Ok, fairly sure I read this right, If I use my [Train] on toughness first, Then unless a genin+ hits me with a C rank technique, I won't take full damage, I'll only take half, correct?

You have toughness as you secondary attribute, gives you +1, use train and after your 50 posts you will have +2. As a Genin that puts you at a Sp. Jounin defense.
Also saying C-rank technique leave so many types of attacks open it can't be answered with a yes or a no. There are two many types of attacks. So I will give you a run down of how toughness works.
Toughness ranks let you deal with blunt force trauma easily, taijutsu, some ninjsutu, some explosions, pretty much anything that is meant to break a bone, you can deal with better. (I do not remember reading anything about cutting the damage in half.)
But when you are attacked with a sword and it cuts into you, then of course you are not as hard as steel (With out aid) and will have to deal with that wound like everyone else (You can manage pain a bit better, but thats about it.) Fire justu still burn you, some thing is meant to pierce you will still pierce you. Etc. Etc. So you will have to use defense jutsu to be a true tank, but if you just trying to deal with Tai defense, then you set but toughness does not negate all forms of attacks.
Also, not all tai style focus on power, so a C rank... after image, wont be as strong as the E ranks from my Chakra reinforcement, since my style focus's on power, and taking damage while After Image focuses on speed, and agility.
Toughness ranking is of course a case by case situation, and if this doesn't explain everything you needed to know feel free to ask more specific questions, but in my opinion fighting, and talking to a mod about how things work during your fight is the best way to learn how things work.

So wait... After image techniques won't damage me as much as your style's techniques... Even if they are the same rank.

My style is based off raw power, After Image is based of speed.
My style is stronger, there style is faster, and creates double images, the power being the punch is different, but each style is strong in it own way. Just like every style.
But say that some how Havik learned the after image fighting style (I think it has a speed requirement that he doesn't meet.) If he were to use one of the attacks from that style his base strength of +2 (After my training.) Will be added to the attack, so it will still be strong, but not as strong as the "Strong Right" that is in my style.
It seems Havik will be your RPc's teacher, so we can Rp some stuff out and help you see the way things work.

Ok, so basically if it relies solely on speed it'll go off of their base strength, and if it is a style that revolves around strength, then it will add ranks onto their base strength. Ok, thank you very much Havik.

That kind of it yea, every style is different, and can bring many things to the table.
Your getting the point though, I am sure the system will become more clear as you Rpc learns his own taijutsu style.

Quick question, where would I submit a pair of glasses that until they are taken off, they reduce your speed by one rank, and when you take them off your speed increases by one rank for the number of posts you wore them? ( The posts would have to all be combat posts, in which you could become injured. )

Ok, It has some really severe limitations, like friendly spars without malice, or want of an accidental injury would only count for 1/4 of a post, and the max number of posts you can go for is 10, and every 100 posts, you'd increase the speed boost by half a rank, so basically you'd become the same as a ninja one rank higher with the speed attribute in the teitary slot after removing them.

Ok, thank you very much Havik. Just keep in mind that no style gives an actual bonus to speed/strength/toughness, etc. unless it lists a specific rank value under it. Like, a style may say that a stage "increases the user's speed by a little bit," but it won't actually give a bonus to your speed unless the specific bonus is listed. Havik's style has a technique that boosts damage somewhat, whereas the afterimage style doesn't "boost" you speed, but simply requires you move quickly to get the full effect out of your after-image clones (thus the Speed attribute requirement). As to the glasses: No item will boost your speed/strengths just because it acts like weights. Wearing such a device will count toward [TRAIN], and will give the illusion that you are slower or weaker than you actually are. Like Deil: he wears weights that reduce his speed by one rank. What does he get when he takes them off? Nothing, except losing the penalty. That keeps you from accidentally revealing your true abilities in the heat of the moment, thus throwing your opponent off guard when he sees how fast/strong you really are. I have to ask though: how would you wear something heavy enough to slow you down by 1 rank on your face without it falling off all the time?

It isn't weights, it acts as a suppression device, hlding in all of the energy the body would be using when attempting to go maximum speed. And when taken off, the glasses release all of said energy and the user gains a boost. ( Basically kinda like DBZ, except without the instant effect, you have to build it up over the course of months IRL, because just gaining one rank in speed wouldn't be much fun since I already plan on my second rpc to be a speed shinobi, the glasses making him move at the pace of a regular shinobi of his rank. )
Think of it as Kenpachi's eyepatch, except instead of power, it retains speed.

Question time! The bloodline Hikari - Kuroyami {Dojutsu} says the user gets 1 more element besides dark and light. Now is dark and light considered a single element or is dark and light separate elements that would take up 2 element slots.
Also for the tweaks. Take the weapon class, at Sannin they are able to master 2 styles and a 3rd up to A rank. Could one say ditch their taijutsu style to be able to master 3 styles or would it be master 2 styles, learn one up to A rank, and learn 1 up to B rank?
