There was another fragment close by, one within her grasp and she snatched it and held it close. This time another small phrase entered her mind.
"Aishiteru.."
It was a strange word, one that didn't make sense but it still filled her with that feeling of becoming something more. Like she was putting herself back together. With that fragment gone she was off to find her next one.

Eidhis arrived slow and lazily. She was to collect fragments of light for the Goddess. What were they even? She kept her feet out of the water she she treaded carefully between the pillars and fallen pieces of the temple. She looked around, seeing other people with pieces of light in their hands. She continued walking until something flashed in front of her. She had kicked a shard square in the middle and sent it flying. She ran up and picked it up before someone else could

On her mission to her next fragment Tsumi paused when it seemed another figure wanted her attention. They were talking to her? Curiously tilting her head she nodded to their question before pointing at the stray fragment she was after.

As he angled his head to watch the others try to grab onto the fragments, Linswo realized how quick and agile they actually were. Nervously, he watched the orbs floating above him for a few moments before he reached out for another. This time he was quicker, and fortunately this time he managed to take another into his grasp. He stared at the orb curiously when he heard the sounds of what could only be described as a noisy party. His face crinkled, one hand reaching up to cover one of his ears before the noise disappeared. “Ah.” He looked up at a nearby shadow. “It seems…she left already,” he noted quietly with an apologetic smile.

An orb floated in front of his vision. His eyes widened as he leaned back. Reflexively, he tried to reach for it, but it had already flown out of his reach. Linswo sighed, disappointed.

Her head tilted again though Tsumi followed the fragment that floated around the other shadow until they managed to catch it. It was hard to convey the intent behind her actions but she tilted her head in a curious manner and pointed at the hand that the other shadow had used to catch their fragment. Did it give them the same little clips or something else? Did it make them feel the same way?
As she stood quietly and pondered what the fragments were another one floated passed her. Reaching out she grabbed it quickly and pulled it close, the sounds of a piano reaching her ears. It was a quiet melody that faded away just as quickly as it came and Tsumi was almost sad when it was gone.

The next crystal fragment that floated by came quickly after the one he had captured before, and he whipped out a hand towards it, snatching it up with barely a pause, eager for whatever new memory he might receive.
I love you.... A sleepy whisper, this time a woman's voice. It did not jolt awake any emotions in him, but still left behind its own brand of warmth despite that.

"Just one more? Lucky." But he said it goodnaturedly and smiled, finding that that seemed to be his good luck charm as another fragment fell into his hands.

There was another nearby fragment. He tried to follow it with his gaze, but as he reached out to grab it, the shadow from before made a movement out of the corner of his eye. Startled, Linswo paused and looked at her. She seemed to have pointed at his hand. He tilted his head and raised it. “This? Um. Well. Not really, I think?” he answered vaguely. He watched her grab a fragment and he grinned. “Nice.”

Eidhis inspected her first shard. A voice screamed inside of her head. NO NO NO NO NO Ouch was it ever loud. It made her want to just chuck the thing to the ground, but the warmth was nice. It was the only source of it in this foggy temple.
She continued on.
She found her next piece glowing faintly from under the fog. She picked it up waiting for the pain came back. The screaming didn't return. This time an image of blood and bandages came. At least now she had two shards.

Once again the girl clapped her hands excitedly for him, smiling brightly. This was actually almost fun with someone else! Sure the words were mixed up and confusing, but it wasn't too bad, not really. They were easier to ignore if she just concentrated on what was happening. "I just don't want to bother you..." Annabell finally settled on, peeking at the boy from underneath grey bangs. For a second she lingered before she darted back over to an orb and gingerly snatched it up. This one spoke with a voice that was so familiar she actually felt a pang in her heart, that feeling of longing coming back with force enough to make her stop smiling when she heard the words I'm supposed to shine...
The girl took a deep breath and trotted back over to the boy, a softer smile on her face now. "I don't mind waiting and cheering you on. But if you think you'll do better on your own, I'll give these to the Goddess and... See you somewhere else, maybe." Another smile was given, one of 'no pressure' before she took a step back and waited.

After having some more patience and concentrating a bit more, Linswo managed to grab another fragment. He breathed a sigh of relief. This memory wasn’t as noisy as the previous ones. Rather, all he could hear was boots crunching against the snow and laughter. One he could vaguely identify his own, but the other was unfamiliar, feminine. Who was she?
