Team Alpha’s Moonlight

Name: Tsukino Kazuki
Ability: Barrier Creation
Location: Inside Mall
Thoughts: This must be what my barriers feel like...

Tsukino ran behind the others as she made her way to the bomb. She wasn't sure how she was going to diffuse this bomb and she was terrified of what might happen if they don't do something quickly. Well she didn't want to think negatively since they were the Xmen.they always saved the day right? Tsukino was ready to throw a forcefield around the bomb when she felt something slick around her waist. She prayed it was just her imagination playing tricks on her.

She felt herself being thrown forcefully from where she was previously at and past Toad.He seemed to be happy that he managed to catch her off guard. He was lucky she couldn't use her barriers very offensively yet or he would have got the beating of a life time. She saw the wall and closed her eyes as she smacked into it.She slid down the wall dazed slightly and thanked her father for hours of intense training that tested her physical durability.Tsukino grasped her arm as pain was sent through her arm and part of her back. She quickly moved her arm to make sure it wasn't broken.Thankfully she was ok except that the pain had almost knocked her unconcious. She looked over at Aurelie and she was saddened that she had left herself so open for attack. There was still time though. She could hold a barrier around Aurelie While she held the shield around the bomb. The barrier would protect her from the explosion when Glitter struck it with her electircity.

She reached her hand out towards Aurelie and concetrated.A orange rectangular prism shaped barrier formed around Allegra and then Tsukino formed a small sphere shaped barrier around Aurelie's shield,to lessen the power of the explosion. With her shield and Aurelie's working together, the bomb explosion should stay contained. She prayed her concentration would hold the barriers as the explosion met it."Allegra, don't worry I got your back.Just focus on holding the bomb while Glitter destroys it."The pain in her head died down a little and now was hurting from the concentration to keep her shields up.She looked to Raine who was ready to destroy the Bomb as Allegra counted down."It's all you Glitter!"She called.

OOC: Apologies for not posting sooner, Ive been busy unpacking and getting things together in my new house.

Rain washes away all

Roland held the bat in his right hand, his armored hand gripping the wood tightly, his fingers grinding into the handle. He watched as Kraken contended with someone with rather fluid like movements, and Covet dispatched a mutant with relative ease, those tendrils she called hair proved to be an effective weapon against an opponent. She tried to be clever asking whether or not the fun had started just yet.

Noticing several Morlock mutants appearing towards them, he responded in kind, "I do believe that the fun is just about to start." Three Morlocks appeared, one had a normally proportioned body: aside from his inhumanly large right arm clutching what appeared to be a Stop sign he was quite a normal looking fellow. Another had several arms, five to be exact, each one wielding several melee weapons including a meat cleaver and a hatchet. And a third and final opponent arrived with a rather cumbersome and grotesque tail: the kind seen on scorpions and the like.

Roland cracked his neck, stretched his free arm and burst forward. The gent with the stop sign started, going for a horizontal sweeping blow, something that he evaded with a simple tuck and roll. He got in close with the roll and opened up with an uppercut from his left hand, the blow connecting right into his chin. Staggering back, he opened himself up with his arms flailing back. He decided to disarm the man by taking his recently acquired weapon and lodging it into his right wrist. He bellowed out in pain as he dropped his weapon, the stop sign landing with a thud. Roland decided to end his pain, but a lashing tail caused him to step back.

The tails sharp blade slashed across the man's throat, blood flying everywhere. Either he was an idiot, or he was trying to prevent him from being captured. Roland hoped it was the former, because if he wanted to silence someone like that it meant this one meant business. He barely had time react past that as he was sliced across the chest with the meat cleaver from the other one. Taking a few steps back, he dabbed across his chest to reveal a bit of blood on his fingers. The red was washed away by the strong rain. Drawing his own blade, he readied himself and made the rush towards them. He decided to focus on the multi-armed one, his body a jumbled clumsy mess with the extra appendage.

He dodged a few of his blows, and waited for the perfect opening. He took immediate advantage when he tripped up a bit. He went into his immediate personal space and landed a blow to the chest with his blade, and spun him around grabbing him by the shoulder. Scorpion tail went at them with a powerful thrust, which lodged itself within his other comrade. He cursed loudly as he pulled the tail out of his friend.

"If you're going to keep doing that, we might want to send you to the Brotherhood. With your luck, you'll impale Magneto on your first day." he said to him, the blood from the kill washing off of him. The man then went at him again with his tail, this time he got him at the perfect moment. He thrust his blade into the ground, impaling his tail and pinning him there. He cried out in pain with a blood-curdling scream, which he ended with a strong hit the head. He slumped to the ground and surveyed all the blood and carnage.

More will come on this day, Roland though to himself as he readied to head out towards The Scarlet Witch.

Seriously taking a brillo pad to every inch of my skin... why can't I unhear that??

Hoshi quickly answered the blonde with a french accent. "I can fly." She said, thinking that saying she was a dragon was not only very vague, but extremly unhelpful. Wether at 1500 feet or on the ground, seeing dragon was going to make people panic. And panicking was something that would be really unhelpful. panicked crowds and bombs really didn't mix- and people were freaking out enough as it was.

Raine instructed her to help with the crowd just before Toad wrapped his slimy tongue around a Asian girl's waist and tossed her behind him. That's going to hurt in the morning. Hoshi thought as she winced in sympathy. “I prefer girls with brighter eyes, sweets. Who's next?” Hoshi had the desperate urge to scrub her ears with a brillo pad. Ewwwwwwww. I never thought that a pick up line could ever sound so lame and icky. She thought as the blonde creating shields asked her to check on the girl Toad had tossed. Before she could quite make it over to her, the girl stood up shakily and created a orange barrier around the blonde girl, calling her Allegra.

Seeing that she was okay enough to fight for the moment, Hoshi searched the area for Renaissance man and spotted him leaning against the fountain weakly. She extended her wings and flew over to him, touching his arm as she landed.
"Hey, are you gonna be okay? do you need help getting out of here or do you want me somewhere else?" She asked in concern.

Omega:Knoxx's group: Down in the thick of it in the pouring rain.

User ImageWhen the scene became clearer it was a true mad house. People running every which way, humans fighting humans just to get as far from the area as possible. It was clear that people were already dead even from up here. Bodies were all over – dead or injured by various forms: be it trampled, beaten, shot, slashed or stabbed. Those were just the mundane ways as it was sad to think for some to of died. That didn't even begin to account for the numerous ways a mutant could kill depending on the powers possessed.

It wasn't long at all before Solaris had begun issuing orders and splitting the team up. Which given the situation was a good plan not to split them up to much. Lillian herself was placed on Knoxx's team, along with Ace, Rave, Measure, and Psyche. There orders were to head down the east side and see what they could do about getting the civilians out of harm's way. Well of course along with seeing about neutralizing those of Magneto's cronies out on the street. Seemed Mag's has been able to recruit members of the morlocks to his side. She found that surprising since from what she had read on them according to the X-men's records they were a group that tended to stay to themselves. So Magneto had to of been rather persuasive or underhanded to get their help.

The experience Knoxx quickly came up with a plan to take down one of the most notable of the mutants under Magneto here. Avalanche was one nasty costumer with his ability to cause earthquakes, crumple buildings, and other objects. She just hoped the area at which he could affect with his abilities would be small but by the nature of them she was sure that wasn't the case. But they were going to have Ace one of the new members to lessen his abilities so they could take him down easier.

Knoxx commented to Lillian to grab some good firepower."No problem Knoxx." It was to bad Scott had already taken off to deal with the chief of police; his power would of been handy to have. But there were more mutants around so she would be sure to snag some fun abilities.

Her group was quick to action. One hoped off the roof, while the majority headed down the fire escape. Lillian was part of the latter - quickly but carefully as the metal structure had become more treacherous thanks to the rain fall from Storm.

Psyche stayed on the building using the long range capabilities to her and the team's advantage.

Upon reaching the ground as it appeared from above was pure chaos. The sight out of the corner of her eye seeing Measure's hand alone grow in size as he slugged a biker was amusing. But her attention went back to the task at hand. Measure disappeared to help someone thanks to the rain Lillian couldn't tell exactly.

Lillian slipped and landed on her rear end hard, back peddling to dodge a car that was thrown by one of the Morlocks. "s**t!!" She exclaimed loudly at the surprise reaction to the car that nearly hit her. Scrambling to get to her feet, Lillian noticed the large behemoth was heading toward her; it seemed she had been heard. Other then pure size she wasn't sure what made the made the person feel the need to hide in the sewer. That was till she got a closer look -- it wasn't a man but a woman who looked to rival Juggernaut in size. Being quicker then her larger opponent, Lillian dove through the morlock's legs. Sure she had skill in hand to hand combat, but without a weapon draining the morlock was the only way to deal with this fight. That is unless one of her teammates appeared in time to give her some help.

The water made getting her gloves off more difficult. Just as she got the glove off her right hand she was grabbed around her waist by the larger mutant. Thanks to the size difference it only took one hand to hold on to Lillian. To on lookers she would probably only look like a doll. Lillian was quick to react grabbing on to the fingers on the hand that wrapped her waist. The draining of the behemoths strength started immediately which thanks to Copycat's new found strength and durability prevented her from being crushed in the behemoth woman's grip

The ground in the area started to shake violently; the now woozy mutant holding Lillian wasn't able to keep her footing. Copycat was dropped as the large mutant fell. In a snap reaction, Lillian slammed her foot into the behemoth mutant's face. With the combination of having her energy drained and the force from the kick and her head bouncing off the ground from the fall, the massive morlock woman was down for the count. Lillian's touch never just absorbed just a person's power if they were a mutant. Nope it was also accompanied by memories as well as skills. Normally only surface memories or current thoughts if you will, were absorbed. But contact in this case was slightly prolonged meaning more memories were transferred. As it turned out, her name was Kelly; though, strangely enough her name among the morlocks was Behemoth.

Lillian's now downed opponent may have been unconscious, but was in no danger of dying from those injuries. So long as nothing major happened to her, she would wake up with a massive headache and a possible concussion. None of which mattered to Lillian; it was time to get back to the task at hand..

Bringing her comm up she sent a message the omega's on Knoxx's team. "I have an idea. I am going to throw something large and heavy at Avalanche thanks to this morlocks ability. Psyche think you can peg him at the same time. That would open him up for Knoxx, Measure and others to get to him to finish the job." Copycat said as a quick solution she hoped the others would be okay with even though she wasn't the leader of the group.

The sound of the rain hitting his helmet aggravated him. Not openly, or outwardly…His expression was that of a resigned, kindly older gentleman for several long moments. The forecast hadn’t predicted rain…No, it was to be blue skies all day. It wasn’t as if he hadn’t felt a familiar hunk of metal coming closer at mach speeds. Were his plan not already in motion, the wheels already turning, he might have halted them in their tracks… But his efforts much better spent keeping the good Senator under lock and key. He still had something that Magneto needed.

Leveling his cool eyes on the red faced human, he shook his head slowly, making a small tsk tsk noise. “You disappoint me, Senator…For all your talk of the safety of the human condition…You seem terribly intent on putting more and more innocent lives in danger.”

The mutants being held at our facility are a danger to everyone around them—And themselves! I’ll never let them free. Never.”, the Senator responded bitterly, the first edges of fear creeping into his tones. Of desperation…He could see squadrons of police, SWAT, and Special Forces being annihilated by the relatively small group of freaks this monster had brought with him. You won’t get away with this.

“My dear Senator…I already have.”, Magneto returned to the man without missing a beat. His hands laced in front of his abdomen. His eyes closed for a moment…Something that would have been a foolish move…Were it not that he could see electro-magnetic waves in the air that gave him a three hundred and sixty degree view of the area.

Something about it was bittersweet, calming. If you continue to deny my request… I’m afraid that I’ll have no choice but to give word to detonate the explosive device that my associates have placed in the mall. I’m sure that you know… The life of every man, woman, and child will be on your hands.”

It assured Magneto that the Morlocks he’d managed to sway to his cause appeared right on schedule. If there was one thing he could trust a human for… It was to know that they would always react with violence, to things that they feared. So very predictable. Turning his eyes towards the one remaining news crew, he gestured that they survey the area. The world would know once again… Mutants were strong. They were fierce, and they were superior. Evolved…The human race needed to learn their place, once and for all. “Report the news, my friends. Is that not what you do?”

They scattered off, relatively untouched, though terrified as cars exploded and as Wanda attacked with her particular skills it was almost…Awe inspiring to watch. Police had started to simply run from her as she blocked their bullets with her shields, her practical use of probability sending them ricocheting back into the humans that fired them. If Magneto hadn’t of had other things to take care of…He would have applauded.

His assessment of Avalanche would have to wait… Even through rain and cloud cover…He would know the bright red optic beam of the X-Men leader anywhere.

Signaling to the Morlocks, they would quickly seek out their position and…Deal with them. He’d asked that other mutants not be killed…But wounded, even mortally so, was not out of the question. Charles did not recruit the useless and lame… To destroy them without trying to add them to his collection would be…Beyond, foolish. “Capture the X-Men—By any means necessary! Bring them to me.”

Turning back to the Senator, Magneto’s smile faded—Becoming hard, and callous. “The clock is ticking…You still have your cellular. Free them. Liberate my abused brethren… My friend…”, he gestured to the Morlock beside him… “Will know, if you call any other number than the facility…We’ve done our homework well.

He waited…Waited in silence. But the Senator made no move to reach for his phone.

The Master of Magnetism sighed in disdain.

You brought this on yourself.”, Raising his fist, he squeezed it tightly shut, and the round metal cage around the Senator and his Administration squeezed them tightly together like sardines.

“You won’t do it—There are mutants in that mall too! You people are everywhere! Your people will -rot- in prison. They are a menace to society!”, the Senator yelled, his arm bent strangely from the angle that the cage had squeezed them in so suddenly. Just like you! You’re insane!

“Perhaps I am insane Senator… But when that bomb goes off…We’ll have something in common, you and I.”, Erick trailed off, glancing in the direction of the mall…It was too late now. It was likely already armed, if he knew Raven…What a waste. What a sad waste…A necessary reparation. In less than ten minutes…We’ll both be murderers.”

With a wave of his hand, the cage rolled down the stone steps of the courthouse, the men within yelling in fear and pain as their bodies collided, some with each other, some with cement as it moved.

“Wait!”, Kelly yelled, “Wait, Damn you! I’ll tell you where they are!”

The pale faced mutant remained stoic and silent, all but ignoring the man.

“They’re being held on Rykers! Rykers Island! Sublevel two!”

Too late...”, Magneto returned, face growing cold, almost boredly rolling the cage through the square, running over an official or two on the way. Of course, it was Rykers Island… Though I’ll be sure to pay the correctional facility a visit…You are much too late.

“It’s only a small sacrifice to save the masses. I’m sure your conscience will understand and forgive you… I wonder if the American people losing their families today will do the same?”

Mystique left the Gang of Five to do her dirty work as she brushed herself off, her hands smacking together. They would be apt enough to take care of the rest of these little ingrates without her assistance. The clock was ticking, and as green as these little Junior X-Babies were… She knew for a fact that they wouldn’t be able to disarm the state of the art bomb she’d left behind. Hell. It had taken Toad nearly six months just to learn how to arm it. Though, this was taking into account that his brain was the size of a nickel.

The bomb itself was clean…An explosive…But it was rigged to canisters buried in the lowest floor of the mall, deep in the sediment. The canisters were filled with nuclear materials that would slowly poison the site of this mall for years to come. It would take hours for the chemicals to rise to the surface… And by that point it would be too late. The canisters were filled deliberately with radioactive materials, not unlike that which had been expelled from the Chernobyl disaster…Just in much, much smaller amounts. It would only require several city blocks become evacuated quarantined…And it wouldn’t poison the atmosphere, as it had for most of the Soviet Union and parts of Europe.

The point of the bomb, would be for it to last.

New York had rebuilt itself after the first time Magneto had taken revenge for their people. After the first time they’d been mercilessly attacked on Genosha. Most just assumed that the ruler of their mutant kingdom had gone insane…No, they’d been attacked… And they’d retaliated. Magneto had destroyed so many lives, so many homes in New York City…They’d thought that the humans would remained cowed, and silent.

Violence, to protect their people.

But the humans had reacted in a way they should have prepared for…SHIELD came to Genosha and massacred everyone…Everything. Dropped bombs, and killed, and killed… Until there was nothing left.

Magneto believed that his first warning attack, though it had taken the lives of a million humans… And more than that, over a million mutants—Hadn’t been a lasting enough warning. When people in the area started dying slowly, painfully of radiation poisoning…Humans would remember their place.

He meant to make War with the flatscans this time…With only one side as the victor.

Mystique.”

The blue skinned woman stopped in her tracks, just outside the mall—Cursing her luck. Of course this ham headed canuck would be the one to delay her escape. “Wolverine.”

I shoulda’ smelled you a mile away,” he growled out, in a way that stated her scent was anything but pleasant.

She raised her eyebrow at him, giving him a dark, smug look, running a hand through blood red locks—Down to her shapely hips where her gun sat holstered. “Losing your touch, old man? I thought you were the best…”

He bared his claws, letting the middle one rise first—Before the other two shot out in warning. “Keep talking Blue, Keep wastin’ time. I’m still gonna tear you apart.”

You can try.”

Wolverine barely had time to move out of the way when Mystique drew her space age gun, firing off a shot that would have hit the man, were it not for his claws protecting his face. He growled and lunged at her, swiping swiftly as she dodged out of the way—Her long boot covered leg coming around to kick him in the side. It connected, but he merely grunted before grabbing her by the ankle—Spinning once to gain some momentum, and letting her fly head first into a concrete wall.

Mystique hit the barrier with a solid thump, sliding down it as she grasped for the gun she’d dropped—Eyes on the advancing Wolverine.

She smirked, as she found it just in time.

My hearts longs not to be of use!

❃❂❁❀✿✾✽✼✻✺✹✸✷ ✶✵✴❄❅❆❇❈❉❊❋❖❤❥❦❧ ☀

Soon, Alex learned Seriyu’s power was flying. Her lips tugged into a small grin as images appeared in her head. Oh what I would give to be able to fly! It sounds like it would be most exciting! However, her thoughts were drawn back to the situation at hearing Glitter’s voice. Her blue green eyes looked over at her briefly, realizing the truth of her words. Flying would do no good disarming a bomb. But, like Glitter suggested, it would be quite helpful in getting other’s evacuated and away from the mall. I wish I would be able to see her ability, but that can wait for another time. Then, Allegra seemed to reiterate on Glitter’s suggestion. But, the blonde haired mentioned Seriyu reporting to a “Renaissance Man”. I guess that is the man(Leo) that has been telling us what to do. At least I have something to call him other than “the man” now.

Admittedly, Alex hadn’t heard Seriyu’s comments about Toad. But, if she had, she would have agreed with them. For now though, her eyes looked towards her right. The blue green pools focused as she thought she saw something coming towards them. However, the French girl couldn’t be sure. Even if I enhanced my eyes, it would only allow me to see further, not see through objects. Thus, Alex turned back around just in time to hear Allegra’s reply to Renaissance Man. It seems he must have asked about the bomb from her answer. However, Alex kept her mouth shut and her curiosity at bay.

With a feeling of being watched, she turned her head towards her right again. This time, she saw a girl running towards them. She sent a strange dark ball towards Toad on her way over to them. I guess she must be Opaque. Their fellow teammate made it in before Toad got a chance of hitting any of them with his tongue…or so she thought. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a tongue coming at them. Her eyes widened as the tongue wrapped around Moonlight’s waist. It took biting her tongue lightly to keep it from sticking out in disgust. That is just nasty! The French girl watched as Moonlight was dragged towards Toad. For a brief moment, Alex thought they might have another hostage situation on their hands. Instead, it was a new medical situation was Moonlight was flung against the wall. Unfortunately, the sound of body meeting wall didn’t sound all that good. We need to get her medical attention! However, Opaque’s voice reminded her that they couldn’t go running towards Moonlight. If any of them did, they could be flung against the wall too. And we don’t need any more injuries.

Thus, Alex tried to focus on the main problem at hand. However, Toad’s voice made her shiver, her eyes reflecting the disgust boiling inside of her. Just…Ugh! I wish I could sow his ugly mouth shut. Then, Allegra told Seriyu to help get Moonlight out of there. A small smile formed on her face at Allegra’s wise order. If she can fly Moonlight out of here, then she will probably get medical attention a lot faster than if someone carried her on foot. However, Alex thought she could figure out if there were any bones coming out of the flesh. Even though the French girl knew she would be disgusted to the point of vomiting, if she such injuries, Alex felt any advantage was better than nothing. Thus, she closed her eyes, focusing on enhancing them as Opaque offered to help with Toad. Her eyes opened slowly, now seeing Moonlight as if she was right in front of her. Luckily, after a brief glance over, she could see no exposed bone in sight. Seriyu, looks like Moonlight doesn’t have any broken limbs, if her limbs going in the right direction show anything. However, I still say be careful with her. My sight can only show what is on the surface. So, she might still suffer from a broken rib or something of the sort.”

Then, she heard Allegra talking. Her eyes closed briefly as Allegra mentioned her and Glitter going for the bomb. They opened, after she unenhanced them, just in time to notice the blonde haired girl looking at her when she mentioned a “she”. The French girl blinked as she looked over at Opaque. “So I’m assuming we are taking him down then?” She tried to keep the fear out of her voice, not feeling so confident in her powers use in battle. However, Opaque might know a way that her power could help. Thus, Alex could only hope that was the case. “My power is not very offensive…It is the ability to enhance any of my five senses. But, if I enhance my hearing…I can make sure he will not be able to sneak up on us…and if he flees, I can enhance my sight to where I could follow him better.” With an almost shy glance at the floor, the French girl smiled slightly. “And since it will surely make things easier, my codename is Flairer. French word for Sense.”

However, Allegra motioned them to move. “It will probably be best to stay under the shield until we can find a place to move away and hide from Toad.” The French girl didn’t think going full frontal with the Frog man would be a good idea. Not when he can fling us against walls with his…t-tongue. Just thinking about his tongue gave her shivers as the group started to move towards the back. Her eyes kept a lookout for Toad, not wanting him to catch one of them off guard again. Luckily, it seemed he hadn’t decided to attack again…for now…as the group soon found themselves at the cash register Opaque mentioned earlier. The French girl noticed a flashing green light through the cracks of one of the drawers of the cash register. Is that the bomb? She hadn’t seen many cash registers up close. Thus, Alex could only assume they didn’t have flashing green lights.

Luckily, her question was answered when Allegra started to lift the cash register. The warning had not gone unheeded as the French girl moved towards the opposite direction of Toad’s last location. However, she did her best to make the movement subtle so as not to give off the fact the protection might have gone away for a second. The blue green pools focused on the object that levitated in the air now. It looked like someone was holding it with the way it hovered. Admittedly, Alex could almost not believe a bomb with such power could be hid in such a small contraption. But, the French was no expert on bombs. Maybe it is the smaller the deadlier? Her eyes stayed focused on the cash register as Allegra told them what she was going to do. I hope Glitter does well under pressure…because she is definitely under a lot of pressure right now.

The counting down of the three seconds seemed like an eternity. Her breathing became shallower, her heart pounding in her chest. I hope we do not die! But then, Alex saw an orange sphere shaped barrier appear around the bomb. What the? The French girl looked over just in time to see Moonlight putting a barrier over Allegra, herself, and the others. Well, that is some good news. Glad she is ok enough to move around. Her body felt some of its’ tension leaving it. But, it would not ease completely until they were out of here and safe. Then, the French girl noticed something out of the corner of her eye. She turned to see blood coming out of Allegra’s ear. I do not believe that is normal, let alone a good sign. With Moonlight’s call to Glitter, Alex looked over at Opaque. “Guess we should use this chance to try and take out Toad?” She tilted her head, trying to stay calm and collected…even though her heart pounded loudly in her ears and her body trembled slightly in fear. I just hope this plan works!

Omega: Courthouse -- Battling towards Avalanche

User Image

In the midst of confrontations, Kerrigan heard someone call for her to watch her back, the redhead recognizing the voice as Aren's. Instinctively, she whipped around, just in time to see the size-shifted take out the man with an almost comically sized fist. immediately, he went off to take care of a woman cowering with a small child in an alleyway to the side, the redhead Omega instead turning her attention back to the battle at hand. Her eyes scanned over the battle as she went, taking note of where her wards were and their condition, pleased that they were all covering Lorelle and at the same time holding their own in the fight. Of course, the sound of shattering glass behind her was not exactly music to her ears.

The redhead let out an involuntary gasp as she felt something hit her from behind, the redhead falling forwards and twisting around so she at least landed on her back. Seconds later, a man was on top of her, sending a fist into her face. The redhead let out a cry of surprise, rolling her legs up to wrap around his head. With a might haul, she flipped the two of them over so she was on top, driving her elbow downwards into his chest. A trickle of blood started down from the corner of her mouth, Kerrigan punching the man in the face with a grunt of anger. That'll teach him to sneak up on her when she wasn't paying attention. As his head dropped to the side, out cold, the redhead jumped back to her feet, seeing the rest of her team in their own endeavors. Unfortunately, she didn't see the one face she was supposed to be keeping a complete eye on -- Lorelle had disappeared in the chaos of the crowd.

Crap.

Engaging a rather muscular mutant lifting a large chunk of concrete to throw towards a group of civilians, the redhead ran at him from behind, engaging him in combat as a message from Lillian came across the comm devices. It seemed that she had acquired an ability that she could work with, and was hoping to use it as a distraction so the rest of them could overpower Avalanche and complete their mission.

"Copy-" she started to respond, her voice abruptly cut off in her haste to duck under a swinging rock arm, the redhead dropping low to deal a series of kicks and punches that continually knocked Rockie back a few steps. As he staggered, the redhead took a running start at him, planting one foot in his abdomen to propel her body upwards. Wrapping her legs around his neck, she released a powerful yell as she threw her weight backwards, using her momentum and his weight to throw him backwards into some exposed rebar and sharp debris. Pushing herself up from where she'd landed, Kerrigan engaged her comm once more.

"Copy that. Psyche, Rave -- let's help out Measure. Keep an eye out for civilians," she responded, tossing her messed hair over her shoulders. His attention was taken with Aren for the moment. This was their time to strike. And as soon as Copycat did what she said she was going to do, Kerrigan was ready to charge forward.

There was still too much going on. Bella’s significant other seemed to be taking on the bulk of the brotherhood members that had shown up. He was yelling at them to get the Songstress out of there. Then of course there was another voice, the voice of a man who she wasn’t at all too familiar with. He too was barking orders. A frown crossed Daylia’s slightly hidden face. Too many orders coming from different people. Did they not have a backup commander, just in case something like this happened? Obviously if the Alpha’s and Omega’s were all there together, Narcissa would have taken over both parties, but this, it seemed to be a mess.

With a sigh, Daylia offered a grunt to the black haired man who had caught Bella. It was a coin toss to what the response meant, if it was supposed to be a yes or a no. Either way, it didn’t matter much. She no longer had to worry about Bella’s safety, which freed her up to help Christian with the bug ladies. He had asked her something about dividing and conquering. Though before she could really respond, the first bug thing flew at him.

Daylia returned her attention to the other bug. Everyone else had been taken care of for the moment, or at least they were being taken care of. Daylia’s power kicked back into full swing, making the distortion less visible as she moved. She hoped the bugs had the distorted vision that others speculated that bugs did. She knew in this situation something like that would work to her advantage. She turned slightly to see where exactly Digger had planted herself after receiving the orders. Hopefully she could handle herself.

Though before Daylia could do anything about the second Asian bug, the dark haired guy that was giving directions, the one that had taken Siren out to safety, was back and challenging the flying Asian. She blinked several times before looking back over to Christian. Orders to retreat and then orders not to retreat were given. Seriously, which one was it? Cause the fact that the dark haired man had come back made it even more confusing. Either way, it didn’t matter she was directed to help with the fight. Sidetrack was on the ground, and looked like he needed some help of his own.

Daylia’s orbs scanned the area. For the most part everything else was being taken care of once again. It would be best for her to stay out of Gideon and the panther’s way. The water manipulater and metal manipulater were dealing with the lava mutant, which seemed the best way for that to go. The confusing dark haired man was already being helped by someone else. And a few others were dealing with the bomb issue.

So of course that left Daylia’s fellow Omega, Sidetrack. She extended her hand to him to help him up, allowing the background colors to completely drain from her figure.
"Come on, up, up, up." She said. "Let’s take this whore out."

Omega - Towards the Courthouse - The Fly

User ImageMaddy shook her hands violently, water flying off of them as she crouched on rooftop. The rain did not bother to cease, soaking every bit of her that wasn't covered by her cloak. From somewhere below, she heard a shout. The girl couldn't be sure as to whether it was one of her people or not.

Either way, the next shout was her own.

Madison had gotten back up and continued to fire back down onto the ground, trying to keep what seemed like an unending stream of Morlockes from getting too close. Of course, the larger ones seemed to be the ones getting passed despite her. Some kind of behemoth had managed to run right through a flurry of her psi-arrows on towards the group, and, with the distinct look of being completely insulted, Psyche saw from the corner of her eye as Lillian took the thing down.

That second was enough for one mutant to make it's way up to Maddy. She heard it before she saw it. A loud, incredibly irritating buzzing noise pieced the air, and from her side Maddy was knocked down. The girl's soaked black hair whipped out of her eyes as she reached for her bow. another blow came, striking her back. Letting out an involuntary yell, Maddy spun sideways, flipping herself back up. Something that resembled Jeff Goldblum crossed with a fly zipped back and forth before her before landing crouched on the rooftop. She couldn't stand the ones that could fly...

"What," it shouted in some high pitched voice, "Mad dat us Moy-lockes is finally getting out inta de sunlight?" It took off again, floating in front of her with a smug expression on it's face. Somehow it must have thought that it took down one of the almighty X-Men. "By da way, I hear Magneto wants a word wit'cha, so--"

Two psi-blades appeared in Maddy's hands as the intercom in her ear went off with Lillian's voice. Finally they were going to move on, and apparently Lillian had gotten some muscle from that beast that had burst through Maddy's line before.

Looking at the mutant in front of her she sighed, then straitened into a ready stance. "No, I'm not mad," said the girl just before the other came flying at her again, hoping to strike another blow. Madison rolled under it, thrusting both arms upward at the last moment. "I'm just a little upset."

She heard a scream and a crashing sound behind her. The thing a had fallen onto the roof, both of it's wings torn. The compound eyes looked around frantically, but were only met with a swift kick to the face. "...but don't you worry your pretty little, bloodied face. I've been fancying a chat with Mr. Neto for a while now."

The thing had gone down, probably just unconscious, and Maddy pressed her comm link as she headed down the street, jumping over barriers r gaps between the row-homes. "Yeah, sorry, I'll be there Copycat," the girl said, panting. As if on cue the building she stood on begin to shake, and she could hear glass shattering, falling to the ground below. The girl tried to gain her balance, but all that happened was that her boots slipped in place. "Let's make it quick, 'cause I don't feel like coming down with these buildings, thanks."

That, of course, wouldn't have been any more pleasant for her than any mutant on the ground, or the one or two civilians who still hadn't figured their way out yet. Aren had been trying to push them along, apparently, but from her height it was hard enough picking out targets through the ran without having to figure out which ones were just dim-witted humans and which were enemies without trying to shepherd them.

Can't tell the reasons-- I did it for you...
When lies turn into truth... I sacrificed for you
You say that I'm frozen-- But what can I do?
It tears me apart that you will never know...

Name: Ƞarcissa "Cissa" Ƚucania
Team: Ѻmega
Location: Courthouse
Thinking: Bloody hell.

XXXXXXXXXXXXUser Image

Narcissa remained still, her eyes appearing bleached…Like a cloudless Texas sky at high noon. They glimmered as she looked between her two adversaries, electric and vivid as she glared hard—Filled with an inner light that should have been impossible. Even in the fading light, made darker by the cloud cover that Storm had brought—Though the rain, her eyes were luminous and threatening. Her hands raised, palms pointed outward, bright white light started to swirl in the centers. Her skin heated, causing swirls of smoke and steam to rise from her body—Wet hair the matte color of a paper moon.

“I wouldn’t come any closer.”, she warned the badly dressed, foul smelling mutants—That seemed to somehow think they were making the correct decision in siding with a man that had murdered nearly a quarter of New York City’s populace without a thought. It had been years ago…So perhaps they’d forgotten the panic, the devastation, the fear as the grey dust settled on destroyed buildings…On parks, and schools, and homes.

They didn’t heed her warning, and remembering the X-Men way of life just in time—Let her light flare from her palms as she blinded them both, watching them clutch at their faces, clawing at their ocular cavities. Neither man would likely be able to see for a good long time. If ever. But she supposed, it was better than shooting blasts so large through their chests she could see daylight through them. Blind, or dead. Personally, Narcissa just might rather be dead.

Her comm went off suddenly, and she backed away as the others descended down the fire escape—Or off the top of the building. Dice took off after a mutant that was wielding a tomahawk and Paladin seemed easily able to handle the Snake Eyed mutant that she’d blinded, and he tore down the alleyway, smacking into garbage cans, tripping as he went. Listening to the message while the steam-punk mutants stormed closer, she smirked. Good old, old Emma. Pulling students straight off of other teams to offer them more support.

She was either the stupidest telepath ever, for sending her a newbie in the middle of all this…Or a bloody damn genius. Which, Narcissa could never be sure. He ran fast? Her ever calculating mind quickly deduced the quip and she ducked the swing of a tire iron as she brought her comm back up to her lips. “Welcome to the team, Dart. The Omega’s are split. My group is to the East, the other following Knoxx is to the West. Pick a team, and back them up.”

“Don’t do anything stupid.”

She always heard murmurs, discussed new potential Omega’s with the White Queen when the opportunity presented itself. Narcissa preferred to have first pick, rather than taking the leftovers the Alpha leader left her with. But when the students came? That happened when Emma thought them ready.

Moving around the metal ladder of the fire escape, that only came half way down, she put it between herself and the mutant swinging at her—Dodging artfully until she could find an opening that wouldn’t kill her. Staying on the defensive wouldn’t win any battles. But the whole world was watching…Or would be. Rivers of blood and gore wouldn’t help anything…

She didn’t see the man that was creeping up behind her, but thankfully Jacen had dropped out of the sky, just in time. The female that seemed intent on spraying Solaris’ grey matter all over the alleyway kept swinging the tire iron for all she was worth. Narcissa tired of it—And a long, inch thick band of glowing light in her left her hand took the form of a menacing looking whip. It was the lowest heat grade version of her ability that she could use, without burning through flesh like a hot knife through butter…Snapping it out—It wrapped around the woman’s waist, and instantly, Solaris smelled burning fabric.

Not wasting time as the woman screamed, she jerked her arm and body back and pulled the woman face first into the metal stairs. She bounced off of them head first with a sickening crack, a flash of red showing on her pale skin as she landed on her back, unmoving. The sun goddess drew her light away with an open hand, and it dissolved into small orbs before returning to her.

The woman would have severe burns… But at least, she was still breathing.

Narcissa turned to look as Kraken muttered, ‘Ew’ and couldn’t help but echo the sentiments silently as the melty men went down the drain.

Again her comm went off, this time a report from Christian. She frowned, hearing that there was a bomb in play. Just what the hell was going on in that mall? Bloody hell. “Standard procedure for a bomb is to evacuate if it can’t be easily diffused…And since none of the Blue I’m aware of have expert skill with explosives—I hope the Alpha’s aren’t lingering.”

Her response was dry. Of course, the Alpha’s would stay and fight…They were Alpha’s. She dwelled for a moment, against her better judgement…Maybe the SHIELD whelp, or Gideon would have some knowledge that the others didn’t…But her lips thinned at the thought.

The Brotherhood recruiting was an understatement. It hadn’t taken her but a moment to realize that these were merely pawns that Magneto was flinging at them so heedlessly. The lesser chest pieces… “Stay safe Sidetrack.”

She worried…Briefly, inwardly for the Omega’s she’d sent with the Alpha’s…It felt wrong to her, not to have the full compliment of her team. But orders were orders.

Her portion of the Omega’s seemed to work well enough together. Covet brought down a biker-reject with her hair, to Narcissa’s endless amusement, and her own response to the long haired woman was a smirk. Paladin had answered her question just as smoothly as Narcissa herself would have. The ‘fun’ quote un-quote, was just beginning.

Between the sheets of rain that only seemed to worsen, she could see Paladin fighting a scorpion-like mutant, though it was difficult to keep an eye on those with her—And her own opponents. The rain worked with them, and against them…It hid them, but it also blinded them. It wasn’t till a rustic scent hit her nose that she realized that there was…A lot of blood in the air.

Enough that the rain didn’t immediately carry it down sewer drains.

Her distraction cost her, and she took a swift kick to her midsection…Solaris hissed as she stumbled back, quickly regaining her footing as she launched herself back into the fight, managing to just barely avoid a rusty knife being buried in her gut. Some of them seemed to have mutations that simply deformed them, rather than gave them some kind of upper hand…Perhaps that was the reason why so many of them carried weapons.

If they were fighting to the death…Narcissa would have unleashed the fury of her ability on them, and ended the little tiff before it began…But they were X-Men.

Currently fighting as X-Men.

And X-Men didn’t kill, murder—Not unless there was no other choice.

She would have warned her team to be careful…Except that in Narcissa’s eyes, this was slowly degenerating to a life and death situation…As the team leader, it was her call to make, when to say stop…There was a delicate balance they danced, between being exactly like the mutants and humans they so often fought against…It would be best, to try and remember which side they were on.

The mutant she was fighting swung at her again, and this time Solaris caught the mutants wrist—Letting her power flow until the creature started howling in pain, the knife clattering to the ground. Again, the scent of burning fabric and flesh met her nostrils, and though the mutant struggled, Narcissa held tight for a moment longer. She glowed, eyes burning hellfire white, body like a radioactive cornfield—Lighting up her corner of the alley before she let the mutant go, and the light blinked away as quickly as it had come.

Narcissa breathed deep, letting her nerves cool and freeze as steam rose from her skin, before her hard eyes found the rest of her team… There were mutants littering the ground, Morlocks, perhaps, in various states of distress. But once they were put down, they didn’t seem willing to get back up.

“Press forward—We need to get between the humans and the Scarlet Witch, and hope authorities don’t start shooting at us. Cyclops was heading to talk to whomever their head honcho is…But don’t hold your breath. Be very aware that there may be gunfire. As far as they know… We’re just more of Magneto’s forces come to crush them.”, Solaris ordered, ignoring the whimpering, crying creature at her feet. There was no pity in her eyes…But truly pity in her actions. Her targets though wounded, would live.

And that was enough.

Narcissa brushed by Paladin with a halting hand to his shoulder—Her skin surprisingly cool, despite her previous display. “Be careful, all of you. The Scarlet Witch is extremely dangerous...”

"And by dangerous, I mean powerful."

The Scarlet Witch…If her file read accurately was like the mutant version of a Jack of All Trades. She could do… Nigh anything, with her chaos magic. Water came from manholes in huge jets, policeman taking cover behind their cars. Narcissa didn’t see Scott and that worried her… But one of the most efficient ways to show whose side they were on, would be to openly attack the one turning their very environment against them.

Raising her hand, a ball of screaming white light collected—Swirling and unstable, growing in mere moments to the size of a volleyball. Drawing her arms back, she didn’t throw it directly at the Scarlet Witch, but whipped it towards the ground without warning, sending it tearing through asphalt and cement, heading directly on target.

It made noise, gave the red clad mutant a warning.

Solaris was…Running an experiment. Perhaps it wasn’t the best idea to give their position away…But it wouldn’t be long, before that happened regardless. She wanted to know the extent of the woman’s power…

White eyes cautiously watched as her usually destructive energy reached within a foot of the Scarlet Witch, and was unceremoniously blocked by a shield, that to her disgust flashed pink for a moment. Her energy acted as if it had hit some kind of screen, and it turned into a mist, before fading away.

“Well that’s not good.”, Solaris spoke coolly, as if unruffled that her attack had so easily been dismissed. But she hadn’t…Known what to expect. Certainly, not that. “Fan out Omega’s… We attack from all sides. Perhaps her shields won’t be as strong if she has to divide her focus.”

Either way, it would give the police and other authorities the chance to run.

“My father wants to speak to you. All of you. I’d rather not have to ruin his plans by killing any of you.”, came the soft, rather smoky voice of the Scarlet Witch. Her hand was raised, palm outward…Maintaining the shield that kept her safe. A sudden red beam of light cut out, and the Scarlet Witch moved her hand. Just as the white energy had done, the red energy disappeared in a harmless haze. “But he has no use for you Cyclops… He said that you made your choice, long ago.”

The woman didn’t so much as blink, but the police car that Cyclops stood behind moved—And as it did, the dozen or so uniformed officers that had been defending themselves open fired on her. She merely laughed, but instead of their bullets turning to dust—They returned back from where they’d come from.

Some of the bullets hit police cars, but most of them found purchase in their shooters. There was a brief moment, where the men stood shocked…Before some of them slumped down, neat holes in their foreheads.

Narcissa blinked…Unwillingly, her stomach sinking. There hadn’t been time to react… Not like she, or anyone else in her group could move fast enough to stop a bullet. Half a dozen men, dead in an instant. Her eyes narrowed as she yelled towards the remaining men, gaze never leaving the Scarlet Witch as she headed towards them—Avoiding what looked like potential live wires going on the ground. Jesus…The ground was all wet. Someone was going to get electrocuted. “Get the bloody hell out of here!”

Go!
, she barked out furiously, figuring that Scott had come through and convinced the local law enforcement of who’s side they were on. Some of them were still white faced, while others readied their guns…Not ready to give up while their friends had died right before their eyes.

The Scarlet Witch was getting bored… Which was never a good sign. She sent a hex bolt towards the gutters from the building closest to Paladin and Covet, and another towards one of the fire escapes. The gutters reached like hands, trying to wrap around Paladin and Covet—While the fire escape broke free from the building and seemed to twist and shake, forming some kind of twisted structure that seemed to come to life…Metal rustic jaws made of railings snapping at Kraken. “Please X-Men…Do make this easier on yourself. My father only wants to talk to you.”

Narcissa’s gaze turned towards the Scarlet Witch—And then back towards the police officer she was standing near. His hands were shaking as he held his gun. He was…Endlessly brave, or stupid. The man’s eyes were glazed over…He was going into shock. Snatching his rifle, her hands melted clear through the nozzle and she tossed it away as Cyclops shot another beam at their enemy “If you want to live…Get your friends…And get -out- of here.”

Humans were nothing but cannon fodder and collateral damage. The X-Men were -special- for the time being. Magneto wanted to have tea and crumpets with them.

A flash of red light near her made her step back as the Police Officers in the area retreated to ‘regroup’ for the time being. Narcissa moved, but not fast enough, distracted by a large metal cage rolling around with…Screaming people in it… And for a moment—Time seemed to slow around her… As if a choice was being made…Before suddenly she was thrown backwards by what looked to be some kind of…Red sphere.

“Surrender, students of Xavier. It is the only option.”

Alpha - Mall - Make it go Boom!

Raine's eyes widened slightly as a slimy tongue wrapped around Tsukino's waist, throwing her around like she was a rag doll. As the girl's body landed, she winced slightly, hazel eyes narrowing as the greenish-skinned freak eyes the rest of them. Allegra was quick to respond, instructing Seriyu to get their injured teammate out of the danger zone, while Bianca proposed that the others take care of the Brotherhood member. While the other girls focused their attentions on their enemy, Raine's eyes moved to Allegra, noting the subtle indications of stress that were increasing how that their other shield-holder had been taken out of the equation. However, she was impressed with the way the blonde continued to push forward, leading them to a cash register with a strange green glow emanating from inside.

"I'll cover you, no worries," the brunette responded as her teammate whispered her concerns about lifting the bomb and being able to maintain the shield around the group at the same time. Her skin still sparkled with repressed electricity, bristling just under the skin and ready for use should the need arise. Eventually, however, Allegra managed to get the register loose from the counter, lifting it into the air and informing her that it was now Raine's time to shine. Tsukino seemed to come through, forming a shield as well. She said something, calling for Raine to take action, which she semi-ignored. Her attention was on what was about to happen -- this could either work or would go horribly wrong. But, now was not the time to think of such things. The brunette gave a short nod as Aurelie readied them to do what they came here to do, turning her entire attention towards the floating cash register. The blonde began to count, Raine swallowing hard.

One. Her hands balled into fists.

Two. Her left arm extended outwards, towards the hovering register.

Three.

An arc of lightning moved from her palm towards the cash register, the Brunette shocked that their timing was so superb. The bomb detonated inside the shield, Raine turning her gaze away from it and to the girls holding the shield. A look of concern immediately spread across her features as she saw the strain on Aurelie, blood trickling from the girl's ears. She started to waver slightly, Raine suppressing any residual electricity dancing across her skin and grabbing hold of the girl as her knees started to buckle.

"Allegra!" she called out, both girls going to the floor. Her gaze turned to Alex and Bianca, overhearing the newer Alpha's suggestion that they use this time to take care of the slime ball that was part of this whole mess from the beginning. Unfortunately, before she really had a chance to answer, a rumbling deep beneath the surface caught her attention, the brunette looking around with a confused look on her face. They'd gotten the bomb -- what else had the Brotherhood been up to? Whatever it was, she was sure of one thing -- with their telekinetic out for the count and their leader shot, she did not want to stick around to find out without bringing in the big guns.

"Negative, we should get out of here. Now," she said simply, kneeling next to Aurelie and gently prodding her, hoping she could get the girl awake. It would be far easier to help her out of the building than it would be to have to carry or drag her. Granted, Raine had some height and definitely a few pounds on her, but it still wasn't going to be easy. And now, time was of the essence.

Lillian's idea seemed like a bright light at the end of the tunnel for the Native American... throwing something at him might knock him off of his kilter enough that they could take him down. To him, it didn't matter who threw out the ideas – so long as whatever it was could be feasible, and get the job done efficiently. “Sounds good to me.” He muttered, not bothering to transmit his input at the moment; right now, his eyes were too focused on the enemy ahead.

Kerrigan started to respond, only to be cut off for one reason or another; Aren wasn't quite sure. But she soon picked back up, saying that the plan was good to go. A smile perked on the Native's face, something along the lines of “grin and bear it” when Avalanche made another move.

He barrel rolled forward, side stepped a frontal attack and grew, wishing not for the first time, that he was able to grow larger in size more readily. He definitely needed to work on that. Maddy was busy keeping the Morlocks at bay, which left him to distract Avalanche for just a bit longer.

Just long enough for Lillian to toss a car. “Do me a favor, Copycat...” He jumped to the side again. Basics of Muay Thai: Side step, never back away. You don't get cornered by the prior. “Don't miss.” He teased, still somehow finding his good humor in the midst of chaos.

It might have seemed silly for some, but for Aren it was a defense mechanism. Never, in a million years had Aren thought that he'd be fighting in alleyways of New York when he'd scraped together the money to come to the academy. Never, had he thought he'd witness so much hate. It made him just a little homesick, even if he'd never admit it out loud to his teammates.

Maddy said to make it quick, and he found himself giving a curt nod. ”I'd rather not be under the buildings that fall.” He said, leaving the comm open so that he'd not have to worry about continuously pressing the button when he needed to speak.

Rain pelted into his back... he only hoped that it wouldn't interfere with Lillian's ability to see Avalanche. And that it'd work to their advantage – that the earth mover wouldn't see the car coming until it was much too late. “Any time now. He thought impatiently, just narrowly missing falling into another split in the ground.

Bianca gave Toad a look of slight disgust as the man delivered a line after throwing Tsukino. The words themselves were not bad put together but putting the statement with his face and personality made her skin crawl. The speed at which he grabbed Tsukino was so fast that she questioned just how fast he could be when he wanted to be. Aurelie told the asian girl to go bring Tsukino to a medic and Bianca had a staring contest with Toad. She didn't want to take her eyes off him again and allow him to get another attack in or run away. Though she doubted he would be running away anytime soon. Aurelie took Bianca's offer to help take down Toad and asked her to take care of him with Alex while they took care of the bomb. Bianca looked sideways to Alex wondering what her mutation was but not wanting to ask her out loud. They could use a little surprise on their side. After all Toad was eyeing Alex as if trying to size her up. Maybe he thought she had some extremely dangerous mutation.

Considering Alex had mentioned something to the asian girl about the other mutant appearing to have no broken limbs was curious. Did that mean her mutation had something to do with her eyes? Bianca really hoped she had a more offensive power if she was going to be helping her take down Toad. Still she didn't want to ask and take away all mystery. Alex asked if they were taking him down and Bianca nodded faintly. It was obvious she was not very confident in her ability to take him down. She had already hit him once after all and he had got back up like nothing was wrong. As Bianca thought up the possibilities of what Alex's mutation could be the girl decided to voice what it was. Suppressing the urge to groan as they lost the surprise factor she looked over at the now grinning Toad. He had obviously heard what was said and was pleased he didn't really have to worry about the blond. "It would probably be better to enhance smell to follow him if he runs." The words were mumbled and therefore she didn't expect Alex to have heard her.

She didn't really know how the girl could be helpful in this situation and therefore Bianca tried to think up ways she could do this by herself. Needless to say things were not going well for her confidence. Aurelie was obviously doing the same as Bianca and questioning her ability to take care of the bomb in Tsukino's absence. Were she to have better control over the defensive aspects of her ability she would have offered to help with that. However all she could do with it was form a wall and a wall was going to do nothing to stop a bomb. Aurelie motioned for them to follow her and Bianca did just that. Eyes still staring at Toad as she continued to try and think up a way to defeat him as he stared down at them all. Alex mentioned it best to stay under the shield until they could move away and hide from Toad. Bianca shook her head no however. She was tired of hiding from him and quite frankly didn't think it would do much good at this point. "No we will stay and fight him. No sense in running. He is probably faster."

Not to mention they had to keep him busy so he didn't bother Aurelie and Raine while they took care of the bomb. The telekinetic mentioned it taking a bit for her to lift up the bomb to get it off the counter and Bianca thought she understood the hidden meaning. Then the blond started to lift the bomb and Bianca formed a bolt in her left hand breathing slowly as she considered the man. He seemed much too relaxed for someone who should be panicking as his bomb was being taken care of. Taking the dropped shields as her chance Bianca sent the bolt right at Toad only to have him simply duck it. He shot his tongue out at her and she was just able to dodge to the side and into a clothes rack. Her shoulder that had been grazed by the bullet earlier hit the rack and shot pain up her arm. It may not have been a traditional gunshot but it still hurt like crazy. Toad seemed content for the moment to play with her and it was clear that was all he was doing. If he was serious Bianca had a feeling she wouldn't be so lucky.

She spotted a orange barrier out of the corner of her eyes and was pleased Tsukino was back up. Still the barrier she formed had been around Aurelie's barrier and therefore she spoke to Aurelie hoping she could be heard. "You can do it Allegra I believe in you. Flairer try and watch my back." It was obvious most of the pressure was still on Aurelie considering Tsukino had formed her barrier on the outside of Aurelie's. So she was the one that needed built up. Bianca hoped the two girls could contain it without too much damage occurring to them yet blood started running out of Aurelie's ears and that hope went out of the window. Bianca wouldn't have minded hearing a few words of encouragement herself at this point. Forming another bolt in her hand she sent it up towards Toad again only to have him simply jump to another rack. His tongue grabbed a rack and flung it in her direction. Scrambling to her feet she started to move only to have it hit her in the back. Falling forward she winced in pain before rolling to the side in case there was anything else coming.

The bomb had been taken care of and considering Raine yelling Aurelie's codename the girl had went down. Getting ready to continue fighting Toad a deep rumbling caught her attention and she stopped what she was doing. "What?" Toad grinned at them then turned to leave. "Ta ta for now sweets. Seems our date will have to wait till next time. If there is a next time for you." He turned and started hopping away towards the entrance of the store and Bianca angry that their plan had not worked like they wanted it to drew all the darkness around her to her then released it all in one concussive beam that caught Toad in the small of his back and sent him flying out of the store. Whether he was down for the count or not she didn't know. She wanted to go after him and made sure he was down but she couldn't. Using her ability like that left her drained and feeling very tired. It was taking all her will not to let herself pass out from overexertion. Hurrying over to Raine and decided to help her get Aurelie out. Bending down she looked to Raine. "Here let's get her."

Taking one of Aurelie's arms and putting it over her head she hoped Raine grabbed the other. Bianca knew there was no way she could possibly carry Aurelie by herself. She simply wasn't strong enough. Then figuring it was a good time to let the others know that the disarming didn't go so well and that evacuation was necessary she brought her comm to her lips. "Uh Opaque here I have good news and bad news. The good news is I think we took care of the bomb. The bad news is something else is wrong and we need to leave and Allegra is down. Oh and the Toad may be down. I dunno. Be on the lookout for him." Sighing as she stopped transmitting Bianca tried her best to keep her strength from failing and dropping the telekinetic. They needed to get out of there quickly. A rest was definitely going to be needed after this though.

(Shoot me a pm if something needs changed.)

User ImageWithout Tsukino, their task at hand had become a lot harder; luckily Raine had caught that drift, and knew just what to say to ease the tension winding within the blond by just a bit. She swallowed a lump in her throat and gave the slightest of nods when the sparkler assured her that she'd play defense while the shields were down. It was then that she focused on getting the register loose, counting on her teammate to watch their backs. Once free, Aurelie lifted it high into the air, vaguely hearing a voice that had been singing in the music room just hours before.

That Tsukino was able to bounce back so easily would have left Aurelie astounded, had she the chance to be. But there wasn't time to even think about it – the countdown had begun, and the timing so key in this move that she couldn't stop, couldn't be distracted, or even happy that her teammate was alright. Relief would come later.

        After she recovered.

Aurelie didn't have the time to shift her telekinetic shield about so that she'd not take the full force of the explosion. To break her concentration to do that would cause them all to suffer. No... it'd be better this way. Elixir was still on base – he'd take care of her. Assuming that he wasn't already drained from Bella's injuries. Not the time to think of that now.

Just focus on holding the bomb.

Is that what Tsukino thought? That she was merely holding the bomb suspended in the air, so that Raine could detonate it? She'd find out soon enough that wasn't at all what she was intending to do. “Two.” It was only seconds away... fleeting moments that would determine whether or not they survived. This was one hell of a first day on the teams; one that she hoped didn't foreshadow a near constant state of chaos.

Bianca's vote of confidence caused Aurelie to give a brief, if pasted smirk to her lips, if only to say thanks for the moral support. Because as much conviction as the dark haired girl might have held... Aurelie was running with less than half of her energy at her disposal... and she'd never tried doing something so dangerous with her ability before.

An arc of electricity sparked through the air, crashing into the cash register just as Aurelie slammed her shields about the bomb, letting it explode within the walls she'd created. It imploded there, the sound similar to that of a rolling thunder just before a summer storm. To those onlookers – the black cloud moving within the invisible bubble might have looked cool, glows of orange flashing in the container. But the special effects was short-lived, because the explosion was attacking the weakest parts of Aurelie's shields. Never, had she thought someone would attack it from the inside, where it was most vulnerable.

And as her shields shattered, it sounded like glass breaking into a thousand pieces – and it felt like each piece that had broke off, surged straight through her brain, cutting it through like butter. The strain had been too much to contain... but the initial need for it was over – no one would be hurt from the bomb. Her knees buckled, but Aurelie was already unconscious, blood from within the depths of her skull leaking from her orifices, her ears in particular. Telekinesis was dangerous if overexerted; brain bleeds, hemorrhages, and comas could easily be the result of too much strain. And letting a bomb go off within the most vulnerable part, and holding on... had been entirely too much.

She didn't even feel Raine catch her, or try and coax her back to the world of consciousness. That state was too far gone. Limp, dead weight, the telekinetic was at the mercy of her teammates, with no actual ability to voice her opinion. But somewhere, it'd been one of her last thoughts – to hope they'd done it. To hope, that if they had, someone would remember to pull her out of the riot.

And maybe even faintly, she'd hoped that someone might be able to reverse any of the brain damage that could go along with letting her shields be destroyed from the inside out.
