He nodded and smiled, "I'll show you where it is." He offered and stood, he looked pretty much done with breakfast. The phone had its own little alcove with a small table with a pad of paper and pen for messages. Once he had shown him he put on his coat, "Aya, I'll meet you at the shrine when you're ready." He called

"Okay." Came Aya's voice.

"Any of you boys are welcome along as well." Mr. Aramaki added before leaving by way of the back door.

Dorian planned on going but he was a little confused by Linx. He was finished though, his appetite suddenly lost. He had eaten so much, however, it would go unnoticed. He stood, "I'll go with him now. Thank you, Mrs. Aramaki." He said and left.

"Thank you, Mr. Aramaki." Derek said as he was dialing the number he was to call. "Hello? Mom? Yeah, do you think you could send Dad over with some things? Yeah. No, we arent at the school anymore. Hold on a sec... Aya, whats your adress?" Derek called to the dining room.

(( gonk I don't wanna think of an address...Oh!))

Aya came called out the address to him then drank the last of her soup before standing, "Ma, I'll help you with lunch dishes if I can go to help papa." She said.

Mrs Aramaki smiled and nodded.

Aya smiled, walked around the table, kissed her mother on the head and follwed her father and Dorian outside.

Dorian walked beside Mr Aramaki. The stairway to the shrine was expectantly massive, the forest bordering the stairs was dense, "Its very nice up here, lots of animal life." He commented.

Mr Aramaki nodded, "It is a good life, living amongst nature." He replied. There was a short pause, "Your friend, the one that doesn't speak, is he ill?" He finally inquired.

Dorian looked over at him, "So you noticed he's acting abnormal as well?" Dorian sighed, "I don't know, he's been acting funny ever since before we left the school. I don't think he's sick..." Dorian frowned.

Mr. Aramaki was silent a few more steps saying, "Maybe not physically." He finally said.

"Not mentally, either." Linx's voice came from behind them. He was currently looking at a tree, observing new branches that hadnt grown bark yet. "Just have had alot on my mind, is all." He turned to them, frowning a bit.

Derek repeated the address into the phone, then hung up and went out the front door. Within a few minutes, his father ran up with a duffle bag slung over his shoulder. "Thanks, dad." Derek said, taking the duffle bag from him. "Could you find everything?" He asked.
"Yeah, though you owe me a few bucks for the toothbrushes." His father replied, grinninng. "Seeya later!" He said, taking off back the way he had ran from. Soon, he was only a blur in the distance.

Mrs Aramaki smiled, "That was quick."

Linx was suddenly airbourne as something slammed into him. Dorian pinned him on the ground, they had fallen into the underbrush. Dorian's pupils were very dialated and his claws were out. He blinked a few times then glared, "Don't frickin' do that!" He snarled, gettign up, "You want to get yourself killed!?"

"Boys? Boys are you alright?" Mr. Aramaki called from the steps.

"Hey, what happened?" She asked, coming up.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 17, 2006 4:22 pm

Linx looked like he was about to pass out, his eyes wide with fear. "I-I'm s-sorrry..." He managed to stay, un-freezing from theh position he had fallen in. He stood up and immidiotly heading back into the house, suddenly very afraid of Dorian.

Derek's head popped out of the door as Linx stormed past. "What happened?" He asked, the duffle back falling ooff his shoulder and onto the floor with a thud. "Dangit..." he murmered, piicking iti back up.

Aya glared at Dorian as he came out of the trees, "What'd you do to him?" She accused.

Dorian returned her glare with one of his own, "He shouldn't have startled me."

"Children, please calm down." Mr. Aramaki cut in authoritatively.

Aya blushed, "I'm going to see Linx, papa." She said and hurried back down the steps.

Dorian, had his hands in his pockets and was looking at his feet, "I'll help you still." He mumbled.

Mr. Aramaki frowned at Dorian then after his daughter and sighed, "Come along then." They continued up the steps.

Aya streaked past Derek and went upstairs. She tapped lightly on Linx's door, wondering if that's where he was.

"What do you want?" Linx's voice came, hurt and fear in his tone. "Go away." Came his voice again as he curled up into a tighter ball on the bed.

Derek frowned and followed Aya, but turned instead into Even's room, where he pulled a clean change of clothes out of the bag and set them on the bed. He also pulled out a toothbrush and put it on the bed, too. He did the same for Tip and Dorian's rooms, then stood outside Linx's door with Aya. "I have a clean change of cloothes and a toothbrush for you, Linx." He said, frowning slightly at Aya.

Aya shrugged and opened the door, poking her head in, "Linx, what's the matter, you've been so moody lately." She said gently, slipping in as if opening the door any wider would tip the balance of Linx obvious fowl mood in the wrong direction.

Linx remained curled up on the bed, not even moving when Aya stuck her head in. "Its not my fault I have no place to go after this..." He murmered.

Derek sighed a bit and gently pushed past Aya. "You can stay at my place." He said, pulling out a set of clothes and a toothbrush. He placed them at the foot of the bed and sat next to Linx's curled up form. "And, if you want, I'm sure if we can get the right adoption papers..." He placed a hand on Linx's shoulder.

Linx looked up at Derek, his lips in a set line. "You mean... I wouldnt have to go back to the Academy... ever? And I... I w-would have a family?" Tears threatened to fall as he thought it through.

Derek smiled and nodded. "I'm quite sure mom and dad would be fine with another joining the family..." He looked up to Aya for a moment, then back to Linx. "And i'm sure my little brother wouldnt mind sharing his room... or I could share mine. And you would have the fastest dad alive..." He smiled again. "How does that sound?"

Linx smiled and nodded, brushing away tears. "That would be... great." He murmered.

"Good." Derek smiled again. "Get dressed so we can help our hosts out with the messes we seem to create. I'll be in my room if you need me." He stood and left the room after setting a hand on Aya's shoulder. He dissapeared into his own room and closed the door to get dressed.

Aya shrugged, "Well I was useless." She said good naturedly and left the room. She went back outside and started heading up the stone steps. She was halfway up when she saw her father and Dorian starting to descend, "You're done already?" She asked, astonished.

Dorian, seeming in higher spirits than when she left him, grinned, "You bet."

Mr Aramaki smiled, "Dorian, it seems, is a very fast worker."

Just then, a large thud shook the ground. Each thud that followed seemed to be getting closer.

Tip, having been headed in Aya and Dorian's direction, ran back into the house. "DEREK!" He shouted, and before Derek could even put on a shirt, he was pulled out front. "Its Colby..." Tip began explaining. "He can grow really big, but wont know when to stop walking until it snows... If he doesnt stop walking... He'll probably step on Aya's house..." He winced at the last sentance.
Derek nodded and closed his eyes. Soon, clouds began to grow above them. A light rumble rang through them until it began to snow. Derek wrapped his arms around his bare torso, subcontiously rubbing old burn-scars.
Tip's eyes had closed also, and soon the snow grew thicker.
The thuds soon ceased, then started up again, but this time seemed to be retreating from the house. Tip sighed and smiled slightly. "At least now they know where I am..." He murmered, turning to Derek. "Thanks for the cloud cover" He grinned.
Derek smiled, opening his eyes. "I think we have a shrine we need to help clean snow from..." He said, giving a shiver.

Dorian, Aya, and Mr. Aramaki both came running down.

"Is everyone alright?" He asked, "Why was the earth trembling?"

Mrs Aramaki came out as well to look around, "Snow...?" She murmered to herself.
PostPosted: Wed Apr 19, 2006 12:05 pm

Derek smiled at them, shivering again. "We've got it under control. Someone was just wondering where Tip was, is all."

"Sorry about the snow..." Tip said, said snow shrinking until it was only a few whispies. "It was the only way I could make him turn around... " He said, scratching the back of his head and grinning sheepily.

Linx soon came out front with the others, and blinked at the clouds, going crosseyed as a snow flurry landed on his nose. He then spotted everyone and walked over, frowning slightly as he looked at Derek. "Why dont you have a shirt on... and what are those scars from...?" He asked, drawing closer to look at them.

Derek frowned a bit and covered most of the scars up with his hands. "The first time I discovered my endowments, I wound up in a burning building; a building I accidentally struck with lightning." He said no more and began heading back to the house.

Mr Aramaki sighed, taking off his over shirt, draping it over his shoulders, "Let's get inside, children." He ushered them inside, "I'm off, I'll be home in the late afternoon. Behave, all of you." But he smiled, reclaiming his shirt and grabbign his things he left.

Mrs. Aramaki sat down and heated Derek a small cup of miso soup, "You'll get sick if you keep doing that."

Aya, who had disappeared, reappeared with a shirt for Derek, "I got one of your shirts." She said quietly, "Want me to help you with the kitchen, mama?" She asked.

Her mother nodded and they left the boys.

Dorian ruffled Derek's hair, "Showing off your pecks to the ladies, I see." He joked and sat down with a sigh.
