[[alright guys, I'm combining what was gonna be several posts into one, so let's do this!]]
Shane Lawson
Eric Hunter
The Reaver
Miles took several steps backwards as he stared at Matt in horror. Matt had swallowed the last soul he needed to become a kishin egg. At first nothing happened. Then Matt's eyes flashed a deep red. Suddenly there was an explosion of resonance force, and Matt stood before them in his full kishin egg form. The massive beast towered over them; every breath it took sounding like a hurricane.
"We're too late...." Miles said quietly as he looked up at what Matt had become.
"Not yet," replied Eric.
"Let us handle this. All we need to do is cause enough damage; then he'll be weak enough for us to seal." Miles looked over at Eric and Shane. After a few moments he nodded.
"Okay. I'll leave it to you," he replied reluctantly. Eric nodded and strode forwards.
"Come beast, do what you do best." The Reaver let out an earthshaking roar before charging straight towards Eric. Eric ran forwards as well, launching himself into the air at the last moment. He flew over the Reaver, slashing a large gash in the creature's shoulder. The Reaver roared and swung his arm backwards, attempting to smack Eric out of the way like a fly. Eric barely dodged in time, stepping just out of range of the attack. Eric took a few more steps backwards and fired a blast of resonance force from his Weapon towards The Reaver. The Reaver swatted it out of the way without batting an eyelash.
"This is going to be difficult," Shane said from the reflection of the blade.
"It is no matter," replied Eric as he readied himself for the incoming attack.

Nurse Mortem

The Demon Nurse Magnus continued coughing up blood as both Nurse Mortem and the Arena Master worked on healing him.
"What's wrong with him!? How did this happen!?" Cried Fleur as she held Magnus's hand tightly, tears began running down her face. Nurse Mortem didn't look up from what she was doing.
"He was poisoned," she replied simply.
"What!? How!? By who!?" "I don't know." Nylus stood stone-faced over Magnus. He didn't say a word, but somehow it was obvious that he was worried too. Suddenly, the Arena Master allowed his aura to fade and stopped healing Magnus. Nurse Mortem's head snapped up.
"What are you doing!?" She asked as she pushed her healing powers as hard as she could.
"He needs your help or he's going to die!" The Arena Master nodded.
"He will. But I can't do enough here. I need to take him to my quarters." Nurse Mortem stood up.
"Alright then, we need to move him quickly." The Arena Master bent down and picked up Magnus.
"No. I'll move him there myself. Once he's there I can do enough on my own." "But-" "I need you to stay here and heal Scarlet or Mr. Jetter in case they get hurt." "But-" "No arguments." Nurse Mortem clearly didn't like the idea but said nothing.
"I'm coming with him. I won't leave his side," Fleur said. The Arena Master nodded and quickly walked out of the pavilion and down a nearby flight of stairs, disappearing into the depths of the arena itself with Fleur and Nylus close behind. Magnus's part of the plan had worked flawlessly. Fleur the full-fledged kishin and the Arena Master, a being of unknown power, had effectively been taken out of the fight. Had they stayed, they could have easily turned the tide in their favor.
Miles Libertatis
James Jetter
Miles was watching the fight between Eric and Matt when he heard a voice behind him.
"Of course you would be behind this." Miles turned around to face James Jetter.
"And of course you'd be the first to show." James gave a thin smile.
"Well, here we are. I never did think you and I would actually be fighting in the arena." Miles got in a fighting stance.
"Bring it." James didn't need any more motivation. He dashed forwards, throwing a punch towards Miles. Miles didn't expect James to come so fast. The punch hit him full in the face, but it was not enough to prevent a counterattack. Miles sent two quick kicks towards James but James ducked them, giving Miles another punch to the gut. Miles bent forward slightly, then thrust he knee out slamming it straight into James's chest. James stumbled backwards and Miles followed up with two quick punches to James's stomach. As Miles tried to throw a third punch, James caught it in his hand and kicked Miles in the side, causing him to cough up blood.
"Don't go down just yet," James set as he pushed Miles backwards a few steps and wiped some blood off his nose with his fist. Miles didn't respond, coming at James again as he tried to kick him straight in the throat. James bent back just enough for the kick to go straight over him. When he bent back up straight his arm had been turned into a blade. He gave a wide slash towards Miles's chest. The slash landed full on, drawing a spray of blood as Miles stumbled backwards, putting his hands over the wound.
"You'll have to do better than that," Miles said angrily as he looked up towards James.
"No problem," replied James as he transformed blade arm into a gun. Miles closed his eyes.
"Anima Nex!" He yelled. A bright blue aura flashed around his soul. When he opened his eyes, they were bright blue. James didn't seem bothered. Instead he reached down and unclasped the watch he always wore.
"This was my grandfather's watch," he said calmly as he pulled it off and let it drop to the ground.
"But it does so much more than tell time." As the watch dropped to the ground, James's soul suddenly faded. Nothing replaced it. His resonance force rose drastically. Miles gave a look of confusion.
"What...are you?" He asked, staring at the gaping hole where James's soul should be. It couldn't be a soul protect; Miles had the power to see through such a thing. Besides, James had
removed the device.
"I am what I am." Miles growled angrily and rushed forward, throwing two consecutive kicks towards James. James slid away from the first one, but the second caught him in the shoulder, pushing him back. James fired a resonance blast from his gun towards Miles but Miles spun around it, slamming his head down into James's face then kneed him in the stomach, finishing with a punch straight across his jaw. James stumbled backwards and spat out blood. Miles didn't let up, stepping in again to punch James across the face. He was pulling back for a second punch when James suddenly smiled.
"Ever been hit by a scattershot?" James asked casually.
"Wha..?" Miles looked down in time to see James's fully charged gunshot blast into him, separating into dozens of tiny beams as it discharged. Most of the beams went through Miles as he was blown backwards, landing flat on his back. James walked up and stood over him.
"Guess not." ♠♠♠Scarlet♠♠♠-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

♦The Magician♦ Max

Scarlet appeared before Max, drawing her gun as she walked up to him casually.
"Heya Maxy!" She said cheerfully as the dog turned to face her, his one good eye looking up at her.
"Remember, this is just a play fight now! I have to pretend to be helping the arena or else they'll get suspicious. Don't worry, play along and I promise I'll tell you who killed your family." Max nodded once; the only indication that he understood. Without another word Scarlet fired from the hip, sending two blasts directly towards Max. Max skidded to the side, missing all but one that hit him in the shoulder. Max opened his mouth wide and fired what looked like a beam of black and white resonance force. Scarlet let it hit her in the chest.
"Owww, oh no, you got me! Bad dog!" She said jokingly as she fired more rounds at him. Max returned fire, their shots of resonance force arcing back and forth across the arena. Scarlet was lining up to take another shot when a massive fireball engulfed a section of the stadium in tandem with a ground-shaking explosion, causing dozens of spectators still trapped in the stands to die instantly.
"Oh dear. Destroying the generator must have caused a chain reaction," Scarlet said as she shaded her eyes to look at the explosion. In response, Max hit her in the shoulder with another resonance blast.
"Hey! No fair I wasn't even looking!" Scarlet said cheerfully as she began shooting again. Several of the shots found their mark as another explosion rocked the arena, causing the two to stumble. Max regained his balance first and fired another shot at Scarlet. Scarlet allowed this one to hit her too before returning fire and hitting Max with low-damage attacks several more times.
"Well, that should be enough then," Scarlet said, holstering her gun.
"I show up back at the Dark Carnival and say I fought but lost and you drop by when it's safe to find out what you so badly want to know." She gave a wave at Max before jumping backwards into a cloud of smoke that began to rise around the arena caused by the explosions. Max snorted and turned away, walking through one of the arena exits.
Nurse Mortem

The Demon Nurse The Warden
Nurse Mortem ran across the arena floor as several explosions shook the ground around her. There were too many people injured for her to help. But there was one she knew she could still save. She was almost to Miles when someone landed directly in front of her, blade already drawn. Nurse Mortem stopped in her tracks.
"Warden? Get out of the way! I need to help Miles!" The Warden shook her head slowly.
"Not this time," she said, holding her sword in front of her.
"What!?" The Warden glared at her.
"You've always been in the way since you got here. Walking around like you're all innocent. Trying to seduce the Arena Master. You think I don't know?" "I told you already! I'm not trying to do anything like that! I'm here to help people!" "Yeah yeah. That line may work on those men. But it won't work on me. I know better." "Stop this!" "No. You stop. Here and now. You won't take the Arena Master away from me." "I'm not trying to-" Nurse Mortem was forced to end her sentence prematurely as The Warden took a swing at her, forcing her to jump backwards.
"Please! Just move!" "No. Now that everyone is distracted, you die here. Now." The Warden lunged forward again, but this time there was an explosion of resonance force as Nurse Mortem changed to her demoness form. She used her wings to propel herself backwards and out of range.
"Don't make me fight you!" The Warden didn't respond this time, launching herself into the air and coming down at Nurse Mortem, swinging her sword in an attempt to behead her. Nurse Mortem lashed out with her tail, forcing the Warden to change her direction and miss her swing. The Warden thrust her sword forward as she tried to pierce Nurse Mortem through the chest, but Nurse Mortem grabbed the blade with her clawed hands, the screeching of metal against claws causing sparks to fly as Nurse Mortem struggled to hold the blade back. Finally she forced the sword to the side and swung again with her tail, opening a gash in The Warden's arm with the hooked end.
"How dare you!" Yelled the Warden as she pulled back.
"Just go away!" Nurse Mortem tried again. The Warden ignored her and tried several more swings, forcing Nurse Mortem to take a few steps backwards.
"DIE!" Nurse Mortem rushed forwards this time instead of back.
"Shock Claws!" She yelled. Suddenly she began swiping her claws towards The Warden again and again in a blur of motion. The Warden tried desperately to dodge but many of them found their mark, causing gashes to open all across The Warden's body. Finally Nurse Mortem stopped to catch her breath and The Warden managed to pull back out of range. Nurse Mortem's claws were dripping with blood and she clearly didn't like the sight of them.
"That's IT!" The Warden yelled. A bright silver light began to charge around her blade before she rushed forward.
"Final Slash!" The Warden's blade arced towards Nurse Mortem, followed by contrails of silver light. This was clearly one of The Warden's more powerful attacks. Nurse Mortem reacted instinctively, lashing her hooked tail forwards in a horizontal attack. There was a slash and The Warden suddenly stopped cold, her eyes wide in surprise. A spray of blood shot out from her throat where Nurse Mortem had slashed it open. The silver light faded from The Warden's blade. The Warden tried to talk but all that came out was a gasp as she fell to the ground. Nurse Mortem recoiled in horror, covering her mouth with her hands.
"Oh no! No! I didn't mean to..! I'm sorry!" Hey eyes were wide with disbelief at what she had accidentally done. She'd never killed anyone before. The Warden let out a final gasp and lay still.
There was a flash and Nurse Mortem turned back to her human form.
"I...I'm sorry," was all she managed to say before she turned back towards Miles, rushing over to his side. He was still alive but unconscious, multiple holes covered his body where James had shot him with his scattergun. James stood over Miles, watching as Nurse Mortem quickly knelt next to him ignoring his presence. He had put back on his grandfather's watch again at some point and the fake soul was once again present. There was another explosion and more fire erupting from the arena stands, elliciting a cry of fear from the spectators as more were burned alive. Parts of the stadium began to collapse inwards upon themselves.
"Hang in there Miles!" Nurse Mortem told him as she held her hands over him and began to heal. Suddenly there was a blade at her throat. Nurse Mortem ignored it and continued healing, not looking up at James who held his bladearm against her neck.
"If you'd know what I am, you never would have turned your back to me Nurse Mortem," James said coolly.
"I do know what you are," Nurse Mortem replied, still concentrating on healing Miles.
"Oh really?" "You're a Blank. Someone who's born without a soul. Only one person in about 500 million has that condition. It means you lack emotions; you can only imitate them. The only way you can feel anything is by manipulating the emotions of others, generally in a negative way. That's why you go around causing pain. It's the only way you can feel." James gave a small smile.
"You seem to know a lot about me, Nurse Mortem." "I studied rare soul conditions in my training to become a doctor." "I see. And I see that you're a demon. No wonder you haven't applied to major Hospitals or to the DWMA. You more than have the qualifications, but have never tried to get into a prestigious hospital. I always wondered why, but I suppose it makes sense. After all, you are a demon; no one would accept you." "That's not going to work. I know you're just trying to upset me so you can feel something." James shrugged.
"Fair enough." After several more moments Nurse Mortem spoke up again.
"It's possible to heal, James," she told him.
"So I've heard," replied James, sounding uninterested.
"It's been done; people with your condition have recovered and become able to feel." "Yes. I know. Do you know what happened to those people?" Nurse Mortem didn't respond so James answered for her.
"They killed themselves. They couldn't handle the sudden feelings after never having experienced anything like them. Like a blind man who has never been able to see; they can't handle sight after being blind for so long. They can't comprehend it and there's no going back. So the Blanks who have recovered have all taken their own lives." "That doesn't mean you have to do that. You can be happy James. You just have surround yourself with the right people. With friends." "Even if that was true; I don't care." "Yes you do." James raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really? And why do you say that?" Nurse Mortem finally looked up at James after she managed to stabilize Miles.
"You seem to know a lot about it. How would you have found out anything unless you cared enough to learn about it?" James paused for a moment.
"Careful Nurse Mortem. Annoyance is one thing I CAN feel." Nurse Mortem didn't reply, instead bending down to sling the unconscious Mile's arm over her shoulder.
"Think about it James." James shrugged, turning his bladearm back into normal.
"Whatever the future holds for me, it has nothing more here. The Arena is finished, at least for now. I will go elsewhere." James turned and walked off; disappearing through one of the exits as well. Nurse Mortem watched him go before starting to drag Miles off towards the nearest exit.

Sarah
As Emma was watching Eric, suddenly a figure would appear. It was the same girl Emma saw back when Scratch revealed her future. This was clearly an illusion too, but an unintentional one. It was a side effect of everything else that was happening.
"Mommy?" The girl asked, a worried expression on her face. She reached out and held Emma's tail firmly but not tightly enough to hurt. She held onto it like it was a lifeline for her; something she was afraid to let go of. She didn't want to leave her mother's side.
"Is...daddy going to be okay?" Eric coughed a few times, his eyes roving around the room. He was clearly still out of it and was completely unaware of the presence of this new illusion.
"I'm scared," the girl said, pulling close to Emma as she still clung to her tail.
"Is daddy gonna die?" She looked up at Emma, a sincere expression of fear on her face.
