((I kinda noticed. It appears that for the time being, at least, Darian is the only one that really likes her because of it. ^^))
Lael continues to scowl as she sits down (she was standing before) in a chair next to Kitara. Taking a deep breath she calms herself and manages to stop scowling, carefully putting on her polite political face again. Time was I wouldn't have let myself loose my temper in someone elses house. I'm getting out of practice, she says to herself. Determined not to allow the conversation to get any more unpleasant she says to Arlene, "It doesn't matter. Why don't you tell us about yourself? We barely know each other, after all."

Arelen chuckles before saying, as she stands up and walks towards the garden, "With your permission, I'd rather not."
She kneels down by the garden and starts weeding.
--- Kitara sighs, whispering into Lael's ear, "Is it just me or aren't we as welcome as we'd like to think?"
((OOC: Yeh, I like having a character that's a pain-in-the-neck.... can you tell that? But she's cool in her own way. I just feel that she should be a snot for a bit, though she loves talking about herself - I merely do that so I don't have to think about her life, seriously.))

"Indeed," Lael whispers back. Louder she says, "Very well. I see you like to garden. I'm rather partial to it myself."

"Yes," the redhead briefly says, "Only because it gives me something to do around the home. Herbs, vegetables, flowers, and other plants - my refuge from life at times."

Lael nodds. "I had a garden of my own back home. I'm afraid it's gone now, but it I really loved it. I did, however, always like plants in the wild more. It just seemed like such a shame to tell them where to grow."

"A shame to tell flowers where to grow?" the redhead asks, turning towards her, "What do you mean by that? I think that as long as you know what type of flower they are, they are content to grow where they are."

"I didn't say it was wrong or something. It just seems to me that it is better when things are done naturally. That it's better for a plant to decide for itself where to grow instead of telling it. I don't know. Telling it just almost feels like caging it. And yet, they are beautiful things. So I am guilty as charged. I to have caged them, I suppose."

The redhead sighs before saying, as she turns back to the garden, "If someone doesn't plant plants in certain places and take out other plants from other spots, there would only be weeds and tall grass in all yards. Actually, there might have some wild flowers, but I doubt it."

"Yes. I know," Lael says. "But once upon a time that's all there was. And it was beautiful in it's own way. But that can no longer be now that 'civilized' cultures have come into being. No. I understand what you're saying, and I agree with you. I just can't help but enjoy wild flowers more."

Kitara rolls her eyes, turning to her glass of water so that she doesn't comment. Jay, near her on the table, twitters something ("Man, she needs to loosen up.") and she nods.
Arelen says, trying not to snap, "But you can always have a garden with native plants, you know."

Lael shruggs and says nothing. I didn't mean to insult her or something. Why's she getting mad anyway? she thinks.

A few hours later, a third crimson redheaded lady enters the house, bags of food in her arms. She finds the black haired elf-Mystic seated inside the door (on his recliner) and gives him a kiss. He whispers something in her ear and she rolls her eyes as she shrugs gently. She says something to him and he nods, letting her put the food away.
Lord Okalwa stops by to check on Darian and Margem, finding his daugther asleep from exhaustion as the young Moonleaf sleeps while he fights the poison of the blade. He decides to leave them alone and goes to the backyard.
He finds Arelen weeding the garden, Kitara relaxing in the chair she's in (somehow in a metal chair), Jay resting on her lap, and Lael sitting near the elvish lady. He leans against the door's frame and clears his throat, catching the ladies' attention.
"I'm sorry for my rude behavior for not asking earlier, but would you like a place to stay for the night? I have checked up on what's around our town and no one is going to be attacking for at least a few weeks. Come on and I'll show you a place to sleep. Mind you, if you fall asleep now, you won't be able to eat supper."
