He entered the tavern and took a seat by the back door. A scantly clad girl came up and handed him a mug of beer. 'She's too young to work here looking like that.' He leaned back in his chair. 'She is better off learning housework.'

He waited till she came back to give him another mug. "Do you like it here? Having all those dirty and lustful eyes look you up and down?" He startled here. "If want a decent job with a wealthy pay, I own a manor across the dessert and there is a young lady like your self working for me as a fledgling maid. Meet me at the entrance of the dessert in two days, bring winter clothing for its cold where we are going." Then he looked her in the eyes. "I guard a caravan and I'll pay for your travel's. If you need and education, I'll pay for your schooling. I offer what no other Manor Owners do. Your first months pay will be big, so you don't have to worry over your family."

He lit a cigarette. "Here is half of the first months pay if you decide to come work for me. I'll give you the rest. If don't want too. Keep what I have already given you."

She scuttled away to stash the earned silver and feigned sickness to go home early. Crest smiled to himself. "Works every time."

He did odd jobs around the city. Moving crates at the pier, being a vilganty for the cities inner defense squad during the night. He would pack four hours of sleep into one hour. Making sure to sleep hard so his body could recharge on a whim for two hours straight.

By the time two days were up. Crest was checking the list of supplies that were to be brought across with what was being loaded. He turned at the 'Ahem.'
"Master, I am ready to go. I have talked ot over with my parents, they think that this is a better outcome for me. They have given me their blessing." She held her suit case in her hand's. Crest looked at the person who hired him and the man nodded.
"As long as you cook for us, your travel fee's will be zero. I struck a bargin for the caravan owner. There are 20 of us. You will stay with the female cook's wagon."
She bowed. "Thank you Master." Then hurried off to the female cook wagon.

An alert went off in his head, he pulled up to check the layout of his Manor. He didn't like the looks of one particular room. His own. Leonis laying on the couch with his head in a gaurds lap. Rage boiled over and his only rational plan was to do an emergency training excersise.

Going through the files, he pilled up the gaurds profile and read about him in detail. 'Thone huh? More like Thorn.' He began to list the upsets about this particular man. 'Leaving his post and entering my bedchamber with out me being there. Offinse number 13. He has reached his max so its time to see if he can redeem himself.'

He connected to the maids and gaurds systems. He maid sure to put a tracker on them so he can tell if they are doing their job or not. He left Leonis' collar alone, there was no need to wake the Angelic thing. =Attention all Gaurd and Maid Squads, this is an emergency drill! This is an Emergency Drill! You must participate to get a bonus at the end of Winter. Report to your assigned post's! I repeat! REPORT TO YOUR ASSIGNED POST'S! Failure to do so in this training excersie will not earn you the bonus pay at the end of this winter! This is an Emergency Drill!=

He watched cicles or maids scramble getting there weapons from their hidding spaces and head to there post's. Squares or Gaurds scedattle to get to their post's. He switched Thone's posistion so he was near the oppisate gaurd wall outside, clearly far from Leonis. The fledgling was still in training so he conttacted her via privete line and told her to sit with the angel since he put her in charge of him while he was gone. And to lock the door.

He smiled to himself. Effortless.

Crest left them to an hours stand, see if they weren't rusty. Making sure they were alert and aware even in tired state. The Angel was in good hands.

Going through the guard and maid schedule's, he changed the times around, He put Thone on the 3rd watch, that was from 6 at night to 6 in the morning.

"It's Master's orders. What he says, I have to do." She folded her hands in her lap. "Also, there was an emergency drill training. Master Crest put me in charge of watching over you in the first place." She remembered the tattered wings and suppressed a shiver.

"Master Crest, its time for dinner." He turned at the new fledgling maid who managed to sneak up behind him.

"Ah, yes." He went to go eat while sitting on the back of the female cook's wagon. "Still four days away."

She looked at him. "Those will be done on a timely schedule. Free reign isn't allowed till the Master gets back. Please bare with me on this. I am just a trainie, right now, orders come first." She glanced at the fireplace. "I think a warm bath should calm you down."
