If Z8 could see past the mask, she would have seen his answer before asking the question. He was grinning like a mad fool, finally being given the one thing he'd been looking for.
A way out.
"You bet your sweet a** I'm going." He stated, looking around for some way to sign the note with his information. "Where.. how the ******** do I even.. Jesus Christ, how are we supposed to sign our names down without a PEN?!" He slammed his fist into the paper again, and letters seared into existence on the paper.
A7. Alpha Squad.
".. Well that's just creepy."

Zeta Eight gave no notion that he had hit the nail on the head with his response, answering the exact question she had been 'asking.' Really, she was quite pleased that both he and Zeta Three could understand her body language... however limited it was. She didn't show this, of course. Instead, she merely looked back to the note, lifting one hand to press a gloved fingertip underneath his name. Just as it had with Alpha Seven's, her own 'name' appeared beneath it, this time in orange ink.
Z8. Zeta Squad.

As could only be expected of someone like her, Zeta Eight's question lanced into through him like a rail road spike through the heart, and it took everything not to wince visibly after the fact. Could he sit by and do nothing? Could he sit by and do nothing? He sat by and did nothing because he didn't know how else to deal with things. That horrible door was a looming gamble he couldn't trust, but at the same time, she right; they really couldn't stay here, either.
It just seemed like there was no answer, no truly reliable way out.
... And then A7 started hollering and pointing at something with such fervor that even he couldn't turn a blind eye anymore, sluggishly peeling his body off the chair on Z8's trail to at least see what caused the uproar. Normally, he might not have made the effort, but... No, there was something telling him to check.
Reading over the female's shoulder, immediately his interests piqued. That note. Surely, it had to be a recent addition to the lounge or someone else would have taken heed of it. For a moment, his heart actually gave an uncertain flutter of something like hope, but immediately Z3 tempered himself, remembering that, no, chances were that this too would simply be a trap of some kind... and yet....
With no life to lose now, the 'gamble' of some twisted game seemed so very favorable compared to his other options. Of course he wanted to live again, and if this... whatever it was... somehow offered the smallest chance of that prize, he'd take it.
"... I suppose it's better than nothing," was all he remarked, a far more even tone than before, before reaching right around Z8 to press his own fingertip on the paper.
Z3. Zeta Squad.
Was it hope he had? Maybe. Maybe not. But if nothing else, he now possessed a small distraction to keep him from mulling over what was probably still inevitable regardless.

She hadn't even hesitated. A7 watched her go for the paper, and as soon as the name had materialized, he scooped her up and bear hugged her until she could hardly breathe. When Z3 did the same, a surge of excitement started to swell in him, and he picked up the man in yet another hug.
"Ohhh, guys. Don't you know what this MEANS? We're coming back, baby. Phoenix will be REBORN."
He shook his head and let them both go. "Man. We picked the best ******** name ever. Didn't we b-"
His words caught in his throat as he realized - A1 had left before this second chance was presented. Phoenix would have to be reborn without their leader.
He was still sure of his decision, but the excitement tempered somewhat. It felt a little bittersweet, now.

Bee dutifully fist bumped Boss back as she said what turned out to be her goodbyes "Thanks Boss...I hope you find out what you want to know over there" She mumbled as she walked away - with anyone else she might have made a bigger fuss about this seemingly last goodbye but it was Boss and she'd never been the type for such things so Bee would respect that.
The way her laughter cut off when she passed through the door was unsettling, sure it should have faded..not just stopped...but then it was the end right? The end of everything...but by Boss' words she would know...know everything about her time before the gas masks and suits, before the island and her time with the Beta's. Bee wasn't sure if she was read to make that walk just yet so when Thor offered drinks she turned away from the door rather thankfully "Do they have anything good?"

"Good luck," A-Two whispered, inching over to A-7, Z-8, and Z-3, patting them all lightly on the shoulders. "I'm... like, I'm going to stay here. I don't want to go back. It was, like, hard enough getting here, like, the first time..." Her voice shook at first, then strengthened as her fear drained away. She was going to stay here. Where it was safe. Where nobody was going to crush her or breathe fire on her or stab her.
She studied the words then, and frowned. "It should, like, say Phoenix Squad. That's lame."

Thor was on his feet, walking over to the bar to look through the selection. It seemed to be well stocked, whatever he wanted was probably there. He could have gone for a tequila shot, except... Oh, they were still wearing masks, well that made getting a drink a bit more difficult.
He turned around to face Bee again, leaning against the bar with his elbows resting on the surface. So much for that idea, wait, why -were- they still wearing masks? They were dead, right?
"I wonder what all the commotion is about?"
He gestured toward the board where several other people had gathered.

E-12 heard the commotion by the bulletin board (was that always there?) and stood to get a better look. She could see a paper attached, but couldn’t make out the writing from her vantage point. Whatever it said had the red and orange people fairly excited so she walked over to get a better look.
“So you’re dead. Wanna live again?”
E-12 froze. Of course she did. The whole reason she hadn’t walked through the door yet was a paralyzing fear of suddenly being gone. E-12 would cease to exist and ... whoever she was before would be dead.
The part about volunteers was suspicious. The last time E-12 had volunteered for anything, she’d ended up dead. But now that I’m dead, what’s the worst that could happen? E-12 decided then and there that she’d sign up, but this time she wouldn’t leave her team out of it.
“Epsilons!” she called back to the others on the couch. “Come quickly! There’s something I think you’ll be interested in here!”
E-12 turned back to the board and delicately touched the paper with her finger. The following words formed indelibly beneath her finger in pink ink:
ε XII. Epsilon Squad.
“Oh.” she breathed. Well, it was done.

E7 titled his head as E12 ran over to the bulletin board. He got up to see what they were talking about.
"Interesting" He replied as he tilted his head as the words ε XII, Epsilon Squad, appeared. He tilted his head "Well if this don't sound promising."
He attempted to sign it as well.
ε VII. Epsilon Squad.
"Can't be no worse than last time."

Bee seemed to have come to the same conclusion about the drinks but ah well she wasn't thirsty anyways - hadn't been since they got to the island. Glancing at the crowd that was gathering a bit away she shrugged slightly before turning back to Thor "No idea...but considering how well the last commotion went for us I'm not all that eager to see." She quipped as she looked back towards Thor 'Besides...I was kind of hoping someone might show up and let us know if Before and Bix escaped"
And she was still wondering what had happened to Bait...since he wasn't in the room she had to assume he was still alive...or he'd gone through the door like Boss had. The door..she nodded her head towards it "what do you think of that?" She asked Thor "It might be nice to find out why we came here..who we were"

Distracted from his conversation with Spock there, Fiver turned to look at Fiver II and tilted head slightly. "I don't ... think I know how to do that kinda dancing," he murmured. "But if you really want me to, I can try." Any other time, he got the feeling that he might be embarrassed or just feel stupid trying to do that. But here... I mean. What the hell.
They were already dead. How could a little fumbling about whilst attempting to dance matter?
But then A7 started yelling about something. Oh what the hell was going on now. Fiver stood up and went over to where people seemed to be gathering around a piece of paper stuck to some kind of bulletin board with a dagger. So you're dead. Wanna live again? he read silently to himself. There were quite a lot of people eager to sign up for this thing, it seemed.
Fiver watched for a moment, then turned to his two companions. "Well guys ...? What d'you think? Give it another shot?"

There was a snort that almost could have passed for laughter as Thor pushed off the bar to return to his seat on the couch next to Bee.
"No, I wouldn't want to go through that again either. But I wouldn't mind going back if it meant seeing what happened to Before and Bix."
He too had been hopping for some word, some news on the fate of their friends. Had they managed to escape? Where they still fighting for their lives? How far were they from the same fate as himself and Bee?
As she spoke, his eyes turned to the door, gazing into the darkness beyond. He could only guess what lay beyond, heaven, hell, or only nothingness. There was a tug, a pull he felt toward that empty blackness, one he imagined everyone felt.
"To know the answers, it's terrifying, we might not like what we see. And yet, those questions, I can't ignore them, but I don't know if I'm ready yet."

Three was rather sure that Fiver II would have indeed accepted in a heartbeat, though three himself was more grounded in the reality that he was probably not the sort of individual that would have done the asking. It didn't seem that Z-5 needed any help to press forward and pursue what he wanted, well, if he didn't get brutally slapped down first, as A-Three seemed to unwittingly do verbally. In another lifetime he might have considered working on that, but no...he was not about to give up his scathing view of logic and the state of humanity, especially not the moronic fools that constantly surrounded him in these little games. "Tch. I am sure." He murmured, and gave Z-5 a bit of an awkward pat on the shoulder.
Striding over almost lazily in Z-5's more energetic wake, he listened as Fiver II invited Fiver to dance, and his possessive streak seemed to kick in...they were both his though, and he realized if he was to keep both of his...minions, henchmen, whatever they were at this juncture, then he would need to share them with one another. Hmph. Somewhere in there, the logic was flawed, he could distinctly detect suchly.
And then...idiocy came forth from Fiver's mouth. Fixing the other with a scathing glare that he could not very well have appreciated, with the mask in the way, he curled fingers into a fist, and snorted indignantly. "Another? It was annoying living through that the first time, and as you can see..." He pointed out A-7 and his cohorts, "The selfsame crew that slaughtered us last time is going, not to mention it is likely just another game by our ever so gracious hosts in order to see us kill one another all over again, so unless you're gleeful about another bloodbath..." He shrugged his shoulders. "I'd...much rather that the lot of us...remain here, and eventually go in peace. Already their precious little...phoenix squad..." It was said with a certain amount of distaste, "Has disbanded, split in twain. I'd much rather the lot of us face the unknown, than all die once more."

"I had thought of that, but we don't even know where they are now" She responded "If they did get out of that place then I'm hoping they are smart enough to lay low until the seven days are over" Not that this island was an easy place to hide out in - it was rife with killer shadows, monster horses and mysterious texts that lured people to their dooms - weren't they proof of that themselves? Even Boss' story - being thrown to pit of bloodthirsty fish ad then poisoned by dart lent credence to the islands nature.
And yet still she had signed up for this, and perhaps soon she would know why. Not yet...no she still wanted to know what happened to her teammates..but soon maybe "I'm afraid having been through this experience I might not like the person I was before" She admitted "So I suppose that I too will wait for a bit longer"

"You're staying here?" A-Nine looked at A-Two with big wibbly eyes, which probably would have had more of an impact if they weren't all wearing masks. "But... " A-Nine looked at her other Phoenix squad members and then back at A-Two. "Won't you be lonely here by yourself??"
Impulsively, she reached out to take A-Two's hand and give it a comforting squeeze. "I don't want you to be lonely."
A-Nine fidgeted, indecision showing plainly in her entire posture. "But I... I want to help out." She turned to A-Seven. "That is, um, if you guys still want me along?" She hung her head a little.
"I know I wasn't very useful before, but I tried?" A-Nine paused and took a deep breath, straightening her shoulders and facing all of her teammates each in turn. "I still want to try."
She looked at A-Two again. "Will you be okay? You won't be mad at us if we go, will you?"
