour," she told him. She frowned again as she heard her brother "Vincent... I am very sorry... Truly I am. When Shira told me what happened, I was a wreck... and I didn't know what to do. I messed up. I ended up not seeing you both because I was ashamed that I couldn't save all of you..."
In a blink of an eye, using her time freezing ability, Mirai stopped time again and continued walking to Vincent. Since she was still resonating with Texas, he was able to see this ability in full effect. She stopped in front of Vincent before stopping the flames that were coming out of her weapon and wrapping her arms around him in a hug, the advice the future Vincent she had met going through her head as time went forward again. "I remember when mom told me that she was pregnant with you..." Mirai started as she hugged her brother. She recalled how bad her madness was when she was in the same emotional turmoil as Vincent. That wouldn't happen to him. Mirai would make sure of it. "I was really happy... I remember being so excited that I would have a younger brother or sister. Someone I would be able to train with and talk to. Dad had just left.... and I felt very lonely at the time... and hearing that I would soon have a younger sibling helped me a lot. I made a promise the day mom told me about you that I would love you and protect you no matter what. And I will keep that promise even if you hate me... because you are my family and you mean the world to me," she explained, a look of remorse on her face as she spoke. "I am so sorry... if I could I would go back and save all of you..."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Once more, Mirai would use a strange ability that allowed for her to appear right before him, this caught Vincent off guard and so did the hug. Listening Mirai speak, Vincent's mind became more clear, more stable. Her words and actions were beginning to get through to the boy's mind, calming him down and letting him fight back the madness before it could take him. Once she had finished speaking, Vincent would raise his arms and wrap them around her, hugging her back. "Mirai" he muttered. "Why did this have to happen?" he asked. "How did we end up like this? We were supposed to be the best of friends. I wanted to be just like you and brother. I wanted to be strong and relied upon like the two of you." This would be the first time Mirai would come to understand her brother and what he was truly feeling. "But, the more I heard about how special you were, how important you would be, I grew jealous. I envied your strength and reputation. So much so, that my love and admiration grew into hatred and sorrow." Vincent's mood seemed to have calmed down a bit, his soul wavelength became a lot more stable, but the madness, the madness would be steadily increasing by the second. "Soon, I began to blame you for all the misfortunes that have happened to this family, because of the people that were targeting you and brother's death was what drove me over the edge. Then, before I knew it, I became consumed by my own powers and took this appearance, but now I see that everything that's happened, was not your fault, it was my own." Vincent's embrace on his sister would suddenly increase, "No matter what happens next. Just know that, I really do love you, Mirai-oneesama." For the first time in a very long time, Vincent would tell his sister he loved her and show her the proper respect by addressing her as his senior, but Mirai would soon realize something was wrong. Vincent's hold grew tighter and tighter, as his madness rose. Suddenly and without a hint of hesitation, Vincent would sprout hundreds of black spikes all over his body, most of which would stab Mirai through the abdomen over ten times, while Vincent's face was expressionless. "So, please....kill me and let me finally set myself free from this family, this curse." he whispered before stabbing her over and over again with the spikes.

Mirai smiled slightly as Vincent hugged her back and began explaining everything. She felt relief as it seemed that was it. But then that relief disappeared as something didn't feel right. Mirai was about to speak but was interrupted by Vincent stabbing her through the torso. She coughed up quite a bit of blood, her eyes wide as she heard the last thing Vincent said. Mirai seemed to go limp for a moment or two before her wavelength suddenly skyrocketed. A telekinetic blast activated and launched Mirai backwards with Texas still in her hand. She stumbled slightly due to the gaping holes in her body which soon began to close due to her rapid wavelength increase. It continued to increase until it seemed to reach Mirai's maximum power. The flames reappearing on Texas and swirling around her in response. Her injuries finished healing and Mirai raised her head to stare at Vincent. Her expression was neutral but she had a rather sharp and intimidating glare in her eyes as she stared at her younger brother. "You are disappointing..." she began before a wave of flames charged at Texas. "That's all you have to say? You want me to end whatever 'suffering' you have been through because of this 'curse'? Pathetic," she asked before another wave of flames launched at Texas. The ground below them both seemed to melt away due to the increasing heat. "I have bad news for you. What you have experienced isn't even the worst the world has to offer. This family isn't cursed. This is you being a brat because you aren't getting what you want. You want to be strong? Actually train and find your power. Don't sit around doing nothing but complain about how life is so hard for you and blame your own weaknesses on others," She explained before launching a third wave of flames.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As Mirai released another telekinetic blast, to free herself from his grip, Vincent would be knocked backwards and collided headfirst into a large tree. Standing up, the boy's head would be bleeding, but other than that, he showed no other sign of injury. However the look on his face remained the same, blank. Even as Mirai released her maximum power, which had enough force to cause the entire area around them to shake, he showed little fear, it was like he wanted her to do this, he wanted her to kill him. However, Mirai would start speaking to him, calling him a disappointment and pathetic. As she spoke, Mirai kept feeding more and more power into Texas, increasing the boy's flames to the point that the ground below the duo began to melt. "Live your life in the shadow of another. Live your life constantly being reminded that you are the disappointment in the family. That you were lucky to be born." he shouted. "Then you would understand my pain. Then you would see that living any further is meaningless." Vincent was admittedly, intimidated by Mirai's true power. He had never experienced this kind of strength before, he was afraid, was this truly his sister? Is she really this strong? Vincent could see now that she was way out of his league, no amount training would ever help him to reach her level, but something inside of him, was telling him to fight her. Telling him to go all out, this was one thing that most of Divine's children shard, a desire to fight an opponent who was superior. That was what was happening now, Vincent wanted to fight Mirai, to the death, even though he knew he was the one that would be killed. "If I am to die, then let it be by the same hands as the one who killed our father." Vincent shouted, almost trying to make Mirai even angrier.

Mirai launched a wave of flames at Vincent. She gritted her teeth "You don't think I know what any of that is like?! I was expected to be like dad! Hell, people still look at me and think I am going to blow up half the damn city! I have been called a disappointment by dad and even brother has looked at me like I am not fit to be here! I have almost died several times because, before I was born, all the crap going on with Dad caused my soul to be severely damaged. That caused my hair to turn white what does that say?!" She snapped as the ground around her continued to melt to the point where lava was appearing. Her glare intensified as Vincent made the comment about her killing their dad. "If you think I am going to kill you, you are damn wrong... " she hissed under her breath. Her eyes glowed and she launched a huge telekinetic blast at Vincent.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It took nearly all he had in order to stop Mirai's flames from hitting him, as Vincent took a page from Mirai's book and created a telekinetic barrier around himself, which just barely managed to protect him from the waves. The moment the waves of flames hit, the barrier cracked, but Vincent would manage to pour his madness into the barrier, making it sturdier, therefore allowing it to withstand the attack. "Mirai, you are so much stronger than me. Even you have to admit that, despite all of the hardships you've been through, you manage to come out stronger and more confident in yourself." Vincent would say before hearing her last words, "You know, this is the longest we've ever spoken to each other." he commented before trying to create another barrier to stop her next attack, but could not do so. So he would take her blast head on. The blast sent Vincent spiraling backwards once more and into the base of a large tree. On the outside, the blast didn't appear to do much damage, but internally, Vincent had a few broken ribs and ruptured organs. Somehow making his way to his feet, Vincent stared over at his sister before spitting up blood. "I-I won't stop until you end me!" he shouted before using his darkness powers to teleport in front of Mirai. Creating a sword out of thin air, Vincent swung it, but not at Mirai. No, he was aiming at the one thing she would kill to protect, her beloved partner. "This won't end until I'm dead." he stated as he aimed to break Texas in half.

Mirai continued to glare at her brother though she didn't say anything. Then he teleported and made what was probably the worst mistake of his life. Mirai realized right away what he was about to do and quickly moved and sent a roundhouse kick to his face, blasting him backwards. Using just her speed alone, Mirai appeared above Vincent and slammed him into the ground. With the mix of her at full power as well as her body being enveloped by flames from Texas, her attacks would definitely cause more than just a few bruises. "Stop thinking like that!" she shouted before before she continued hitting her brother, kicking him, launching telekinetic blasts and the occasional wave of fire. "Do you have any idea how much I have wanted to end myself?! How long I wanted to just die because I thought things would be better if a freak like me didn't exist?! Do you know how crappy it felt to be training with you and brother and having be ignored most of the time?! Why?! Because I was actually with someone that made me not want to end myself and instead of being happy that I was happy, you all just continued to look at me with looks of spite and disappointment!" Mirai shouted as she tossed her brother around like a rag doll.
Suddenly she realized what she was doing and stopped, her wavelength dropped and she let Vincent lay there. Even though she lashed out at him, Mirai didn't aim for any lethal blows. Mirai panted heavily as she walked over to Vincent "Mother loves you. Brother loves you. Father would too... Even I... and yet...." she said, her voice quieter now. "Don't end up where I was. Don't think that you are nothing and deserve death. There are people that need you... and you have so much potential... and yet you beat yourself and hurt yourself..."
Mirai frowned down at her brother again "You won't surpass me at all unless you train and find what you are fighting for. If getting stronger for the sake of the ones you care about won't work then get stronger in order to beat me. I want you to surpass me. I dare you to. Use that to feed your desire for strength, and you will grow strong." The flames around Texas dispersed and Mirai glanced at the area covered in scars from their more one sided fight. She turned then and began walking away from Vincent "I don't want to see your face again until you learn what strength is and that you aren't simply born with it..."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Before his strike could land on Texas, Vincent found himself being kicked in the face by Mirai, causing the boy to be knocked backwards. The pain felt was incredible, the boy would hold on to his face as he was in midair, completely oblivious to the fact that Mirai, using her speed, had just appeared above him and using all her might, slammed the boy into the ground. Vincent would hit the ground with a powerful thud, creating a small crater beneath him. As this happened, Vincent coughed up blood, as the impact caused more of his organs to be ruptured. What followed next was a brutal, one sided beat down. Mirai would unleash all her anger and frustration upon her brother, landing powerful kicks and punches, followed up with waves of flames and telekinetic blasts. Once she felt that she had done enough, Mirai tossed Vincent over on the ground, his body burned, beaten and bruised. The boy looked like he had been through hell and yet he was still conscious and able to move. Managing to slink to his feet, Vincent stared over at his sister, as she spoke. The boy's body was broken, he was bleeding badly and no doubt he was in excruciating pain, but he still continued on, "You....aren't the only one who's in pain." he muttered, before glancing over at Texas. "Mother, she is in as much pain as you and I. She lost her husband and her son, but she tries to be strong in front of us. She rarely shows her emotions, but I can feel them. She is near he breaking point and we are all that she have left. When she needed us the most, you were nowhere to be found. I was there, I was with her, but her only daughter couldn't even bother to show up. Instead you were probably busy sleeping around with that tool of yours." Clearly Vincent was trying to make Mirai angry enough to do what he wanted, but he was also speaking the truth at the same time. "You're nothing but that traitor's personal whore. I'm surprised he has thrown you away by now. After all, there are more beautiful woman out there." he stated before smiling. "I can imagine the look on mother's face if she saw you now and not to mention brother's." he teased. "You don't want to see my face again? Well, the feelings mutual. I don't want to be associated with a demon whose become the slave to a mere human. You are the disappointment, not only to yourself, but to the name and memory of our father."

Mirai froze as Vincent brought up her mom and then proceeded to mock her. As he did it didn't seem like Mirai was affected. Though by the time he was done talking, things seemed to take a turn. There was dead silence for a few moments as everything Vincent said sunk in. Mirai's wavelength sky rocketed and Mira swung around, ending up right in front of Vincent, a look of pure rage on her face. Texas' flames activated again and Mirai quickly slammed the blade made of raw fire into Vincent's shoulder. She pulled the lever that was on the handle of her weapon and the flames launched through his shoulder and out behind him. The injury would have been a rather severe burn mark on not only his shoulder but part of his right arm and upper right side of his torso. She did this all while sending a rather lethal looking glare at her brother while looking him dead in the eye. "If a 'slave to a mere human' is stronger than you are. What does that make you then?" she hissed as she kept Texas in Vincent's shoulder for a solid eight seconds before extracting him and turning around again, not caring about the damage dealt to her younger brother.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Vincent looked on as Mirai stopped moving, smiling as he knew his words had finally reached her. That he had finally pushed her over the edge, which was his purpose. Without saying anything else, Vincent waited for the killing blow, however, once more, he would be disappointed, as Mirai appeared before him, but did not try and kill him. No, what she had in store was something much more painful. Taking Texas into her hands, she would activate the flames and stab the flaming mass right into his left shoulder, causing it to go right through and with a flick of the lever, she would launch even more flames. As this happened, all that could be heard was the roar of the flames as well as Vincent's painful shouts as his entire left arm and part of his body became engulfed in an raging inferno of fire. After what seemed like hours, Mirai would finally remove Texas from his shoulder, allowing for Vincent to collapse backwards unto the ground, his body still on fire and in excruciating pain. "W-Why?" he muttered. "Just kill me." As of now, Vincent couldn't even feel his arm anymore, even though it was still burning, it seems as though the flames had burned away his nerves in his arms.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas had remained silent for most of the fight. This was something between Mirai and Vincent and they needed to say what they needed to say. He had to bite his tongue at some parts, feeling himself becoming more and more angry as Vincent continued to insult and mock Mirai. His flames burned brighter and he helped Mirai with each one of her attacks. "How dare you!" He yelled angrily. "You don't know the first thing about us! You've been too busy whining and complaining about how hard your life is! Are you kidding me!? If jealousy is the worst suffering you've been through then you know NOTHING about suffering!" His fire flashed brightly as he spoke. "Oh, and just so you know, there aren't any women out there more beautiful to me than Mirai, so you can shove that right back where you got i!" He looked back up at Mirai. Don't let him get to you Miria, he thought to her. And I just want to show them.

Mirai continued walking away from Vincent while the flames that were still on and around him began to disappear "He isn't worth the effort, Texas..." she told him quietly. She heard Vincent but didn't look back at him "If my words haven't gotten to you and you want to be a coward and end yourself, don't ask me to do it. Do it yourself. I'm done..." she said before leaving the area Vincent was at. She made it to one of the areas where there was a rather large waterfalls and chose to cool down there. Mirai's wavelength lowered the rest of the way and she sat down on the ground, obviously exhausted in more ways than one. "That went way worse than I thought..." she muttered as she set Texas down to the side.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas flashed back into his human form, sitting down next to her. "It's over," he told he quietly, trying to cheer her up. He put his hand on her shoulder, giving her a smile. "We did what we came here to do." He had a feeling it would come to this, though Mirai obviously had too.
