Well, it wasn’t that she didn’t trust you, Dakota…it was just… Her haunted wide eyed look trailed over to the monster. Yeah. It was a good thing Dakota could just maneuver her around, because she was still shaking and she was turning red as Dakota ‘helped her get ready’. Though, really, that was nothing in comparison to the feeling of her heart in her throat. She kept on opening and closing her mouth, like a fish out of water, trying to reply, but nothing came out except a squeak. But then she was launched. “ AIYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” [Bonus rolling...no bonus. Sad.]

Jake watched with dismay as his turret crumbled.
Useless thing.
Though rather than dwell on it, it seemed they had something bigger to worry about. He looked at runic cord and the runic daggers (didn't those look famili-)
He flinched as he saw something get launched (holy crap, was that a person?), and was still staring, not seeing a certain brown-haired mist hunter head his way until he felt arms wrapped around his neck, choking him.
"Ack what-"
That voice.
"NEVADA WHAT THE HELL."

Gale had a split second of learning that he really did not like heights very much before he was soaring through the air, daggers in hand. He made a wide, dizzying arc above the creature, and felt his stomach drop a little, Gale gritting his teeth to keep from either screaming or swearing, one of the two.
He landed with a crash on its back, staggering several steps but managing to latch onto it to keep from sliding further.

Pushing himself to his feet (or rather, as much vertical as he could get), Gale held one of the daggers carefully in his hand, fingers wrapped tightly around the hilt.

"Go," said Gale, and slammed the dagger down.

Chel actually found her breath cut short as Nevada got so close. Not out of love-lust, but surprise that the girl was so readily accepting her flirts. Last time she'd seen her, the girl had been in shambles over a boy (who's a** she still had yet to kick) and then later in shambles over her eyepatch (which was fitting on her face in a lovely way now).
"Oho, so forward, so forward," she said with a chuckle, weaving her fingers into Nevada's soft hair and pulling lightly. The kiss was met with lighthearted lips and a chuckle. "Always do, princess. Like a ********' boomerang." She laughed, ruffling Nevada's hair lightly.
Seeing as their time was done, Chel hopped into the launcher, readying her stance. She threw a dagger into her right hand, prepared and ready. "Gotta stand right, y'know? I have a friend once hEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."
Suddenly she was flying through the air. Terror was apparent on her face, but it gave way to a smile as she landed on the creature's tail. Oh Nevada, you have terrible aim, was her only thought, oddly enough.

"Yeah yeah," she mumbled. Now was the time for action. Being on the tail, Chel found herself whipped around back and forth, giving her no opportunity to do anything except hang on. Ohhh she hoped brownie wasn't looking. That would be way too embarrassing.

The first dagger hadn't taken too well; Gale yanked it back out, picked a better spot, and slammed it back in. Then, with a slight grimace, he hoisted himself upwards, grabbed the grappling hook, and slid all the way back to safety, dropping with a crash and losing his footing almost immediately. He rolled over several feet and then managed to get his bearings back, pushing himself vertical.
"Thanks for your help," he said to Land, slightly out of breath.

She narrowed her eyes at Quinn. Noticing his plain fear, Alaska sighed and loosened her grip on his shoulder. “I think we both know the answer to that.” The sun hunter slowly turned him toward the launcher. “You may as well do something if you’re already here. Didn’t I tell you something like this last time we met? Suck it up and start helping.” A pause. “And at least you’re not the one being thrown.” She shot him a look that said she definitely did not want to be thrown, but alas.

"What the hell is right!" Nevada was pleased to at least know that he didn't forget about her, that way the retribution was going to be satisfying for her.
She slid around him, letting go of his neck and standing in front of him now, moving the gear. "But you didn't answer my question Handsome, How...do...you...feel...about...flying?" Each word was said deliberatly slowly with a cat like grin.
"Because I really think you'd enjoy it right? You like like a frequent flier type of guy."

Molly landed on the tail with an ‘OOF’, her hair frazzled and her eyes nearly popping out of her head. She clung onto that tail like it was her life line…well, it sorta was. Oh gosh oh gosh oh gosh. Luckily everything seemed…okay. Meaning her zip line to get back was…okay. She almost didn’t want to let go to get her dagger going buuut…yeah she didn’t want to stay here either. Molly shakily rose to her feet, clutching what she could on the tail, and moved to plunge her dagger into it. Luckily, it sunk in, and Molly almost didn't want to go back...because wow, that was a long way...but... Oh gosh, no staying here! Molly got her zip line ready and threw herself down that line. She barreled back down the line and back into Dakota, and once she was on the ground, she clung into the Moon Hunter like a barnacle. [5 (distance) x 7 (DMG)] TOTAL DMG: 35

What they were being asked to do was dangerous and huge, possibly lethal if they fell from that height, and there was no alternative but to do it, the creature was going to keep coming at them until they were all dead otherwise. The adrenaline from the harpoons was gone, and in the middle of the milling crowd - people gathered in their groups of friends, tenuous alliances and sometimes enemies - he felt adrift.
He felt like he was at the end of a very long tunnel, simply listening to the distant echoes of far away voices for meaning. It was hard to focus, even as the demonstration was set forward, forcing himself to watch and listen as an act of sheer concious will. It was going to be a disaster but there was nothing else for it but to do the job that had always been laid out in front of him.
When he spotted Harrison in the crowd, he felt that old yawning ache stretch out in him again, a sense of ragged loss that made him want to curl around it like a serious injury, to try and hold it closed. His but not his.
Normally he was too proud to ask for help, but lately it was as if his innate sense of pride was as AWOL as everything else. He laid a hand on Harrison's shoulder briefly before withdrawing it as if scared to linger too long.
"I er. I.... Do you want to work together?" He shouldn't have even had to ask, and somehow that alone was enough for the claws of grief around his heart to clench tighter.

Oh. Oh. Robert winced, sucking a breath through his teeth as Before dropped like a stone into the sand. Mimsy's reprimand hit him hard, and he winced away from it, as if he'd just been struck. "I thought-" That was his first mistake. So he stopped there, and just reeled Before's body back in. When Before was at his feet, Robert picked him up and dusted him off, before patting him gently on the back. "Sorry, buddy." He muttered guiltily as he checked the harness again. "We'll play it by the book this time." The book was actually far worse than what he'd just done. Before was picked up, flung into the catapault, and the trajectory was adjusted once more. This was a mistake - because it had been perfect before. But Robert was sick of people using his perfect catapault, so he ruined everything, and sent Before on his way.

It was strange, really. He kinda wished he had forgotten her. But then he imagined the kind of person she was and how she could mess with his mind, and thought better of it.
He eyed the gear wearily and frowned at her.
"You better not be doing what I think you're doing or SO HELP ME-"
His threat would have been more effective if he actually knew what he was going to do.

He didn't understand.
For one thing, he still had no clue as to how Shiloh had managed to get out in the first place. And for another, he couldn't understand how he could stand there and smile like he always did and not see that this was not okay? He did not want Shiloh to know how much his "death" had rattled him, or that he was a great big ball of frustration and insecurities and a chaotic mess of thoughts he had been trying to suppress for years.
Was this always how it was on Deus?
Abruptly, without warning, Ian wrapped one arm around Shiloh's shoulders and yanked him forward into a hug, ignoring the fact that he was getting slime all down his front and straining the straps already in position.
"I seriously thought you were dead," Ian said, his voice slightly muffled, lower than normal. "******** hell, man."

Damn right he wouldn't forget about her either. She would make sure his life was hell. Okay not like she wasn't going to try now since forgetting Sherry but she had to remember Jake was sort of a friend too okay.

She didn't let him say anything more, bringing her finger up to his lips to silence him before he said anything.
"Shhhhhh Handsome it's okay." She fluttered her eyelashes, "You're all brave and strong and handsome okay. You'll make it through this. You always do." She started to wrap her arms around him, and much like with Chelsea, invaded his space by wrapping her arms around his body, snapping the harness in place around his back, and then letting her hands dip to his waist to buckle there. Everything was all touchy and feely because its Nevada and she wasn't shy like that. But instead of a goodbye kiss like for Chelsea she....
"By the way, this is really not personal or anything, but the next time you forget about Sherry, YOU SHOULD REALLY RETHINK IT." .....pushed him over into the catapult, setting it and sent him flying.
