Before had remained motionless on the ground, desperately listening for Vanna's voice. When his weapon had returned from her attack, he couldn't hear her voice. Was this the not-Aria b***h's doing?! Before gripped the wheel tighter, his singed flesh sending pain shooting through him when he felt someone touch his shoulder.
"T-Tika?" he slowly spoke, trying his best not to move his mouth. "H-how're the others?" he asked, unable to even open his eyelids.Maritess had been straining, exerting every ounce of her remaining strength to focus, to listen for a familiar voice. She wasn't certain but she thought she heard a faint whisper carried in the wind. Crimson eyes scanned the ground, amidst the various, tiny figures she saw the shock of pink and dove. Arms outstretched, prepared for a tight hug, leather wings folding behind her, just so that she doesn't smack into anyone accidentally. That is, anyone who wasn't "Lizzy!!! You're alright!"

Harrison felt himself being dragged into the same head space as B0nez.
Knock it off, that sound is driving me nuts.
Driving me nuts, B0nez repeated, with a giggle.
Harrison didn't want to hear old ghost pirate jokes. He held onto Bonez's handles. He couldn't reach the head or torso. Not from here. And in a misplaced moment of adrenaline, and more than suffering from the insanity spike, he wondered how Halloween creatures handled hamstringing. The wondering was not really insane.
The acting on it was.

Lizzy ran into Tess' arms; she was just glad that after all that, Tess was figuratively still in one piece; she was afraid that her friend had been lost in all the chaos following the beast-which-might-be-Red's appearance.
"I... I don't want to attack that," She rubbed the tears away using the back of her hand, but fresh tears rolled down her cheeks as she looked up at the giant monstrosity, "What if it really is the Professor...?"

Tikaanis was silent as she listened to Before. Frantic thoughts of what to do and what to say passed through her mind. She wasn't sure. Wasn't sure what there was to say. "You're fine ..?" Her tone was just as unsure as she was. "I'll stay here okay." Atti was laid down for a moment while Tika took Befores free hand in to her own and squeezed. "Were all fine okay. Don't worry." This felt strange. Comforting some one felt so surreal to her. There was a familiar panicking pain springing from her chest similar to the time that Gale had been knocked out.

Tess wordlessly just hugged Lizzy, focusing not on the other students attacking and being attacked and possibly dying all around them but on the feel of her friend in her arms. Lizzy's presence was grounding and calming, despite their faces being tear-streaked and that they were covered in soot and grime. Tess risked tearing her attention away from the demoness to stare at what had been their Professor.
"It, it doesn't seem to be Red anymore. Sh-she would have been able to control herself if it was. M-maybe attacking her would be like, like, I don't know, slapping someone who was having a fit? J-just a strong enough blow to wake them?"

At Tika's assurance that he was fine, the Life Hunter trainee would have laughed if it didn't hurt so ******** much.
Wa- -r lang-ge, sil- -fore. Vanna chided, her voice broken like a crackling radio's static. The sound had relief flooding through Before and without thinking, he squeezed Tika's hand back in thanks.
"Y-you're gonna have to be my eyes for a bit. Can't... hear Vanna's voice too good."

"Vanna? Your weapon?" She couldn't remember if Before had shared this piece of info with her or not. But Tika would make a note that Befores weapon was Vanna. At least, Tikaanis assumed that Before was talking about his weapon.
"Me and Atti will have your back. But you need to stand first." She released Befores hand and grabbed hold of Atti and got up on her own two feet. This wasn't the place to be getting to emotional. They could die here if they weren't careful.
You laid me down on the ground in the DIRT like some COMMON weapon!? YOU LAID ME DOWN IN DIRT!? HOW COULD YOU.
The teen rolled her eyes.
I'll polish you when we get back. If we get back.
The certainty of survival at this point was a bit unclear.

"Well..." Her gaze shifted from Tess to the beast, and then back to Tess again, "I-if you say so..." Begrudgingly pulling away from Tess, she put on her best 'determined' face before dodging both friends and foes alike in order to reach the beast's large tail. Since it was a little too high for her to deliver a swift kick to, she used her silk in an attempt to cut at it.
"Professor! If that is you, please - we need you back!" She was sure her yelling could not be heard, but she just... Needed it off her chest.

There was a pounding sound, like running footsteps, and Gale swung around, the rifle still held up and at the ready as the female creature from earlier came towards him.
He had no need to defend, however; just as she was about to swing her swords a him there was a sound like something flickering and the two weapons simply...disappeared from sight.
<< It's her. >> said Jinhai. << The professor. She's causing everything to run haywire. >>
Gale turned towards the panicked looking creature, lifting a brow.
"You're certainly a persistent one."
There was a familiar voice a few feet away - Gale, giving one last bored look at the Halloween creature, darted off towards Before and Tika, slowing to a stop once he reached them.
"Are you two okay? What's wrong with Before?"

"You don't understand!! I have to help her!" Shehk pulled at her hair, as if possessed by some sort of blind madness that was trying to take her over. The air waned between thick and thin - between suffocating her from no FEAR and taunting her with something that was trying to pretend to be just that. It was intoxicating every sense she had, eating at her mind and infuriating every ounce of sense she had. She was weak - she was only there because others had helped her get there. Toby, Nukpana...Red.... and now she was trying to desperately to think of a solution. If Riley had been there, she would have known what to do.
She would have had an answer for everything - a battle plan. The mindflayer had a much better mind for these sorts of things. Shehk didn't. All Shehk had was gut instinct and enough logic to not get herself killed. Though right then she was on a crash course for destruction at the hands of the rampaging beast that sought to kill them all.....or perhaps she was only killing them 'all' by a side effect.
"If there is some chance..some small chance for me to save her, I have to find it. I can't be attacking these meat-Popsicles when I should be looking for a sign. For anything! We are Halloween, we stand for our own!" Had Red stood for them when she'd been parading as a hunter? The thought passed through her mind for a moment before she started moving forward towards the fray. "I can't just attack her while she's down and tell myself later that it was all I could do."

Tika gave a small nod to Gale as he approached. "I'm alright. Befores not. I think he may need our help seeing." Her eyes wandered back down to Before. It was really unsettling to see him like this. She couldn't stare to long, her eyes went back to meet Gales. There was a pleading look there that she didn't mean to give away. But really, it was hard on Tika to see her team mates hurt. "I think maybe if we stick together in this we will be alright." At least she hoped.

"Before," said Gale, a note of exasperation in his voice. "Haven't you got anything better to than go blind in every fight?"
He was not really mad, however; in fact, he'd hoped the teasing would ease the anxiety within Tika's eyes - the apprehension he had never seen before, not with the girl who was so confident and put together most of the time, who had helped get him out of that damned room before.
Gale's grip tightened on Jinhai.
Don't get attached.

Everything seemed to happen so fast. The chaos of the battlefield was overwhelming - all Madison knew was that one moment she was fighting, the next something huge was rearing over them all, a blast of fire sweeping over the field. Again.
Madison yelped and dropped to one knee as flame engulfed her for the second time that day, and a foul scent haloed her as a bit more of her hair gave up the ghost and crisped up into a melted mass. Thankfully, as before, Kouki's power protected her from terrible injury; her skin crawled as, for a moment, she contemplated what her fate would have been without her weapon's aid.
It was only then that she got a clear view of what was attacking them. Fear gripped her, strengthened when Caelius gave the order to retreat and they realized their ability to do so was severely compromised. Madison crouched, frozen in fear as the other Hunters sprang into action...
We... oh... we want to... want to bite? Kouki said, sounding woozy.

"After!" Before weakly smiled, turning towards the other direction Gale's voice came from. Still looking at the wrong direction, he tried to chuckle, "Kinda wish I had my mask back," He winced with each word made. ******** this really hurt. He hoped and prayed that maybe this was like the last mission with the hag-things. That this was just all in their heads and it wouldn't be long before Boss-dude-Caelius or Dr. H would be all Y'ALL JUST GOT PUNK'D and s**t.
For the time being, he told himself to relish the contact between him and Tika. But not knowing how Bix or Boss were doing made it difficult. If not impossible. "Dunno where Boss or Bix are. Neither of you see them?"

Gales humor was enough to soften Tika's look. He even got a small smile. But he did bring up some good questions. "Bix is probably fine or making a goof of him self. I'm.. not sure about Ariane. I don't think we have anything to worry about with her though." A teasing smile bloomed on Tikaanis's face. She was trying. Trying not to panic. This was what they were here for. They were here to protect man kind from monsters. Ugh. Stop being so sappy will you? BLIMEY!"I think we may need to get you sunglasses Before. We need to do that and glue them to your face. OR SAFETY GOGGLES!" She literally yelled the last part.

The painful blue-fire ended, flickering out of existence when the creature jerked her head up suddenly, her jaws closing with an audible snap. When the beast lowered her gaze to stare at the students and hunters, the glowing rune in the middle of her forehead had visibly dimmed; it still glowed, but not as brightly as it did before. Her eyes, however, will still vivid and burned with the light of Fear. Or was it Insanity? The creature snarled and jerked back as the hunters lead the assault against it, bullets and rocks echoing hollowly against her skull. But that was only the start of it; her assailants began to attack her, hitting her tail, legs, and wings. The creature growled irritably, shaking her head as another rock hit it. She who was once Red swung her massive head first to the left then right, searching. Where... where... She did not pay attention to the Halloween students; she did not notice the fallen. There was only room for one person to have her complete attention. There!A strangled sound between a hiss and a howl escaped her jaws as Red dropped from her two hind legs to all four. She lunged forward, trampling over some and snapping her skeletal jaws at others as she forced her way through. There was only one person she wanted to attack: Caelius.
