Rachel walked from the door, and noticed Jonathan and the woman who just boarded the Dementia. "You two, head back to Divvytown and see if you can find Gabriella and Jemima." she paused, "If you can't find them, commandeer a Navy ship and head to Isla Olvidada, I'm sure you know where that is, right Jonathan?" She hoped the man knew, since she didn't have a map to give him if he didn't.

"I wish you two good luck..." Rachel then walks back to the door to Katherine's Quarters, waiting for Katherine to come out so they could talk about getting the ship far away from the rock that was Divvytown.

Jonathan nods and replies, "Make certain that my flag," he points upward to the Cross of Saint George on the main mast, "is flying from now until the point when you reach Isla Olividada if I am forced to get my own ship." He looks over to the waiting English galleons in the bay, "They still believe we are privateers under the command of my brother." He stands at attention and gives a quick salute, quick enough so nobody in the far distance would be able to make it out. "If we are somehow lost, it was a pleasure serving you." It was a lie, but he still held respect for his superiors.

The Englishman turned toward Cosette with a frown as he walked back to the rope ladders, "It looks like you wont be staying here after all. I'll need your help in retrieving the missing crewmembers."

Cosette watched the echange between the english man and the woman whom stood before the door. Lightly she had began to wring her hands together, figgiting as she stood there alone on this large ship. She wobbled lightly trying to get her stance, even though the ship was anchored she still felt as if they where swaying upon the high seas.

She blinked and snapped her attention to the man as he walked back to her. "Back down then.." she said with a soft sigh. Nothing like back tracking, and now she was going to risk her life? So soon? She bit her bottom lip, her gut sank at the thought of going back to port. She really didnt want to stand before the gallows...

A light whimper escaped her but she obediantly turned and began scaling down the rope ladder towards the boat that would return them to the shore. "So..whats the plan? We do have one right?"

"Well," he says, stepping back into the rowboat once more, much to the annoyance of the oarsmen, "you have your freedom, but if you want to live, you are going to have to act like my consort." Jonathan frowned at the thought of having to force a woman to act in that manner. "It's the only way the English will believe you are not a prisoner."

Cosette settled herself down onto the boat with a sigh. His words seemed to strike her near the heart. "Once a womans place always a womans place." she said softly, her lithe finger tips sweeping through her sea of raven hair. "So..where are we going exactly? Not back to the cells...right?"

Jonathan glared at Cosette for a moment as he gave a silent order to the oarsmen to cast off again. "Everyone on the ship is an equal until they prove themselves otherwise," he speaks, looking toward the shore with his arms folded. "We're going back to look for my missing crewmates. If we cant find them by the time the Dementia casts off, I'm going to commandeer an English ship of my own." Jonathan looks back to the woman, "Which is why I need you to trust me. If I become captain of a ship, you are going to have to be one of my officers."

Cosette looked at him, that glare seemed to pierce right through her, and although she didnt nessicarily regret her words, she was sorry she had said them aloud. In a place where women where objects owned by men, it was hard not to feel neglected, shoved aside and over all just as proporty. Which was, the sad truth of it all. Her fingers again lightly dusted through her raven locks as she watched him, her eyes following his to the shore line.

"alright.." she said, pursing her lips into a hard line. "But.. I dont know the first thing about boats or ships...or sailing, and although I do trust you.. I rather hope we come to find your mates, and make it back in time. Risky buisness stealing from the english here... How can one make off with a ship unnoticed..."

"In case you havent noticed," Jonathan says, tugging at his bright red Naval Officer jacket, "I'm their Admiral. They will follow my orders, just as they were instructed to do so by their Captains and Lieutenants." He fell silent once again, hoping his questions were answered to Cosette's liking. The rowboat once again stopped on the beach, just out of sight of the English navy.

Katherine froze, completely shocked and not quite able to believe what she was hearing. Daria? Pregnant? The idea brought to mind the vague world of childbearing that Katherine was very unfamiliar with, regarding it as landlubbing housewive's territory and not something she would ever bother with. She was quite familiar with the other end of the process, but never had Katherine considered that her dalliances would lead to anything more than a sore back and a good night's sleep.

Still, the captain knew that it usually required a man and a woman to produce children, though she'd seen enough unusual things in her career not to dismiss the idea out of hand. Katherine spared a brief thought for the elf still on her ship and conceded that stranger things had happened.

It was still hard to swallow, and Katherine sat up to stare at Daria in total incomprehension, vaguely hearing some words about a magic ring and linking the ideas up in the back of her mind, but still unable to deal with this bizarre situation. She was about to call a bluff and start laughing at the prank when Daria burst into tears, quite startling Katherine and distressing her even further.

Like most men, Katherine was not at all comfortable with tears or the shedding of them, so when Daria started sobbing Katherine had to suppress panic and scramble for an idea as to what to do. Gathering the weeping navigator into her arms, Katherine attempted to stroke Daria's back comfortingly, but probably ended up annoying the blonde woman instead.

"There there, I'm sure everything will be fine." Said Katherine, not believing a word of it. "I don't know anything about a magic ring, but I promise I'll find the b*****d what did this and give him a beating."

Katherine could only sit in stunned speechlessness as Daria raged against her, silently mourning the loss of the warm body from her arms. Eventually, the accusations and anger got through to Katherine's numb brain and stirred her own irritation. She had a severe distaste for being shocked, accused without reason, having delicate moments interrupted and especially being yelled at. Standing up abruptly, Katherine strode across the room and past Daria, stopping to look back only when her hand was on the doorlatch.

Her words came out in an icy chill, contrary to the firey irritation swelling inside her. "I had nothing to do with it. You can hardly expect me to want to have a wench the size of a barn, let alone go around turning my own damn navigator into a weepy mess. We'll be out of here within the hour."

With that, Katherine opened the door and stormed onto the deck, barking an order to the conveniently close master-at-arms to have the anchor up and the ship moving immediately.

Rachel nodded at the very irritated looking captain, she turned to go relay the order to some of those lazy people that were supposed to be the ship's crew. She turned her head back at Katherine's direction, "If you need someone to talk to, just go to my quarters," she playfully winked at Katherine, then headed on her way. When she finally made it to her destination he got ready to yell.

"Alright, get this damn anchor up and we're off to Isla Olvidada!" She smiled, hopefully Olvidada would still have that vendor who sold those tasty Monkey-Kebabs. She also hoped that there was a blacksmith in that town this time, last time they were there she couldn't work on any weapons, and that made Rachel sad. She laughed softly, "If there isn't a blacksmith there, I'm going to have to find somewhere else to make some weapons..." she trailed off, wondering if the Captain had taken her up on her offer.

Katherine was so full of irritation that at first she barely registered the master-at-arms' words, choosing instead to stalk about the deck taking her fury out on innocent deckhands. Katherine turned over the situation with Daria in her mind, thinking of countless ways it could have turned out and countless more things she could go back and say, but it only served to fuel her ire. To think, this morning the only thing she had thought she'd be doing right now was getting the sheets ready for a good washing.

Sighing harshly, Katherine kicked a loose barrel in frustration. It turned out to actually be a secure barrel, and she got a sore foot on top of her other troubles. Cursing, Katherine realized she'd wandered into the upper crew quarters, and was near what she vaguely knew to be Rachel's cabin. Suddenly remembering the island woman's earlier offer, the captain stared at the wooden door in deep contemplation. It was a stupid thing to do, it would only make Daria even more angry. Then again, since when did the captain of the Dementia let her life be ruled by the whims of a half crazed wench?

Katherine knocked.

Rachel smiled, it seemed that Katherine did take up her offer, or some stupid ship's boy is knocking on her door. She walked over and opened it and saw Katherine, "I'm glad you decided to come," she smiled at Katherine and pulled her inside, closing the door, and flipping the tiny wire lock. Rachel sat down on her bed, and offered Katherine a spot beside her.

Rachel took off her sheath's belt and rested it on a wall, she smiled at Katherine and winked at her again. Rachel then put her concealed daggers on the small table and smiled, "make yourself comfortable Katherine," she smiled.
