~Silvir~

Entering the foyer in a slight daze from the night before, he stumbled through the doorway unclear of his own thoughts, feeling rather ill. He propped himself up leaning against the doorway, noticing some commotion upstairs. This hangover type of illness he felt was rather odd, as he never had a hangover before from the abnormally high alcohol tolerance he has, this feeling was very unwelcome to him. His tail, normally wrapped around his waist, was waving around in an erratic manner, uncontrollably slightly hitting the doorway leaving slight marks in the door frame.

Such things were not for those of her kind...

That was the first thought that crossed Mercurial's mind as she stared up at the castle in front of her, gold eyes wide, bag in hand. Her outfit was simple, and the cloak shadowed her face, making it seem as though her eyes glowed from inside the hood as she stared up in fascination at the castle before her. She'd never seen any such place, it was so grand... She turned as the sound of wheels began behind her, and a soft sigh crossed her lips as she frowned. She was saddened by the sight of her now former master leaving her behind.

He had been a nice man, and hadn't abused her or anything. He just didn't understand. But then again, nobody did, or so it seemed. She shifted the bag to her shoulder, holding it close against her side. It was precious to her, that bag, and so was the violin case in her hand. Reaching behind her, she grabbed the roller suitcase they had left with her, that had all her clothes, and a few pictures, and pulled it along behind her as she headed toward the door. Once there she would open it and pull her things inside, letting out another small sigh as she stared around her in awe at the beauty of the foyer.

The place was incredible, and the entryway seemed busy as she looked around at all the people that were chatting and wandering about. A frown crossed her face, bringing her eyebrows together as she moved away from the predominant amount of people in the room. She was still shy, regardless, and was wondering if there was a dance room... And where she was supposed to go from here... She'd received no further instruction upon when she was supposed to arrive, or where she was to go afterward.

Skye chewed on her bottom lip as she looked up at the castle in front of her. It was huge, and quite beautiful. And not at all what she had expected to find when she had received the invitation. Of course, she certainly hadn't been expecting the invitation either. It couldn't have came at a better time, as Skye had just recently found herself between 'homes', if you could call them that, really. Her latest master had kicked her out, not even bothering to pass her on to someone else, because he had simply grown tired of her. He'd even taken her out to the middle of nowhere, and dropped her off. If it hadn't been for her wings, she'd still be stuck out in the middle of the desert. It could have been worse, she knew. She'd been through much worse, so she knew that firsthand. But, while it was really a chance of her regaining her freedom, she didn't exactly have that option. She would have liked to have it back, but she didn't have the means to do it. Nor the will, really. Skye was broke, and only had the clothes on her back, the few items in her bag that was slung over her shoulder, and her pet Chirp, the bluebird that currently sat on her left shoulder. And that was it. Skye had been under lock and key for so long, that she couldn't even remember what it was like to make her own decisions, to live on her own. If it hadn't been for the invitation to Trinity Castle, she would be sleeping on the streets, unsure of what to do with herself. That was another thing; she'd had people telling her what to do for so long, that she couldn't even remember how to make her own decisions.

Continuing to chew on her lower lip for a moment, she tried to force her legs to move and carry her up the rest of the sidewalk, and into the castle. She wanted to be here, needed to be, really. She had nowhere else to go, and needed a roof over her head. Her stomach grumbled, reminding her that she hadn't had anything to eat in a week. Granted, Skye was technically 'dead', being an Angel and all, so she didn't actually need food the way that humans and other species did, but that didn't mean that she didn't still get hungry. Chirp squeaked and ruffled his feathers, trying to get Skye's attention. She glanced over at her little feathery friend, knowing that was her way of trying to get Skye to head inside. "I know, I know," she said, sighing. But, even as much as Skye needed to be there, she was nervous. She never knew what a new 'home' would hold, what kind of people she'd find herself dealing with. She had been through too many bad places to really hope to find a nice one, one that she would actually be happy at. But she couldn't stop just a small glimmer of a dream that was hidden deep down that maybe this place would be different. Maybe she'd actually find a master that was nice and she could be happy with.

But with her luck. . .

Shaking her head and trying to clear her thoughts, she forced her legs to start walking and closed the distance to the front door. Upon reaching it, she paused, chewing on her bottom lip again. Was she supposed to knock? It felt wrong to enter the castle without knocking first. But, she also didn't want to bother anyone, and they had invited her there, which meant that they were expecting her, right? Chances were, there were plenty of people that had been invited to the castle, and they just came and went as they pleased. But. . . she stood there for a few moments, trying to decide what she do. Eventually, she got her nerve up and raised her hand to knock on the door, and waited. Then waited some more. When no answer came, probably due to the fact that she had knocked too softly, she had barely even heard herself knock to be honest, she gathered her nerve up and turned the handle. It turned easily, and the large door swung open effortlessly. She only pushed it open a little, before she dared to peek her head through and look into the room. The entrance was a large, beautiful room, with two ascending staircases that curved off in different directions. Between them appeared to be a small sitting area in front of a large window overlooking the back of the grounds. Then there were hallways leading off in all kinds of directions. Remembering the size of the castle, Skye suspected that she'd get lost if she wasn't careful. But, she was already lost, because she didn't have any idea where she was supposed to go from there.

She walked up the steps of her home...with a wistful sigh she smiled upon reaching the door. Hopefully she would be able to take a break from these long trips away for a while. She missed her sisters, her room, her pet. With thoughts to a bath and unpacking her single small suitcase, she went inside.

I'm the girl you've been thinking about
The one thing you can't live without
I'm the girl you've been waiting for
I'll have you down on your knees
I'll have you begging for more
You probably thought I wouldn't get this far
You thought I'd end up in the back of a car
You probably thought that I'd never escape
I'd be a rat in a cage, I'd be a slave to this place
You don't know how hard I fought to survive

xxxx⇛ℵεѵεʀ ɑℊɑɪℵ ωɪʟʟ ɪ ҏʟɑʏ ʏσυʀ ғσσʟ⇚ Amaranthe sighed as she looked up at her ancestral home. She silently wondered how her sister had fared while she was away... Amirah had been gone as well, she knew that.. But Ambrosia, Ambrosia had been here, dealing with all the drama and trauma of running the castle on her own. She felt bad for the other woman, but her own absence had been unavoidable at this time. She took a deep breath as she made herself approach the door, headphones were still over her ears as she walked in one side of the double doors.

Looking around, she found the entryway sadly empty. A sad edge smile crossed her lips as she surveyed the room. What had she expected, a warm welcome? Nobody knew she was returning, none the less that she was returning today. Inhaling deeply through her nose, she made her way across the room and started up the stairs that led toward the towers she and her sisters shared.

Waking up alone when I was left to die
You don't know about this life I've lived,
All these roads I've walked
All these tears I've bled
So how can this be?
You're praying to me
There's a look in your eyes,
I know just what that means
I can be, I can be your everything

But let me tell you something baby
You love me for everything you hate me for

It took Ever a while to find where the-so-called foyer was. For several hours she felt around in her room to try and find a walking stick, which she used ONLY when she wasn't used to her new surroundings, but she could not find one. Not in the closet, or the bathroom. Hell, she wouldn't even mind using a mop or broom even if she did look foolish but those were also missing from her room. It only took her about an hour to find the foyer. She relied on her sense of touch and scent to guide her way.

The hallways in the castle were very long and she quickly realized that one could easily become lost if they were not careful and remembered the paths that they had taken. For Ever though, it was quite easy to find her way back. All she had to do was follow her own scent back to her room and voila. Home sweet home... Just thinking about it made Ever's chest twinge in pain. That evil woman had tricked her and Ever had been foolish enough to believe her. She never even got to say goodbye...

Ever passed by another hallway that strongly smelled of alcohol and tobacco. She cringed and resisted the urge to cover her nose with the bottom of her white sun dress that she had found in the drawer of her room. It fit her perfectly which she immediately thought was strange but was a lot better then nothing. She wished she could see it but the cotton was soft and it felt like a cloud that had fitted to her body. It felt airy and light and Ever loved it. She found shoes but she preferred to be barefoot. It always helped her to feel things more easily and she loved the touch of things beneath her feet, be it mud or grass.

She was getting close to the foyer. She could tell because the scent of the outdoors was getting stronger and many voices could also be heard from that general area. Her plan was not to escape. Ever knew that if she tried she would just be caught again. There was no point in even trying. Soon her hands found the handle of a door and she yanked it open. The cool night air sending chilly bites along her body and ruffling her hair and dress. She could smell the pine trees and the freshly cut grass. How she longed to go outside and see the stars. But she knew that she could not. She felt around using only her feet, poking around at furniture and making sure not to disturb the other people there, until she finally found a sofa. Making sure that no one was sitting on it, she sat down and closed her eyes, enjoying the scents of the world around her even if it was the world of a 'Pet.'

Please tell me... Tell me it wasn't all in my head...

Ashlynne could hear the sounds of diamonds, tinkling together with the softest of sounds, as she sat on the empty front steps of Trinity Castle. She hadn't ventured inside yet, though the staff had come to inform her that her things were upstairs in her quarters, which they would decorate to her liking once she let them know what she wanted. A sigh crossed her lips as she let her eyes drift shut, leaning back against the railing, her feet swinging off the edge of the precipice that backed one side of the castle itself. She was beyond depressed. Her own father had done this to her, sold her for his own profits...

She shook her head and sighed again, pushing aside those thoughts as she stared up into the sky in silence. She wasn't going to make a big deal of this, she wouldn't let this ruin her. It had already damaged her personality beyond repair, but no more damage would she allow. This place, it was a new beginning, regardless of her still being a slave of sorts. To Ash, it didn't matter how pretty of a title you put upon it. She belonged to someone else, not herself, never herself.

His eyes danced with mirth and he held a seemingly eternal smile upon his features. He was always smiling at something or another. A new joke, new trick, a new spell. Even a prank, whether it be on him or someone else. Melchior always found a reason to grin. It was simply who he was. Growing up in the environment that he had made it easy to smile, to see the little things in life. That's what he looked for, the little things. He was that person who stopped to smell the roses, to watch the sun rise or set. Time held no bearing on him. It moved and so, too, would he. But at his own pace. The only time he might ever be caught rushing was if he was late to a performance. Sadly, he hadn't been given a crowd to perform before in quite some time.

Returning from his little excursion about the castle grounds, the male noticed a new female sitting upon the Castle's steps. Well, new to him, perhaps she'd been here for months and he'd simply never crossed her path. He tilted his head slightly to the left as he observed the girl. She didn't seem particularly happy about her, he assumed, arrival. Or maybe she had just received some terrible news? Really, anything was possible. That's what he loved about the world though. So many possibilities and you couldn't always decide what would happen.

He approached her at a leisurely pace, pretending as though he would just pass her by and walk inside. That wasn't his intention at all though. At the last moment a bouquet of flowers, a variety of them, appeared in his hand and he dangled them in front of the girl's face. "You know, it takes a lot more effort to form a frown than it does a smile. And I'm sure you're a lot prettier when you smile." He commented, moving to crouch in front of her as he held the gift out to her.

Ashlynne's green eyes looked up to meet those of the man crouched before her. He sat there, a bouquet of flowers held aloft before him, looking ever so amused. What had he said? "You know, it takes a lot more effort to form a frown than it does a smile. And I'm sure you're a lot prettier when you smile." His words alone allowed a soft smile to cross her lips, and her expression warmed some. Alright, so maybe this whole thing wouldn't be a colossal waste of time. At least if there was good people around, she could keep herself entertained.

Honestly, Ash decided something, as this stranger crouched before her with flowers. She wouldn't let this situation eat her alive. No, she would survive and even thrive if she could, in this situation. She wasn't going to let this drag her down, hurt her, make her hate herself....
"You will have to forgive me for such a sullen attitude, but to be quite honest... Being sold out by your own flesh and blood, tends to put a damper on your day..." she gave another smile then, but this one a lot more sad as she met his eyes once more and took the bouquet from his hands, touching the flowers with gentle fingers and rubbing one of the petals between her fingers.

Kyrian wandered through the halls of the castle, his features seemingly molded into an eternal scowl. He still wasn't entirely sure why he had come here, but here he was. He had been for quite some time now, but he had yet to find someone new to appease his boredom. Sure, there was Madonna, but he'd had her as his slave for some time now. Honestly, he was growing a bit tired of her. Not that he was about to let her free. Oh, no, Kyrian had rescued her however long ago it had been and he didn't allow such debts to go very easily. In fact, he probably wouldn't ever let it go. But that was the price Madonna would have to pay for his help, eternal servitude. And it would, quite literally, be eternal.

Soon enough, he came to wandering in the garden. His body was bathed in the silver luminescence of the moon as he strode through the well kept garden. It was a maze of flowers, bushes and trees; one which he navigated expertly when one considered that he wasn't even paying attention to where he was going. After perhaps an hour or so, the male found himself at the garden entrance which led into the foyer. Any other day, he wouldn't have thought much of it, but tonight the doors were open. They weren't normally left open at night, which led to the question of why they were open. Who had opened them?

Curiosity aroused for the moment, Kyrian approached the open doorway in search of the culprit. It took only a few minutes for him to locate the one who had opened the doors...or who he had assumed opened the door. She was the only person in the foyer area after all. He walked over to the girl and leaned towards her with a smirk. "Are you sure you want to leave that door open? Didn't anyone ever tell you that monsters lurk in the dark?" He questioned, grinning wickedly at the female who had her eyes closed. As he allowed his gaze to take in her full form, the vampire noted with approval that she was rather beautiful and wondered if perhaps she was one of the 'pets' housed within these walls.

Ever lost track of time. She didn't even notice that all of the people, except for herself, had already left the foyer and retired for the night. Ever didn't care. She absorbed the scents of the nightly breeze and became lost in her own world. She could smell the roses, the daffodils, and the freshly trimmed hedges. She could even smell a pond that had water lilies gently caressing its surface and frogs that went croak in the night. Despite herself, Ever had never felt more at peace then at that moment. With the slight breeze from the open doors and the chill it sent throughout her body, Ever was actually relieved that she received the invitation to the castle. She would have gladly stayed like that all night, if it weren't for the strange scent that came in through the doorway.

Ever jumped a little at the sound of the man's voice. Lost in her own world, she didn't even notice his footsteps come in through the door or even hear him make the slightest sound until he spoke. Ever breathed in the air around her and stiffened. Than her lips broke out into a small grin and she opened her eyes, looking up at the area his voice came from as it was impossible to look him in the eye.
"I'm sure I learned that somewhere before but that was a very long time ago. My memory's not what it used to be." Of course she knew better than to be sassy around this kind of man but sometimes Ever just couldn't help it. "The nightly breeze can be very comforting at times, wouldn't you agree Mr. Vampire? After all, you are one of these creatures. You should understand that best."

Which is not to say you aren't already lovely." He added the second part after a moment, mirth twinkling within the depths of his golden eyes and laughter held within his voice. He cocked his head to the side, waiting for some form of response from the female since she seemed to be lost within her own mind. Mel could be patient, it wasn't that hard a trait acquire. Not so long as one put their mind to the task of it. This particular male had been granted numerous occasions to practice the skill since his youth due to his parents's occupation as well as his own.

Melchior sighed softly and nodded his head in agreement. "I can only imagine." He commented, with a rueful smile. The blond had been fortunate enough to be raised by two loving parents and grow up in a very family oriented atmosphere. Everyone from the troupe treated each other as though they were related. In a sense, they were. Not by blood, but by their talents. That was what had brought the group together after all, the gifts they shared. In all honesty, he had no idea what it must feel like to have been sold out by his own family. Melchior simply couldn't imagine it, such a tale seemed like something out of a horror story.

A moment of silence passed as he watched her fingers brush against the flower petals. "Don't let them win." Four simple words, but he meant every one of them. If she simply sat there or moped around, then whoever had abandoned her had won. She had to rise against them, prove that something like this wouldn't be the end of her. "Show them what they've lost. The gem they let slip through their fingers. This really isn't a bad place to call home. Regardless of how you may have come here, I think you'll come to love it soon enough. Besides, if they could actually give you up like that, are they really worth your time?" He smiled then, standing up and stretching his arms above his head. "Alright, enough speech!" He held out his hand to her, grinning playfully. "Come on, I'll show you around."

Marie looked up at the door in front of her. Her master had just dropped her off here without saying a word. Marie sighed heavily and sat on the steps. This was her third master in three months. Was something wrong with her? Was she not good enough to have a master? With these thoughts running through her head, Marie just stared off into space. She could feel the breeze on her face, feel the sun shining on her hair, could smell the trees and freshly cut grass. She felt all these things, but still she had a heavy heart.
